  1. Dead center could work. And since flames don't really work for Alm, they could be replaced with a teal glow a la Scendscale, and his Neutral B could still be like Flare Blade but with said glow plus the shimmering glints of light like it did while charging it in Melee. But would a full charge do recoil damage? Or could it have a shorter charge that does less damage than Flare Blade but no recoil? Move name changes: Flare Blade --> "Scendscale α" (as an opposite to Ragnarok Ω, and I'll stress again the actual Scendscale is just perfect for his Final Smash, what with all of them now being quick, sometimes-cinematic finishers) Double-Edge Dance --> "Double Lion" (the end of the up combo already kind of resembles it. Maybe Alm's could be slower like we're used to before Ultimate sped the others up, but stronger, like that one custom move)
  2. Yes! I would love that so much! If I can't have BK/Zelgius even as an Ike palette, I'd be plenty happy with Morgan as a skin. I also agree that Celica being an echo fighter of Robin just would not feel quite right.
  3. I'm all for Chrom being an echo fighter of Ike, but as far as FE echo fighters go, what would you think of having Eliwood as one of Roy? It'd certainly work well considering they're father and son, and Durandal could still have fire properties being that it's the Blazing Blade. Only problem is they look very similar to each other, it could cause confusion, in which case an alt may work better, even with Roy still having his Eliwood palette (give Eliwood a Roy palette then for the lols). Oh nonono. The Duma stab I could see working as a Side Smash or Down Smash, but his FS should definitely be Scendscale. And of course he's gotta be left-handed.
  4. Looking forward to Marth 'cause, again, they took way too long to finally have him speak English in Smash (hopefully Roy too). Will also be nice to finally play Wolf again. And though I've personally never been a huge Metroid fan, Ridley looks like a lot of fun (btw, the gameplay portion in his reveal trailer, where he {probably Down Smash} hits Link with his tail and Link just falls over then blows up a la lava hazard KO? I have a hunch that was a subtle hint at Stamina Mode--and by extension, Special Smash--making a return).
  5. He-hey! Marth will finally speak Engish in Smash, as expected. I liked his Smash 4 artwork, but I must say, his new art is lookin' pretty dapper. Sooooo.....I presume Roy will speak English, too? After Heroes, there's pretty much no reason not to. The guys at GameXplain really got some things right on the money. At the same time though, some things I know disappointed them inside. They finally get Ridley, but Bomberman is only an Assist Trophy. Like, I feel happy for them, but I'm also so sorry... ._.
  6. Even then, you can get Lloyd off the throne by talking to him with Nino (yet to my knowledge she cannot do the same in Linus's version of COD. Kinda strange, though he is more brash than his brother). Yes, he becomes a moving Swordmaster boss, but in this case you can easily set things up beforehand. I think Lloyd will not attack Nino after the talk, but I can't recall, so you may want to rescue her out of there anyway.
  7. Now that my two big faves are in the game, the next one I'd like to see is Nergal. He's the only GBA major antagonist yet to be added. I was hoping he'd be the GHB in this recent Black Fang-themed banner (btw why is Karla in there? Was she ever associated with the Black Fang? I don't remember.) Nope, here's Linus. I agree that "deserved" is not the best term, but considering Nergal is the first major antagonist that most western gamers had the pleasure of thwarting, well I think that warrants a place in Heroes alongside his GBA villain brethren. You can't have Zephiel and Lyon in there and not have the Dark Druid between them.
  8. Now how in the world could one make a powerhouse like Zelgius work as a main protagonist? For an FE, seeing as he dies before the end of Radiant Dawn, it'd have to be a prequel-midquel set before and then during Path of Radiance; You go through his time training with Greil, to meeting Sephiran and donning his new black armor and ego, to his life as leader of the Begnion Central Army prior to and then during Ike's involvement in the wars through both games. But I think it would need to end before his death at the end of RD, because I'm not sure how you'd keep that battle intact while suddenly being required to lose the fight. Overall this would probably work better as a short gaiden game, without actually being Gaiden. Otherwise...I dunno, have him be the main character of a Soul Calibur-style fighting game? It's harder than I thought to come up with something that isn't "Be the Lu Bu of Fire Emblem Warriors". 'Course I would love to see that, if nothing else. Female Morgan: Insert Awakening pre-midquel involving the child units. Maybe actually show what Morgan's future was like and why it's different from the other future. I mean what else could you do?
