  1. Sucks that you'll miss deadline, but you should leave a vote anyway. Your vote won't be the most educated one, but it's better than forfeiting your say in the lynch entirely. Not just for you, but for all of us.
  2. being text-sarcastic in a game in which it's nice to be clearly understood isn't the best idea ever also I don't know if I believe you, and no I for one was not helped to accept anything so did you? calm the fuck down I didn't say you should have done any of those things, if you mean you did pick the first available opportunity for your plan then that's great, say it directly and with less caps see this actually sort of makes sense, if only people wouldn't react to my accusations with such rage I don't really understand what you mean here. Nor this. This seems to be more "I don't agree with Subieko's opinions" than "Subieko's methods are suspicious". yeah this is a thing too so eclipse is scummy because bananas is scummy because meta of a player whose playstyle isn't properly developed yet whaaaat
  3. okay quick thoughts on the plausible lynch targets for today Shinori: Seems like a relatively unpopular wagon, still really jittery and he recently claimed. The fact that he did makes me hesitate, and I'll need some time to decide whether or not I believe his claim. If I don't, he's a future lynch target... if I do, he still may be a future lynch target. There's not much in the role he claimed that's indicative of alignment. Subieko: I don't really get this. In her most recent post, she was throwing accusations left and right. Where did the idea that she's trying not to get on anyone's bad side come from? Her earlier posts were timid, and she could stand to weigh in on more issues, but she appears to be trying. I think lynching her at this point would be preemptive. Marth: Like I said earlier, vig shot. Eclipse: Eh, I don't know about this. She's less proactive than I seem to recall, but lynching her solely on meta doesn't sit right with me. Kay: Her posts just feel hollow. This is already scummy on its own, and correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is what scum!Kay does. She has very few opinions, her vote is currently being put to use trying to get Psych to talk more, and she's "extremely suspicious" of Shinori but apparently that's not enough to support his lynch. I think this is the only wagon I'm comfortable supporting at this point in time, so: ##Unvote ##Vote: Kay I may have forgotten about one or two possible lynches but if I have they're probably not notable in my eyes anyway
  4. THE THRILLING CONCLUSION OF THE "FISHERWOMAN'S GIRL METHOD" prims stop making fun of me :( Excellen Okay, you opened with a reaction test that got us out of RVS pretty damn fast. Apparently some people have an issue with this and I don't understand those people. I don't agree, however, that the town should bullshit its way to meaningful discussion; we don't need the confusion. You went around telling a bunch of people to play properly and you were the third to vote Marth, I believe. You called bullshit on Marth when he announced his own shenanigans to be a reaction test, a stance I'll address when I actually get to Marth. I don't like how you essentially refused to post any reads for a fixed period of time then said "if I think I have made a solid case however you guys will know", it sounds kind of like you're trying to give yourself a free pass to sit back and be an active lurker, to use the term everyone around here seems to like all of a sudden, but since you're giving me pretty solid town vibes otherwise I'm willing to let it slide. The end of Night 1 sounds like a good time to dump it all, too. Strawman You are the worst to ISO (not really because I'm good at this). I don't know why your first action was to put down an announced random vote on page seven. You explained it, but... I still don't really understand. You seem to like me, Blitz and Excellen to varying extents, but Eclipse's lack of content drew your vote. You then withdrew the vote after she posted more, and judging by your comments at the time I guess it was a reaction test. You see the Shinori wagon as opportunistic and you seem to have the opposite opinion to me on that subject. You then voted Kay for her minimal content despite how much there is to talk about, making two "post more content" votes from you. I'm not really sure what that means yet. Elieson Your first post was fairly late, including the fourth vote on the Marth wagon to my recollection, but you've posted a lot since. You also called bullshit on Marth's reaction test, though I wish you'd make one post about someone else. Your points are sound though and it's not like you're ignoring everyone else. Still, there's kind of a problem when I can summarise your actions so far in like two lines. Manix You didn't like Excellen's early plan, at least until he revealed what he was doing. You jumped on Marth within five minutes. Since then you've replied to a whole bunch of posts, and later changed your mind on Marth, instead voting Bananas for jumping to conclusions or something, which I think is questionable and a bit weak. You completely misunderstood the Shinori