  1. I'm surprised that the tierlist only goes down to D so far. Brawl had like the half of characters and this list went to H iirc.
  2. Well, I can grant your wish until the voting is over. Ik kan niet mijn nederlandse vrienden teleurstellen.
  3. The dislike bar in the video made me laugh. As uncreative the Legendary Hero is (I didn't expect anything interesting and new anyways), as decent is the pool this time. Flying Nino and Marth as new unit and more Hector and Veronica merges would be nice. And hey, and the Hero has some nice fodder. I will do more than one circle this time unlike in former months. Also I hope Rena won't return to this forum soon to read this...
  4. I have themed most the characters in the poll already. Haru is one of the few ones I haven't yet.
  5. You missed This apparently. Tear was my third avatar iirc. I themed her about two years ago when I played FE5 and I have some nice art of her.
  6. Shall I call it a "New Year's special"? Whatever... I let you decide which character to theme in 2019 for a longer period (two months minimum). These listed characters are the 50 most important female videogame characters for me mainly in terms of appreciation. If you also want to post a fanart of chosen character, feel free to do it In that case you want me to theme Zelda, then I need to know which version (= game). Submissions are taken till 2018/12/31 12 AM EST.
  7. Honestly I would have appreciated to see the blades put in a spoiler because there are blades mentioned I know from other games. Regardless the sondtrack of this game is just marvelous. The theme in Uraya is one of the most beautiful themes I have heared yet.
  8. @Interdimensional Observer Thanks for the tips! Ah, that means the number of encounters per dungeon is fixed, but just not the time? That sounds fair. I did the first boss in my third attempt with a defend and healing strategy. For someone who is not really experienced with Square Enix's games, it felt like to get thrown in icecold water. As I said before the story appeals me, so I have the motivation to playthrough this. I just hope the difficulty won't rise as much as Bravely Default did to me which caused a ragequit.
  9. I started with this game and picked Ophilia's story. I'm doing the first dungeon right now. There are two things which are bothering me right now: 1. Random encounters 2. First boss The first boss is a survival fight apparently because there was a remaining turncount shown in an advanced number of turn. Since I have no good experiences with Final Fantasy and Bravely Default, but I still want to do this game just because of the story, I need a few tips. I know Ophilia's guide command summons an ally, but I do not know exactly how to make the best use of it since I have only limited usage. I ran out of this command during the bossfight. From what I've heared random encounters can't be removed. It's unfortunate, but I have no other choice than to deal with it somehow.
  10. There are grass tiles next to the mentioned general which cost movement. Idk remember how much they cost, though. I'm fairly certain this is the reason. I've never ever heared of that kind of glitch of a FE10 copy. Try the same with the other paladins. If same happens, then you have the confirmation it's not a glitch.
  11. It doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Mangs's playstyle matches perfectly with Chiki's quality of posts. I can't take someone as a FE LPer serious, who managed to get killed by Greil in FE9.
  12. Till 10th January these games are on sale worldwide atm - Mario Kart - Splatoon 2 - Octopath Traveler Furthermore these games are on sale in European e-shop atm - Civilization VI - Valkyria Chronicles IV - Okami - various Megaman games
  13. As for someone who started with the Tellius series, which had brilliant story and gameplay, I had high hopes and expectations in Awakening. But it couldn't fulfill them in the slightest. The plot of the first part (till Emmeryn's death) was fine despite more or less a copy of FE9. After that the plot went downwards. Though the story wasn't the worst, it was the gameplay. First this game is totally unbalanced by having pair up for the player, but not for the opponent. This advantage should be cancelled out by giving the enemies OP skills in higher difficulties. Lunatic (+) is just fake difficulty. Second, the major issue, is that this game has no other mission objectives aside of rout and defeat boss. Classic defend missions don't really exist except the pseudo one in Tiki's paralogue. This made the game incredibly boring after a short time. IS learned from that and brought some good things back in Fates. Conquest was gameplaywise a great part, Birthright is FE13 likish and Revelation tried to be innovative by adding map gimmicks which failed for the most part unfortunately. Storywise all three games were trash, but that's forgivable as long their gameplay is fine, which was the case in all three parts. Of course Conquest did it best. Fanservice might be an issue, and yes it ruined certain potential interesting characters like Camilla, but this is common in modern RPGs. FE4 did it perfectly with its marriage system. And although it's (more than) 20 years old both Judgral games are not less modern than Fates in terms of plot and gameplay.
  14. Unlike in most other parts you can use your "Jeigen" till the end of the game because the enemies will have low stats. Prepromoted enemies have worse stats than tier ones except in very lategame. Titania has reached a point when she can't ORKO everyone anymore, so she works perfect for preparing kills. However on the other hand she's not needed anymore. Chapter 8 was the chokepoint when you were low on ressources and units. Now you can forge and will get a lot of good units in the upcoming chapters.
  15. My most used characters online are Zelda, Lucina, Ganondorf, Snake and Jigglypuff. I wanted to favor the Castlevania duo, but I can't play as them; I really hate their recovery. Also wanted to love Wolf, but he has a really ugly voice right now.
  16. Freepulled Kliff. He's -atk, literally the only unit who wants this bane. An early christmas present!?
  17. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and Super Smash Bros Ultimate are the only games released in this year I've played / still play. Xenoblade is totally new for me. I couldn't play much yet, but my very first impressions are very positive. Love the overworld, characters and music. I needed some time to get used on the battle system, but I think I could overcome with it. Will definitely play further upcoming days. Smash is more or less what I expected. A brilliant multiplayer and online game with the huge cast of characters, but not really appealing for single players. Whilst the solo mode became more interesting by giving each single character an own theme mode, story mode is really boring. Just handicap fights (I find really tedious and annoying) and nothing else. I mean it's Smash, so definitely a great multiplayer game. But I wouldn't call it "game of the year" for sure. As for 2019 I'm only interested in Tales of Vesperia so far. Since I played the PS3 version I know the full content. Still it's a game I would like to replay at any time. And reading non JP textes and listening to Patty in English would be just great. It would also be the ultimate chance to complete postgame. In the PS3 version I didn't come very far in Telescopia Graveyard.
  18. Persona 4 I didn't enjoy most bossfights and they forced me to grind a lot. Also the plot didn't impress me at all. Final bland dungeon and boss came out of nowhere. FE11 This game is ok gameplaywise, but otherwise it has nothing really to offer. Most of these characters are just bland and most of them aren't usable. It has no replay feature for trying to use different teams from run to run.
  19. Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn Sim City 4 Die Siedler 3 Age of Empires II (I don't own the three last named games anymore)
  20. Persona 3 was my second longest game with ~65 h, although it could be shorter easily by 10-15 h, if I hadn't done demon grinding, And yes, Sae is best girl. Wished more good fanart of her existed.
  21. Persona 5 is long, REALLY long. Of all videogames I've played yet it has been the longest. Needed >90 h to beat it. However no single minute was wasted. Overall it was a great game! And yes, demon negotiations as in SMTIV are annoying instead of fun. It was like the only thing I didn't like in this game.
  22. Nintendo games normally don't become cheaper unless they reach a certain status like Zelda A Link Between Worlds, Ocarina of Time or Starfox 64 for 3DS. I don't the exactly condition for that though. Third parties grant some special sales from time to time. Could remember when I got SMTIV for the half price on a special sale by Atlus. However there are a few events like Black Friday each company grants a sale. Nintendo offered more than a half dozen of games for a dropped price (Breath of the Wild, Xenoblade Chronicles 2...). It's not much, but it's something at least.
  23. In Tales of Xillia 2 anyone but Ludger. Even Rollo is more interesting plotwise than him.