  9. I'm in the "focus on Nintendo's conference" boat, also hoping for some KH3 news from Square. On the Nintendo side of things; I, like the rest of us, am hoping to see some FE Switch. Then I personally hope that right after that they go "We've got even more Fire Emblem on the way. Please take a look.", then proceed to show a trailer for BB or GotHW remake. It's such a real possibility, my mind just bursts with excitement. I know I shouldn't be hyping myself up like that, but I simply cannot help myself. Even if I'm disappointed on that front, at least Smash won't disappoint. I'm also partially hoping for more FE amiibo figures (I'm surprised Lyn hasn't gotten one at this point), but at the same time I'm not sure I want there to be more yet because they're such a prime target for scalpers. And I'm only missing 3 of the current 11 FE amiibo. I like GameXplain as much as the next guy, but rumors are still rumors no matter who's discussing them.
  10. So long as FF Tactics is in there, I'm game. Now that I'm thinking about it, FE x Tales could be fun too.
  11. FE x Sonic the Hedgehog. For some reason my mind is always crossing them over in many ways. I can't imagine this ever becoming reality, though. Smash is as close as it'll ever get.
  12. Indeed, there may never be a fullproof solution for leaks. Ultimately the best solution is to stay off the internet, but let's face it, no one wants to have to do that just to preserve suspense. I still watch Youtube, well aware I may get spoiled by related video titles, thumbnails, or what have you. In that case, it's as much my fault for looking as it was the uploader for talking about a leak. C'est le vie.
  13. It all comes down to the fact that there's no real hype due to the lack of content. I'm really confused as to why Nintendo is being so hush hush about it this time, if it's as close to completion as it seems. I mean, just look how active this thread is. 13 pages in three months, the SSB4 thread got to 13 pages in five days. It was probably the most active thread on this entire site's history, and we're not even a dedicated Smash community. All because they were releasing stuff on a near daily basis. This time around it's just nothing, so people's reactions are the same. I'm surprised and even a little irked that you (Glennstavos, at least) want there to be leaks. Speculation and screen/Smashified character mockups are fine and dandy, but leaks? No. In truth I hate leaks, because the ones that end up being real have their surprise factor effectively spoiled. Remember when Ryu and Roy (and Shulk to a degree) were leaked shortly before their official reveal? That ruined the surprise for a lot of people, myself included particularly for Roy. I unintentionally discovered the leak first, and after my excitement died down from Roy's reveal, I was left a little bitter that I didn't get to really be as surprised or excited as I would've been. After the Gematsu leak and especially the ESRB leak--which need I remind you, got the leaker fired from their job and deservedly bashed by the internet--can you really blame Nintendo for not wanting to repeat this mistake with Smash 5? With this being one of the most hyped E3's ever, I certainly do not blame them one bit. I saw this vid recently discussing how leaks hurt a game's development cycle, citing Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle as a prime example. And I agree with him. I'm avoiding any and all leaks because I want this year's E3 and Smash Bros presentation to be a complete, legitimate surprise, as it should be. You may not agree, and you aren't obligated to. If you like looking at leaks and datamines, that's your call. Personally, I will steer clear of most of that jazz.
  14. Fighting Velezark lost its gusto real quick, especially in the DLC maps where he's everywhere; such that it was always annoying after beating the main enemy hero of a map and seeing the HUD not disappear, which let me know that (with the exception of a few specific maps) I was about to fight Velezark again. And usually when I'm close to the 15-minute mark, DAMMIT! But my characters are so strong they easily take him down in less than 30 seconds. So......I'd rather not have more of that in a sequel. In fact, I'd like to see more of the major human antagonists be major bosses with stronger movesets that require a bit of strategy to defeat; like, for instance, actually needing to block certain attacks to force an opening. I'd love to fight villains like Zephiel, Ashnard, Black Knight, Nergal, Hardin, etc. in such a fashion. And they all could be unlockable and playable in their own mode a la Ganondorf (at least if having them on the good side proves impractical as far as mid-battle character dialogue exchanges go).
