    So the generic weapons negate the buffs of ranged units and the new Armads is busted. Normal Hector might get a new refinement. I'm not sure about the new armor skill this Hector has.

    Most upgrades improve the effects of the base weapon, and maybe add something else.

    Vector's Armads has a completely different effect. So either it is separate (Vector Only), or Hector gains it as a new weapon skill (similar to Raven, Caeda, etc.), then you can either make Hector player phase or enemy phase oriented.

    Wow, Roy is super slow. He'll certainly be good for Brave Bow+, at least.

    Eliwood is an Armored Lance, and has the highest BST in the game alongside Winter Lissa and Zelgius. So now the highest BST in the game has a unit of each color. Also he's super strong and comes with decent speed. Dude really wants to avoid the bench, huh?

    Lyn looks pretty good... Is she the fastest Armor now? I don't know my Armors too well, so I dunno for sure, but I wouldn't be surprised.

    Just Here To Fight... I think that's just Hector in general, to be honest. Still, he looks... Wow, I think he just powercreeped himself. At least him having Armads means that it's probably gonna be refineable on regular Hector, hopefully.

    Finally, Lilina looks like a serviceable alternative to Gunnthra if I happen to pull her.

    I'm guessing Lyn to be the free unit, since she and Eliwood share a color and I don't expect him to be given away. I'd be extremely happy to be wrong though.

    Overall, I look forward to pulling for these units and failing to get any of them

    Yes, Lyn is now the fastest Armor. She has +2 Spd over Amelia, Henry, Robin, and Black Knight (34).

    Old Hector - 52/36/24/37/19      168
    New Hector - 50/38/21/40/24     173
    Stats =          -2/+2/-3/+3/+5        +5

    So, Hector powercrept himself similar to Zelgius.

    With 5 Valentine's Units, my guess is the 4 on the banner will be the 40%, the 5th a 20%

    I highly doubt they would give us such powerful units as Lyn and Hector (they look amazing!), but they did give us Black Knight, so....
    Roy given as a free Bow Cav? Maybe not.
    Eliwood or Lilina are my guesses. Maybe once we know skills, it will be easier to guess.

    Unless IS does something weird, we should be getting one of these units for free from a TT. 

    Who would you want, or who do you expect?
    Hector is my favorite character of these, so I'd want him to be free the most, but I'll guess that Eliwood is free.

    Even though I don't care for Seasonals, all these units look really good! So, once I get more orbs I might pull. (I also need an extra Raven to promote...)

    I'll want to see stats and skills first, but wow!

     

    Roy - Cav Archer
    Lilina - Cav Green Mage
    Hector - Infantry? Axe
    Eliwood - Infantry? Lance
    Lyn - Infantry? Blue Tome

    There should be one Armor unit, but no idea who. New skill sheet shows something armored related

    That is Armads over Hector's shoulder but there is no way he is going to have Armads. I'm guessing the gift in his hand is his actual weapon. Which would make him red

    I usually don't care for Seasonal Units (except for fodder, Winter Envoy banner especially!), but if it is Berkut and Rinea I will be both happy (and upset over no orbs)! Berkut is amazing, and having Rinea would be awesome! But, sadly, this is unlikely to happen.

    Having more non-FatesAwakening Seasonal characters would be great! And Echoes: SoV is a great start.

    I'd be fine getting L!Ike as the free hero because it helps with compendium completion, but there are other heroes I want more.

    Gunnthra - The other non-free legendary hero. I've tried pulling for her on both banners, and nothing. She would help a lot on my Horse Emblem team.
    Hector - DC fodder
    B!Ike - Steady Breath Fodder
    Winter Tharja/Lissa - Vengeful/Bold Fighter fodder.

    It will be interesting to see who makes it into the finals. And if the number of people who do not want L!Ike outnumbers the people who want L!Ike.

    Thanks! Brave Ike with Buffs is amazing. His special is Aether for arena, most of the time it is Bonfire. 

    I was planing on giving M!Marth Renewal, but at the time I did not have any fodder for that. I have a few Fae atm, so will consider it. Wings of Mercy has been helping a lot. With Fury Micaiah gets down low, then Marth can warp over to either heal or attack anyone close. (Current TT team).
    Renewal + Falchion is a good combo. Ardent Sacrifice worked when I was gaining 10 hp every third round, so I did not end up killing Marth, but when I get Renewal inherited, and see what Falchion buffs are, then I will consider Reciprical Aid.

    They do have the same artist, but the similarities are weird. (Ayra = Eirika's Goth phase).

    Main Team - I use this team a lot. Any daily maps, or new story maps, this is the team I use first.

    Masked Marth - Still building her/him up, but is a reliable passive healer, and a strong sword unit. I can't wait for the Falchion upgrades!!

    Delthea - Even though she is -Atk, she is a very strong attacker. With Dark Aura she is also great for buffing up B!Ike and Marth. Need a better IV.

    B!Ike - Currently my best/ favorite unit to use! He tanks almost everything! He has earned that Summoner Support time and time again.

    Brave Lyn - Used to round out the team (one of each color). But she is very strong. Good utility.

     

    Some units that I'm currently building/ recently finished building. I really like them in-game, and I use them as my secondaries/backups.

    Arvis - I really like his debuffs and utility as a passive healer. I've used him a lot in TT's. Thanks to the recent two TT's I've been able to merge him. SS will change/upgrade.

    Micaiah - Thani is amazing! Using her in this current TT, and she is great! She will take a main role on my future Arena teams.

    Berkut - One of my favorite characters in the series, so I was determined to build him up. Still need DC (And maybe a Gunnthra for a teammate), but his potential is amazing!

    PA!Olivia - One of my favorite dancers to use. Still building her up, but I do want to keep this passive healing build. (might get wind/watersweep).

     

    Rally For Marth To Join the CYL2 Winners

    Marth did win #5 overall, that is why he is shown on the main page of the CYL 2 results.

    As the "mascot" of the FE series, he has not been shown a lot of love in Heroes. We have more Camilla's than Marth's, this imbalance cannot continue!

    Marth should have gotten something for the anniversary, at least having his banner rerun, but nothing. (At least he will get a Falchion upgrade).

    The splitting of votes is very interesting. It makes sense for characters like Hector and Owain/Odin who appear in different games as either different characters or as older versions of them selves. Then you have Marth, the same character and roughly the same age in his games or is from a remake. Hopefully this can be fixed for next CYL.

    From a marketing standpoint, that is not a good idea. Nintendo knows better.

    They way they advertised Fates was amazing, give a teaser here, let the hype build up before giving a full trailer. I hope IS/Nintendo follows a similar strategy.

     

    Giving us that "It's coming" message helps build hype. We've gotten quite a few "leaks", which is getting excited and ready for an official announcement. They just need to release something soon. Wait too long and you lose a lot of momentum.
