  1. I've always liked the Whitewings, and, while there was no good reason for Palla, Catria, & Est to be here, I enjoyed there appearance here. Their new art is great, and the animation for Triangle Attack is fantastic. Of course, everyone knows that the best Whitewing is their founder, Minerva, but Palla is pretty cool too. Yeah, Shadow Dragon needed to have things like support conversations. But they got a lot more character development in New Mystery, as they each could have support conversations with each other, Minerva, and Kris. To be fair, Est messed up the natural order of the color attraction scheme. The blue-haired Catria likes the blue-haired Marth, green-haired Palla likes the green-haired Abel. So, Est, having red/pink hair should've gone after the red-haired Cain. That's the natural order of things. But, instead, she had to go be a rebel and marry a guy with green hair...
  2. The game came out last Friday, which means the first week of sales internationally just finished. So there's no data available yet with respect to this. I think we'll be able to find articles on how well it sold sometime next week.
  3. It's possible with the DLC. Don't kill Delthea, but they tell you that in the game. Palla & Catria were already mentioned, so were Deke & Tatiana. With respect to Deen and Sonya, you can only recruit one. There will be a point on Celica's route, when you're heading to take on Grieth, where Deen will be guarding the north path, and Sonia the south. The game lets you know ahead of time. You should decide which one you want beforehand, and then go fight the other. In other words, if you want to recruit Sonya, you'd go fight Deen. I recommend Sonya, because Celica's team already has enough mercs, but obviously choose which one you want. Nomah is easy to miss. On Celica's route, at the start of Ch. 4 (so after the sluice gate has been opened), you have to go back into the sluice gate. Now the that water is lower, you can go deeper inside, allowing you to find Nomah who should be benched as soon as you get him. You can block off the top part of the map by putting characters in front of the cracks on the right and left sides of the map. The terrors can't open the doors, and they can't attack from a distance. This means that you don't have to worry about what the enemy is doing on its turn, and you won't be overrun. You can have your distance hitters pick them off from across the pit if you want, while having your others focus on the ones that spawn on the right and left sides. You can also block off the spawn points, which is useful if you only want to focus on one character. If you don't want six characters dedicated to blocking the cracks, you can do this. Each time a character passes upwards over the cracks, a pillar will raise. The pillars don't raise when crossing downwards, so you can have two characters cross the cracks, which leaves one opening. They can come back down through the opening to safety, and then only one character needs to be sitting in front of the cracks. (Edit: Make sure you don't send someone over a third time, because then a third pillar will rise up, leaving them trapped on the other side! They'd have to come back down through the doors.) In any case, blocking off the cracks makes farming the map safe, easy, and quick. That's how I advise doing it, as the monsters get very strong after a point. No.
  4. Agree, Clair seems well justified in spurning Gray's advances, he just seems infatuated with her. I probably should've changed the language in my own post, rather than just sticking with what was said. In any case, I liked Clair's rebuke of Gray, it was perhaps more than he deserved, but oh well! Some people are into gossip, I'm not sure there needs to be a deeper motivating reason? It's certainly not limited to younger girls. But it's certainly immature, and Silque seems otherwise mature (from what little we see of her). Perhaps she didn't have any of that kind of chatter when she was growing up, since she traveled around a lot, and grew up in the religious environment. So perhaps she never really had the opportunity to do it earlier with other girls, and is trying to indulge in it now.
  5. Reporting for duty! Yes, that comparison seems better than, say, Faye & Tharja. I actually liked her C-support with Silque. Silque's kind of a gossip, and I rather enjoyed seeing Silque get shot down there. I personally tend to find overly chatty people to be pretty annoying. Not everyone likes chatting, and Faye was assertive about it, without being rude or condescending, she just didn't think there would be anything good to come out of chatting or being friends. Good points. As for me, I liked Clair bitching out Gray, I personally didn't care all that much for Gray. It probably didn't help my opinion of Gray when he consistently refused to get anything more than one stat when leveling up. I mean, come on, even Atlas was like, "Dude, bro, even my stat gains are better than yours..."
  6. I spent 9 orbs to do two green summons on the Weapon Triangle banner, hoping to pull a 5* star Cecilia, so that maybe I wouldn't have to spend 20k feathers... And then I pulled a 3* Cecilia (and a Nino). Ah well! Guess the game didn't want me taking shortcuts...
  7. I think that it might be nice if you could grind for orbs as well, even if it would take a long time, sort of similar to Hero Merit for feathers. And the more difficult quests should award more orbs. It would also be nice if you could exchange badges for feathers or orbs.
  8. As others have mentioned, Est marries Abel. However, at the end of New Mystery of the Emblem, Est...
  9. I've done some grinding for characters that came in at low levels, e.g., Est and Delthea. I've also done some grinding for money on the DLC map, because I like forging weapons and giving characters personalized weapons. This isn't something I thought was necessary, or needed to be done to progress, it's just something I thought was fun to do.
  10. For the most part, it's probably sarcastic. It's by no means something I'm legitimately suggesting would be a good idea. However, I do genuinely want a personal, unlimited supply of orbs. I trust this clarifies the matter...
  11. Infinite free orbs sounds about right to me.
  12. A score of 4,788 ranks me 5,961 in Tier 17, which is just about enough to keep me within the tier. As for defense, I got 5 wins this week, so I guess Azura, Reinhardt, Cecilia, and Celica do quite well together. Would've been nice if one of those had occurred last week, when I didn't get any! Joining me in the 12 Deadlords?
  13. I decided to plop my ~40 orbs into trying to summon Ninian or Hinoka. No Ninian, but I did pull a 5* Clair, and 2 Hinoka's! This is the first time I've had 2 of the same 5* characters! I don't know whether I want to merge them, or to use one for SI! Probably SI. But now I have Hone Flyers for Flyer Emblem!
  14. Did it on the first try, Hector just eats this map wholesale. I fielded Hector, Rebecca w/Brave Bow, Azura, and Reinhardt w/Reposition. I put Hector on the square to bait the mage and bow cav, and then they suicide on him. The pegasus knight starts coming down the mountain, and Lloyd and his lance cav goon advance. Rebecca nom noms the pegasus, while Reinhardt helps Hector move to where he wouldn't be pulled into Lloyd's range by the Lunge skill. Lloyd and the cav, if left to their own devices, just dance around each other. I had Hector tank the cav. Hector then finishes the cav, and Reinhardt kills Lloyd with dance assistance.
  15. Ah, ok. Wasn't clear from the context. I don't remember when we got that.
  16. Just go click on the gauntlet icon on the map, you get the rewards when you do that.
  17. No, it's still 500 feathers, like it always was.
  18. At some point, I decided I'd switch them both in all of my posts. I also used "flathers" and "feags" a couple times, you know, a merger of the words, but no one seemed to notice. *Sigh* Well, we have Xander now, but Camus needs to get his horse over here already!
  19. I'm ready for my flippin' flags too! Pretty soon, I'll have nearly 40k flags, which will be going to upgrading Camus (he needs to get here already!) and then Xander. Or maybe I might do Xander now. Cecilia will follow after those two, for true horse madness...
  20. NO MERCY! DESTROY DESTROY DESTORY DESOTRY USE ALL OF YOUR FEATHERS! SPARE NO FEATHERS IN THIS FINEST OF HOURS!
  21. I know what the item is, but I said I didn't get the 6,000 bonus points for the lead character. Hence, your reply didn't make sense, because it's not like that would've put Robin as my lead.