  15. Yesterday I 100% S-ranked History Mode; including all DLC, all Anna battles, and activating all personal weapon scrolls and opuses. Whew... I've never had so much fun. Not bad for my first Warriors game, huh. Obviously I have the game already so no need to enter me into the giveaway. Anyway, I've got two new questions for ya. Did FEW crash on you often, if at all? You do think Koei has finally ironed it out with 5.0 (or whatever version it is now)? Did you ever imagine in a million years that Fire Emblem would become as big a franchise as it is now? In fact, take a step back; put on the heartwarming FEW track "Bonds"; and look up in awe as you think about how far this beloved series has come, as I'm doing right now.
  16. Generals, followed by Swordmasters and Heroes. Despite my name, Barons are not my favorite version of Knights (maybe Jugdral Barons, but that would be too easy); Generals in FE8 and Marshalls in FE10 are my favorite versions. We don't see enough really strong non-Lord, non-special classes with swords. Only two sword-wielding classes in the GBA era reach the Strength cap of 30, and those are Great Lord (Hector) and King (Zephiel). FE8 Generals are 2nd highest with 29 Str. I'd like to see more of this with regular classes. Zweihanders in FE7x are a fantastic example. If they were official, they would definitely be my favorite class.
  17. Those guys, huh? *sigh* It still baffles me that such people exist. To me, they aren't true FE fans. Why would any fan want a game in their favorite series to fail; especially a crossover we have wanted for years, all simply because it didn't have characters they wanted? And with FEW it's particularly irrational, because the game failing would mean no chance of getting a sequel with characters they do want. Honestly they should be thrilled about it selling a mil and bolstering those chances like we are. I suppose it's just your standard troll logic; Dumb and incomprehensible no matter how you slice it.
  18. "It was successful!" "It was successful!" "It was successful!" "It was successful!" "It was successful!" "It was successful!" "It was successful!" SHUT UP, FREDERICK! *ahem* A...a million? Really? Somebody pinch me. I'm genuinely surprised it managed to reach a million in less than half a year. It pleases me greatly to see that it outgrew the too-many-swords and too-much-Fates complaints. I honestly thought it would get dragged down because of that. Thankfully, people are not so stubborn to let that stop them from buying a game from a series they like. I'm glad a sequel is so much more likely to happen now; it could rectify what few problems this game had. Oh, and if we still have personal weapon scrolls and opuses, please don't make us farm 10,000 KO's to unlock True Power. That was a bit annoying. 'K thanks, Koei.
  19. Looks fantastic. Now I can stare at the sky and feel like I'm promoting whenever I visit the forum. ^_^ The bigger avatars are most welcome as well.
  20. I don't know if it's available in EU Gamestop's, but there are other Wired Switch Controllers made by other 3rd parties. I own one of these (there's other skins besides Mario), made by PowerA. And they're actually officially licensed by Nintendo. It works wonderfully; I've had zero problems with it. If you can find one, I highly recommend getting it. I dunno what US$30 is in euros (pounds? Sorry, I forget), but it's still half the price of a regular Pro Controller.
  21. Rally and Lazar from Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's. I mistook both of them for females. I was freaking shocked when they were referred to with masculine pronouns. Rally looks and sounds like a girl (in fact, according to the Yu-Gi-Oh Wikia I used to refresh my memory, the American Spanish dub did refer to Rally as a female), Lazar looks effeminate and sounds like a silly woman (looking back, he kind of gives me Excellus vibes).
  22. "Mighty Duma......your dear sister hath asked that we strike thee down. And so we shalt expunge thine darkness and send-eth thee into eternal rest! I will ensure this comes to pass!"