wagon. I think maybe you don't entirely believe Shinori's claim? Be less defensive/defeatist. Prims saving marth for last You subbed in for Helios, then voted BBM for active lurking. You ended up not liking BBM or Eclipse right from the start, and you used-to-maybe-still-do think Excellen and I are silly town. You didn't like the Marth wagon and you seemed as convinced as Kay that what he was doing was a reaction test. You don't like how Bizz hasn't been doing much or how Bananas opinions look too safe, and you called for a vig shot on Timp for active lurking and meta. Judging by the lack of bold, though, none of those statements were particularly important. You don't like Subieko's hollow scumhunting and have similar opinions on Bananas and Eclipse. List of unfavoured/favoured wagons and an Eclipse vote. You like Shinori to some unstated extent and Psych is obvtown somehow, explain these in more detail please. You're doing your thing so far but you haven't really been in the game long enough for me to get a read. Maybe this section was a waste of time. Marth oh god, here we go. You start with an announced random vote when we're out of RVS already, and it wasn't long before you voted Blitz for a reason you proceeded to repeatedly refuse to disclose, regardless of votes being stacked against you. You've since said this was all a reaction test, but let's look a little closer. After a while, you told us to just think of it as an RVS vote. There are a few problems with this already - why didn't you decide to cash in on your reaction test at that point in time? This post also screams guy whose plan backfired and now he's trying to nullify the situation quietly, which even fits your meta according to some people. Why would you want us to think of it as an RVS vote, other than to erase your blunder from the record? Wouldn't us ignoring your vote run counter to the point of a reaction test? You soon returned to say what you did was "obviously" a reaction test - if it was so obvious in your opinion, why not go with something more subtle? "Obviously" also implies that you're trying to push the fault onto those of us who reacted. Again, why wait so long? Did you get the reaction test idea from Kay (you did)? Finally, you implied you did a "good amount of thinking" orchestrating all of this. Did you care to think about what the objective was, and how drawing the attention of the entire game to yourself was justified? Why did you post absolutely nothing about the results of your carefully planned test? Toss this case on top of Excellen's and Elieson's. I'm quite convinced that you're lying out of your ass, and the worst part is I'm not even sure what this says about your alignment. I'll decide what to do with my vote and whatnot after I've responded to some of the newer posts, but I'm thinking you're a prime vig target.
  5. Alrighty, have this half-assed whatever the fuck this thing is. There are questions in here, please answer the ones that are addressed to you, I don't want to have to keep track of who has and hasn't answered. Subieko It's really not surprising that Bananas reacted calmly to your vote, he was under relatively little scrutiny and your aggressiveness was Fluttershy Tier (You're mafia! I-I think...). Then you got distracted and voted for somebody else. You need to think about what you really want to achieve with your vote. You were kind of defensive early on too. You have a habit of overusing "imo" and negating your own points which isn't helping you make people take you seriously. It's not hard to imagine that you're scum trying to play it safe. Iris iris postgame more you have two posts. All I can reliably pull is that you think Subieko is scum, and really, I see your point, her posts at the time didn't look very good and she hadn't even accused Bananas yet. In fact, one plausible interpretation of the way she proceeded is that she hastily picked someone to go after to shake off your suspicion. I think this answers your first question. To answer your second, I'll get to Marth at some point. Proto You brought up the stage thing and you misinterpreted the point of the Marth wagon. I don't understand how you came to the conclusion that Shinori was the scummiest player on it. Your interpretation of Marth's actions and motives before he revealed it as a reaction test kind of contradicted each other, but I think the relevance of that has disappeared. Kay You defended Marth pretty hard and seemed 100% convinced that what he was doing was a reaction test. Despite the fact that you were correct, what inspired such certainty in you? If Marth flips scum, it won't reflect well on you. You managed to twist Strawman's "hey guys I'm here, not lurking" post into "hey guys don't hold me accountable for what I say" and I have no idea how. I don't understand how you got that idea about Eclipse. You think Subieko looks town - why? Helios You have made exactly one post. Please refrain from parroting shitty blame-the-victim philosophies from 4chan. You yelled at Marth in a scumbuddyish way, so I'll have my eye on you as well if Marth flips scum. Bananas First thing you did was bring up numbers, that isn't a good start. You posted