  1. In Fire Emblem Awakening, the timeline Lucina and the other children characters were originally from saw the world being turned into an apocalyptic wasteland by Grima the Fell Dragon. In order to prevent such a future from happening again, Lucina and her group traveled back in time.

However, in doing so, Lucina brought forth an even darker future even though the world has been saved -- a future that shall affect Fire Emblem games to come... by being waifu material in the eyes of much of the fandom!

The franchise has been saved... but... will it ever be the same?

  2. Yes, but does it try to be anything that it is not? I think everyone knows what they are getting into when they buy that game.

I'm not sure what you're point is, or even if you have one.

Basically, IS could have possibly taken the decision to take the fanservice even further and potentially annoy more fans, partly since Waifu Emblem has just promoted into Wincest Emblem. Senran Kagura Burst looks like an M-rated game but managed to get a T-rating even if the amount of fanservice and some instances of offensive language might have made it M-rated. With how lewd some of the characters may sound, especially in an S-support with Avatar, I wouldn't be surprised if Wincest Emblem would somehow end up promoting into Hentai Emblem. The game is also pretty progressive, too, as it not only allows incestuous marriages, but it also allows homosexual marriages.

  3. Yeah I know what you mean, the complaints get out of hand a lot of the time, look at all the whining about Bayonetta 2 being Wii u exclusive. Nintendo saved the series and instead of being happy about getting a sequel they complain about it not being on PS4 or XBone. I admit to having some grips with Nintendo about Amiibos, but I know that the demand is so high and scalpers so bad that they can't make enough to meet the demand.

I can agree with the part about Amiibo as that subject is my current grievance with Nintendo -- to me, it seems like a lousy business decision on their part to overproduce the Mario and Link amiibo figures when they should diversify and make more money by making more amiibo of other figures -- they could make much more money by being able to meet the demand for character figures of less popular franchises (when compared to Mario, Pokemon or Legend of Zelda). They could have made the extra money that is now being put into many a scalper's pockets. This is NOT an attack, but legitimate criticism.

  4. The salt is real on this thread.

There isn't any direct details that S-rank supports aren't going to be a thing in FE: Fates as far as I know. Heck, it could very well be possible that Kamui cannot romance any of the family members (Ryouma, Xander, Sakura, etc.) but can romance other characters such as Felicia or his/her (adoptive/blood-related) siblings' subordinates.

Point is before you jump to any conclusions, look for details or wait.

  5. Pichu doesn't need to come back -- in Melee, it's designed to be a joke character/handicap character as implied by its in-game trophy and IMO, a poor excuse for a Pikachu clone even though its recoil gimmick makes it rather faithful to its Pokedex entry and anime appearances.

However, if I wanted a Pikachu clone, I'd rather have Raichu, Pikachu's evolution, be the Pikachu clone especially since the main series Pokemon anime likes to have Ash's/Satoshi's Pikachu have a rivalry with Raichu -- it's not far off from the rivalry between Mario and Wario.

I can agree with Young Link not coming back since there's Toon Link now -- and one of Toon Link's custom B moves is Young Link's Fire Arrow!

I'd love to see the Ice Climbers return but that comes down to the devs figuring out a way to implement them into the 3DS version of Smash Bros. As of now, it's proven to be impossible or they haven't figured anything out yet.

I can definitely see Wolf return to Smash Bros., especially since a Star Fox (which was considered practically dead years ago) game is on the way for the Wii U, Smash Bros. needs another villain and that Wolf isn't really a clone of Fox or Falco.

  6. Quite a few people seem to like using Roy more than they like using Marth or Lucina. If this is representative of the general playerbase, I can see Roy being higher tiered than Marth and Lucina are.

Based on how Mii Brawler was ranked according to ZeRo, I can see Ryu being a high tier character though Ryu most likely has a learning curve going for him thanks to his many options, especially with the classic Street Fighter inputs.

Lucas could be a high tiered character considering that Ness is high tiered according to ZeRo, especially since Lucas has one of the strongest, if not the strongest, up-smash in the game.

I'm not too sure how Mewtwo would fare on the tier list, but it has its large size and being the second lightest character in the game going against it.

Tier lists boil down to usage statistics and competitive results. Characters' abilities don't always guarantee high rankings as they all need several or (preferably) lots of players to make them work and kick ass against other characters with similarly skilled players.

  7. I can see it now that the Mii Brawler Amiibo is going to be most broken ever like Ryu. :)

Mii Brawler is part simplified Ryu and part better Little Mac.

I can see the Mii Fighter amiibo either selling out REALLY quickly or being the MOST COMMON amiibo figures ever since Smash Mario and Link.

  8. Down + A? Why do that when you can skip everything with Start?

Anyway, those convenience features are there for... Convenience. They let you experience exactly as much of the game as you'd like to. You can clear something like Sacred Stones with just as much effort, but it'll take longer because you can't do that. So I don't really see how the presence of convenience features is a problem- it's actually one of my favorite parts about the game.

My first playthrough (Normal/Cas, no Spotpass/DLC/Paralogues, occasional Risen) took 35 hours with no story skips and taking it easy. I think that's a fine amount of time for a playthrough.

That doesn't apply to certain battles, mainly certain boss battles that would have the boss speak (Gangrel, Walhart, Validar, Aversa) even if you have animations turned off and even if you have other actions set to Skip. You CAN'T use the Start button to skip the conversation but you can use Down + A to rapid scroll so you can then press the start button right afterwards. Also, the player who performed the speedrun in a livestream didn't even know about Down + A so he wound up having to manually press just A to get through the conversations until late in the speedrun.

  9. It still bothers me that the first three DLC characters have all been clones or semi-clones hopefully Ryu wont let me down

Dont get me wrong though I am still going to get the DLC regardless

Fun fact: Mewtwo is not a clone fighter character -- fact, it's the only non-clone character from Melee that didn't appear in Brawl. And there are plenty of noobs who think that Lucario is a clone simply because it has a similar neutral B similar to how they think Wolf is complete clone of Fox and Falco even though his non-special moves are different.
