Some of the game's biggest issues with stagnation (summoning pool, GHBs, etc.) arguably screw over new players even worse than old ones. I'm mostly surprised that a dev team as self-aware as Heroes' is still has troubles with managing content.

Remember that the definition of media goes beyond news (which is VERY influential) and books/shows/music/games/etc. Anything on Facebook or Reddit or whatever sites you happen to enjoy are part of it too. I doubt you'll be able to find anyone who's been less influenced by media than any other thing in their life other than isolated tribesfolk.

Well the blessing doesn't have to be infallible. It's like a lock, you either use the key like Ike or you smash. Dragon breath is super powerful and Laguz kings are kings for a reason (also Giffca rules). Amiti and other weapons might be really nice, but I'm guessing you need the force of a truck that Beorc just don't reach. Or not, I dunno. I'm okay with Ashnard being unwinnable for most characters 'cause I think he's a great villian and final bosses should be hard.

I always figured Ashnard's armor was mostly just so the final battle is more intense. Think about how many bosses -- final or otherwise -- are just tanks on a throne who politely wait for your team to slowly kill them. I forget when he starts charging your team, but it's supposed to be a turning point in a fight that obviously favors your team. Kinda like when the Black Knight shows up in Chapter 11. Not gonna defend RD or RD Ike though, partially because I don't disagree with you and partially because I need to replay it to really develop my thoughts on it.

I'm always like "oh but what nature should I go with" on experimental dudes, everyone else is either 5* locked or I just can't pull em (200k right now)

Especially in the final round given team sizes. Really sucks considering the odds of having two specific characters, usually at least one of which is 5* locked.

The whole point of making the weapons strikes instead of claws or talons or beaks or what have you would be to replicate breaths for dragons. Wolves bite, cats claw, hawks rake, ravens peck. Herons peck too, but whatever. Even among tribes, they'd have to limit weapons if they were names after body parts (and having Velouria eat Volug for his fangs is kinda weird, but we're past that). Let the weapons instead just be descriptors like "Fierce Strike", "Running Strike", "Poison Strike", and so on. Animate the weapon's hit effect the way specials or Fjorm's weapon are animated. Tada, now you have a weapon type that can be fully animated without having to thematically restrict anything by category or giving Laguz beaststones they never used.

Radiant Hero rolls off the tongue way better than the Blue Flames bit and ties with his English game titles. Strongest is cheesy and I don't care much for anyone being explicitly called the strongest 4eva.

I like a lot of em. Boyd and Charlotte are at the top for sure though, both as characters and as units. Wish Boyd got more screentime.