a huge quote wall without much of use past "blitz might be trying to set up a mislynch" and an order of suspicions. You then proceeded to get caught up explaining why you don't like Marth, and seemed scared of voting, then you... voted Blitz because you were told to. Don't vote because you're told to. What, exactly, do you have on Blitz? If it's flimsy, maybe you really have no business voting him and you should reconsider where your vote is. You smell of scum trying to avoid being at odds with anybody. Eclipse You're telling people to talk and explain themselves and you're accumulating reads, as you do. You don't like Manix, presumably because of his attitude and allegedly sheepish Bananas vote. You like me, and I think you like Shinori? I kind of wish you were a little more open with your reads. It always feels like you're on the outskirts of discussion. Blitz Because of how you've been votehopping a lot more than anything else, I have no idea what you actually think of anyone. You're suspicious of Subieko? There's not much else I can figure out despite your decent post count. I'd like to hear more about your reads and reasoning. BBM You've spent a fair bit of time dealing with Marth, and you haven't cast a vote yet. Apparently, you have townreads on Marth, Bizz and myself, you see Subieko as neutral, and you don't like Manix or Shinori for their being on the Marth wagon without very good reasoning in your opinion. You are another person who told Marth to stop being a tool without voting him, I didn't notice that there were this many. bizuuuu Your playstyle is kind of concise, like some kind of Mafia for Busy (bizzy?) People. It seems you go through the thread slowly and give your opinion on whatever catches your eye, which is nice. Apparently you like Marth, Excellen and me, with weird/icky feelings about Manix, Kay and Shinori. However, you are horribly behind. Please catch up at your soonest convenience. Timp Three posts! You've weighed in on the Marth issue but have done little else, and the wariness of Excellen you mentioned is probably obsolete by now. most pore plz Psych You didn't like Excellen at five in the morning. In your one post since the weed wore off, you managed to develop the opinion that the entire Marth wagon was scum and I don't even fucking know. You seem almost prepared to lynch Helios over his one post (see above); what of the other players who said similar things? You never posted once more with feeling like you promised and hey another another townread for me. Shinori You kind of freaked out the most over Marth's thing, and I think that made a lot of people suspicious of you. When this happened, you got noticeably defensive and then unvoted, clearly because you felt pressured to. I cannot begin to imagine why an experienced player such as yourself would ever just back down like that as town. Let me put it this way - you're not scummy because you were last on the wagon, you're scummy because you're jumpy as fuck, you tunnel too hard on Marth, and you seem to think yourself the victim of a scum gambit except it's so poorly thought out that I can tell you made that idea up on the spot. Apparently, the Marth wagon was started by scum (Marth himself may or may not be scum). Assuming this is true, judging by the timestamps, Manix would have placed her vote, then turned to the mafia role PM. "Excellen! Naglfar! Let's start a wagon on Marth," she said. We both agreed pretty quickly, neither of us stopping to question the idea for long enough to determine whether it was good or not. Or perhaps three is too many, but for your scenario, no fewer than two of Manix, Excellen and myself could be in on this because you're not getting much of a wagon going with just one vote. However, you display no suspicion whatsoever towards any of the three of us. This hypothetical mafia's plan was to have someone not on the wagon pretend to not like it, and accuse someone late onto the wagon, who turned out to be you. This would be a weak case any way you cut it but that didn't stop us. The trap was sprung when Kay called you out and declared what Marth was doing to obviously be a reaction test, and then, like all mafia trying to secure a mislynch, didn't vote you. Her accusation didn't even have much sting in it. You then voted her, not so much for your theory than the fact that she hadn't posted much of substance even though it's still early in the game. And to top it all off, you seem more interested in video games than paying attention to this game, making you one of the least useful townies at best. Did I miss anything? I got distracted by the Homestuck translation team halfway through this and now it's like 2:50am ugh I'll finish this later. I know that a bunch of the most interesting players at this point are at the back end of the player list. But for now, I can't let this just slip by, and I need to sleep at some point. ##Unvote ##Vote: Shinori One more thing: we know the story from most of the people who chose to vote Marth during his reaction test. What of those of you who didn't vote, but instead yelled at him or called him a stupid or whatever you did? Why did you take the approach of not voting?
