I finally did it! After playing this game for a year and a half I finally managed to +10 a 5-star unit (though I wasn't really serious about merging units until the start of this year). I wanted A!Tiki to be the first unit fully merged in order to commemorate Y!Tiki being my first 5-star oh so long ago and was also inspired by @Astellius and @Sylphid after seeing how powerful their A!Tiki were in battle. If so here is the link... https://imgur.com/5J918rD Once I rake in more feathers Catria will be next since she is only one merge away and after that Mr. Reinhardt will be the third unit I work on for merges since I already have enough copies of him to merge to +10.

Today's free summon gave me a 3-star Tiki. Finally, I have been waiting for another one of her to show up so I can finally get my first +10 unit soon. Now all I need is the 22,000 feather to rank up and merge her. Probably going to spend all day grinding feathers through Rivals Domain.

I guess I was kind of 'lucky' in that regard considering I was aiming for Sumia and Maribelle but ending up with 2 Olivias instead because there were no blue or colorless orbs both times. Azura is my favorite refresher unit in Fire Emblem but Olivia has been growing on me especially since I somehow have all versions of Olivia in the game right now but I'm still missing PA!Azura. I kind of hope Performing Arts banner comes back sometime this year so I can try for Azura again and end up with another Inigo instead. Honestly, I don't like Legendary banners either as it is way too hard to pull for a specific unit. About the only unit I ever wanted from that is L!Robin just to complete my dragon team I have been working on and after showing up on 5 consecutive banners I still don't have her. I know most people would disagree but I kind of hope they don't introduce a new colorless legendary yet until after Robin shows up for me.

I actually have two copies of her (and was the only 'new' unit I managed to pull off of Ylissean Travelers banner). I already built one of them up and the one I haven't decided what to with yet. I kind of want to merge her because who knows I unlikely might find nine more copies of her some day but at the same time she has too many good premium skills like Bracing Stance and Chill Speed on her and another unit might want one of those skills so I decided for now to just let her chill in the barracks so I don't regret anything later. Sad to hear about Tana especially since flying red tomes and atk/spd push are still locked to seasonal units but who knows maybe she will show up on a future Legendary Banner once they get around to 2018 summer seasonals and you might get another one then (maybe one with a better nature even).

@mampfoid Hmm...strange, for some reason if I enter the forum topic from your notification your video say it cannot be displayed but if I enter the topic normally the video loads normally. Not sure if it is something wrong with my computer or something else. Also, R.I.P. Tana. I know I can't bring myself to fodder away 5 star exclusives such as YT!Olivia and K!Hinoka and let them continue to sit in my barracks.

Honestly, I am of the belief of all leaks are fake until proven true (I don't think I have ever seen a leak that 100% guessed everything correctly) and even though Gardevoir is a popular Pokémon Gothitelle alone makes me question the leak's validity (how popular is Gothitelle anyways?). Even Gardevoir is kind of a strange choice to me if they are picking from each generation since I always kind of assumed Blaziken (or any starter from Hoenn since all three of them are rather popular) was the face of Gen 3 . I have heard people joke about how Blaziken could be a Captain Falcon Echo Fighter for some time now. Though I honestly don't believe the smash devs care about having a playable rep from each gen but I still think will get at one new Pokémon rep regardless of which generation it is from.

I didn't see it in either the direct or his character trailer. Even if it is different they might have chosen to wait till later to show it for whatever reason. They also haven't shown how different Robin's final smash is either despite showing Chrom as playable now. There are also other character's final smash that we don't know how much has changed like Peach and Yoshi as well.

Anyone else think whatever game gets represented on the New Heroes banner on August 21 will hint as who the next Legendary Hero will be?

As of now we have Castle Siege, Arena Ferox and Colosseum for stages; Killing Edge for items and Lyn as an Assist Trophy. Not sure if we will get more but I personally would like one more Assist Trophy if possible.

I'm pretty sure Captain Falcon being based on that beta fighters is all but confirmed already because what else could they pull from for his moveset but thanks for reminding about that.

@Light Strategist I don't see why Captain Falcon needs to leave just because F Zero has no new games or because only Smash makes him relevant. Going by your logic wouldn't that mean characters like the Earthbound duo, Game and Watch, Duck Hunt, Ice Climbers and ROB need to leave as well because they no longer get new games?

@DMan64 True, IS now has a better idea about the popularity of some of their older characters and I could see Elibe's Lords, Ike and possibly Eirika/Ephraim showing up in a new spinoff but at the same time I still hear too many complaints (mostly over on the Fire Emblem Heroes topic on Serenesforest) that Awakening and Fates have too many units in Heroes and have too many banners dedicated to them and whatnot (though that just might be them complaining about alts in general). Yeah, it is mostly the vocal minority being loud on the internet but it is still annoying to hear at times.

Basically repeating myself since I said something similar on another forum but Chrom might be the last FE character we get for Smash Ultimate and I would be okay with that. Though I guess it is still possible to get a new unique newcomer from FE though they if it's the base roster they would likely pick someone from Fates like Azura or even Anna (hey look two non-sword user options) since that was the most recent title released when Ultimate's roster was decided or if it through DLC it is going to be someone from Three Houses guaranteed and none of them seem to be heavily sword based either. Sorry, but Echoes and Heroes came too late plus most newcomer picks for Ultimate so far seemed to be based heavily on what people wanted back in 2015 and through the voting ballot. As for a FE fighting game I would be down for that though I fear we would get another FE Warriors situation and everyone would shun the game for too many 'Awakening/Fates' representation.