  23. Um... They did. Anyway, the first part of Tearing Shadows (sans intro) sounds weird to me and unfitting for Fire Emblem. The rest is kickass as everyone has said. Me personally though, when it comes to new tracks in FE remakes, I much prefer Clash of Two Virtues from Shadow Dragon. You go to fight Michalis and Camus and suddenly hello, unexpected kickass boss music.
  24. It's real, and there's more than just Medeus. Actually, this theme collection isn't anything new. It's been in the music section for years. Still a weird collection though. Never understood the purpose of it.
  25. Now that the Reignited Trilogy is officially confirmed. I'm ecstatic. I grew up with the original Spyro and Crash trilogies. The more I can add to my Switch library, the better. Favorite of the trilogy overall: Year of the Dragon, with Ripto's Rage in a close second. Favorite world or level in Spyro the Dragon: Alpine Ridge (there's a ledge with three green druids which I love visiting just to watch them run around going "DAHHHH!" and laughing at you. They're easily my favorite enemies in the game next to the mooning Peace Keepers soldiers) and Haunted Towers (for the infinite fairy's kiss powerup that lasts until you leave the level {or die :P }) Favorite world aesthetically is Dream Weavers, but I gotta give a shout-out to Peace Keepers for the aforementioned soldiers that moon you. We all love those guys. Just hope they don't make their butts look TOO good in HD. ':D Favorite world or level in Ripto's Rage: I'll list my favorite from each world. (Favorite world aesthetically is Summer Forest) Summer Forest - Aquaria Towers Autumn Plain - Breeze Harbor (I actually liked riding the trolley) Winter Tundra - Metropolis Favorite world or level in Year of the Dragon: Favorite world is tied between Evening Lake and Midnight Mountain. Favorites from each: Sunrise Spring - Seashell Shore (partially for the fight with Bluto) Midday Gardens - Enchanted Towers (fun to fly around with Sgt. Byrd, but mainly for the best skateboarding area in the game) Evening Lake - Fireworks Factory (overall favorite level in the game. The first-person shooter challenge with Agent 9 always immediately reminded me of Wolfenstein 3D as it was the only FPS I had ever played at the time) An honorable mention goes to Charmed Ridge because the cats yelp like Homer Simpson when you kill them, and for some reason I always loved that. Midnight Mountain - Agent 9's Lab and Haunted Tomb (yes, I actually like this level. Even the tank challenge. But especially the Agent 9 challenge). BONUS: Favorite Flights/Speedways: Spyro 1 - Sunny Flight Spyro 2 - Metro Speedway Spyro 3 - Country Speedway (however Mushroom Speedway has my favorite Hunter challenge) Favorite playable character in Year of the Dragon: If you couldn't tell, it's Agent 9, hands down! He's a very entertaining motormouth character, plus I have a thing for laser guns. ;) He's also my favorite monkey character in gaming. Favorite main villain: Honestly I can't choose. They're all great. Favorite boss: Spyro 1 - Doctor Shemp (more for the level itself, actually. Particularly the crazy suicidal knights that jump off the level to their doom if you dodge them) Spyro 2 - Ripto (I like the {admittedly small} variety of powerups Spyro and Ripto get from the orbs) Spyro 3 - The Sorceress (for the vehicles you can use against her, especially the flying saucer. You can even shoot down the balloon with sleep to get more health if you aim just right) Are you good at the flights/speedways? Yes, but not at first. I sucked at the first game's flights when I was a kid. Now I can do them with little effort. Be honest: Are you a good glider? Yes, though the first game's gliding took a while to master since there was no hover yet. How about supercharging? Are you a master at that? Actually pretty good. And like Glennstavos said, come Tree Tops you had to learn how to utilize multiple supercharge ramps if you wanted to get 100% in the first game. I've beaten all three games 100%, including obtaining all of the skill points in 2 and 3 (though it took me the longest time to get the second skill point in Molten Crater (where you gather all the tiki heads at the entrance with Sgt. Byrd. I actually had to wait till I was old enough to be allowed to look things up on the internet before I finally figured it out). That gave me trouble until I realized how I was supposed to do it. But tbh I actually cheated it by jumping at the powerup to lift myself to the upper area then make a sharp turn back towards the metal door. Even that took a long time to perform.