  6. I suppose I'd better explain. I think it's pretty clear what my intentions were, though. Read the post with my vote in it. I never intended to lynch Marth (though that may change, let me finish my analysis first) and I don't think anyone else on the wagon did either. He voted Blitz and implied he had a reason to do so, or at least that he "found him scummy". My vote, at least, was intended to pressure him into explaining his vote or at least saying something meaningful. Obviously, this hasn't worked at all. What I do next depends on the results of my analysis, particularly my analysis of Marth.
  7. So Eclipse has voted me now what she didn't say why marth wagon? I don't know
  8. ugh, pages, time for analysis or whatever
  9. no a taste for adventure? no let the squiddles sleep? no temporal shenanigans? half of them are dave songs you are the worst at homestuck
  10. yes it's fucking sensible this is mafia, a game in which we use logic and reasoning and shit
  11. I'm just going to ignore everything you say because none of it means anything. Okay?
  12. note to self: don't join jibbles games
  13. Can you explain what's wrong with my post, or is that a secret too?
  14. ##Unvote ##Vote: Bluedoom if we pile votes on you will you stop this bullshit
  15. If someone wants protection they could post their chosen stage and ask for the doctor to follow them, though this might be risky. Informative roles might have to make do with what they get. Kaoz already said that he reveals who went where when he posts the lynch. If this is true, well done, it worked. This does sound kind of like something one would be advised to say by one's scumbuddy, though. BUT I'm inclined to believe you because now that I think about it you were never that rude, blame the fact that we've hardly ever played together
  16. copypaste the URL you're trying to use
  17. Crystal clear. Shit, now I don't know what to talk about! Subieko? Elieson? I see you in here. Anything to say?
  18. It depends on what exactly bothers you about Excellen, which it seems I don't quite understand yet. Even though there were a lot of swear words and it took him two posts to get to the part where he explains his stance, he did raise a good point - RVS here is kind of mechanical and of dubious effectiveness. There were clear problems in this, primarily how he was shoving his opinion down our throats and not offering an alternative to RVS. I'm guessing it's the former issue that's bothering you, but that just seems to be the way he is so it's a null tell for me. Combining the former with the latter, however, does catch my attention and moves my read of him ever so slightly in the directly of scum. Not enough to draw my vote, but the combination of those two facts could easily be a mafia-borne plan to stall discussion. What I need is evidence to support the theory that it really was, because possibilities on their own are a shitty case. I should come to a decision later in the phase, but please, tell me more about your decision.
  19. Good man. Now that's out in the open, I'd like to warn you that in the last game I played with Excellen he acted like this and flipped town. It's not like he doesn't have good points either, if his posts were more civil you probably wouldn't be suspecting him at all right now. In fact, I've been running around shooting down arguments and topics of conversation I don't like more than he has. Does that make you feel suspicious of me at all? If not, I suggest you reconsider your vote.
  20. I am interpreting this as you saying that you are prepared to keep your vote on me for an extended period of time in light of a logical inconsistency (this is not a tell in any capacity) that doesn't actually exist because the fault was in your poorly worded post. Stages are on-topic. This by no means implies that they are the optimal subject of discussion at this point or even a good one. Excellen, try not to insult or antagonise people in every fucking post you make. This is a game that is supposed to be fun, and it is not fun for anybody to read you swearing at people in bold and caps. Seriously, bold and caps? Calm your shit. Concerned how? What you want to say is as plainly visible as Jeremy Clarkson in an African village but tiptoeing around your opinions won't get us out of RVS any faster. Say what you mean.