After thinking about it for awhile I'm starting to wonder if it will be possible to set characters like F!Corrin/Robin and Koopalings for Bowser Jr. as defaults on the character selection screen since it is apparently possible set echoes fighters eg. Daisy over Peach as default because I would like to not have to scroll over to F!Corrin every time I want to pick that character to play as.

Which is kind of sad since they have so many franchises that could be repped in Smash through Playable characters/Assist Trophies/etc. like Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger, Bravely Default, and Nier (I think is Square but is too recent anyways) but I think I remember hearing it was difficult for even Sakurai to get Cloud into smash. I don't know, I'm still glad that Final Fantasy fans at least gets Cloud but I think when Konami of all companies is more open to collaborate for a big name game like Smash Bros I feel like you are doing something wrong.

Definitely not Terra since she is more of a mage that holds a sword for show, not sure what Noctis' playstyle is but at this point I'm pretty sure only Final Fantasy 7 is representing Final Fantasy as a whole. Only one game for representation (out of 15 main games) and 2 songs from the series is kind of pathetic once you look at what the other third parties are offering. And people complain about too many Awakening characters in Smash. At least Fire Emblem has Marth, Ike and Roy to represent other games in its series. Sorry if this is turning into a rant.

Was planning on trying out Marth but since Chrom is now in I will be using him instead. Might try out one of the Belmonts as well, probably Richter since he is voiced by David Vincent.

I honestly think Chrom might be the only new FE rep we get this time outside of DLC. Morgan has a good chance of showing up in Robin's final smash though assuming Pair Up is still their final smash and not something like Expiration from summoning Grima's head. Also, Celica deserves better than being a Robin echo because the two of them use completely different magic spells and her swordplay is more elegant and graceful than Robin's.

Smash Ultimate roster was decided late 2015/early 2016 wasn't it? Going by that logic Fates would still be the most recent title at the time because Echoes was still in development plus Sakurai couldn't guess how popular Alm and Celica would later become. It makes sense to go with Chrom because Awakening is still kind of a recent title for Fire Emblem, he is a popular Lord and you know the direct itself said that Chrom was a popular request from fans. Honestly, I would have liked Celica too but I'm afraid her game came too late and if Chrom wasn't going to be the next Fire Emblem rep the next logical option would have been Azura probably (which I also would have been okay with). Anyways, I stand by my reasoning that if Pokémon can have 6 reps from Gen 1 then I don't see the problem with Fire Emblem having 3 reps from Awakening. Also, not trying to attack or offend anyone here but people from Sereneforest seriously confuse me sometimes when they get into a hissy fit when a popular character from any franchise gets repped for anything. I honestly don't know where all the hate comes from. It is almost like it is a crime for a the most recognizable or popular game from a franchise to have more reps than other games from its franchise (assuming it is kept in moderation).

So much good stuff got revealed in this direct. Castlevania is in Smash now and even though I only played Aria of Sorrow I'm glad to see the franchise here. I will probably try out one of the Belmonts and hopefully one of them will have a color alt based on Soma Cruz. Chrom finally gets his chance (suck it Kid Icarus) and I will definitely be playing as him. Totally called Zero being an assist trophy and I'm surprised seeing Shovel Knight here as one as well but being an assist trophy was probably Shovel Knight's best chance of showing up in Smash at all. Also, finally we have Fire Emblem items in Smash now. We got Killing Edge (yay, another sword) but at least it is something. Now can we please have the Javelin and/or Hand Axe as well?

So I guess this is Performing Arts 2.0 banner for 2018 huh. Did Azura teach Ryoma and Xander how to dance? All of these units looks great, especially would like Xander and Elincia though I might end up skipping this banner due to spending most of my orbs getting FH!Robin and YT!Olivia and trying (and failing) to get both L!Robin and Maribelle. The colorless orbs haven't been kind to me as of late so I want to avoid pulling them if possible. I also guess this might be the last seasonal banner until Halloween (hopefully).

@mampfoid Honestly I don't really like skills like svalinn shield since they are so situational and I prefer using skills that either boosts my unit's offensive or walling capabilities. Premium skills like Fierce Stance and Bold Fighter are pretty much out of my reach too and only come once in a blue moon since I never intentionally go fishing for skills like those but man I can only dream of using that Steady Breath/Bold Fighter/Quick Riposte combo. I might just go ahead and give him Bracing Stance since it is pretty much a self Ward effect on the enemy phrase plus his attack will become monstrous if I make him stand next to an attack buffing unit like Delthea.

Pulled FH!Robin earlier today and I was wondering what would be a good A-slot skill for him. I guess Fury is always a good option but I also have a spare B!Ike laying around in the barrack and I am planning to give his Steady Breath to F!Corrin if FH!Robin really doesn't need it. I also just realized I have a spare YT!Olivia to fodder Bracing Stance since merging +2 points on a dancer almost seems like a waste but I haven't really heard if Bracing Stance is a good skill or not. Thoughts anyone?

Today must be my lucky day! Spent 90 orbs on fighter banner and I finally got a version of Grima (the male version) and is even +res/-spd (probably one of his better natures). I'll have to thank @silveraura25 for the good fortunes he gave me yesterday. Other 5 stars I got was another M!Grima (+HP/-Def as usual for me), Effie (also got two of her) and B!Ike (I wonder who wants Steady Breath from him). Now I just need F!Grima in order to complete my non-loli dragon emblem team.

Wow, that must have stunk if you still had lances to use.
