  1. If I wanted to sacrifice movement, I would much rather go Great Knight instead.
  2. Ah, I knew about the death thing of course. Had no idea it affects anything paralogue-wise. Cheers.
  3. Is there a list of these restrictions anywhere? The website says nothing about this.
  4. Camella can stay Malig or reclass to WLord. Both choices have their advantages and disadvantages; reclassing sensibly between the two can be seen as the key to making the most out of Camilla at any given stage of the playthrough. Leo has been proved to work best as a Dark Knight, solving his speed issues via a Felicia pair-up. Reclassing him into Strategist, while helping him with speed a little, hurts his defence too much; however, Dark Falcon can be considered because of the advantages flight offers in spite of being statistically similar to Strategist.
  5. Now that we know the English name for every class (I think), the Link Arena resource topic has been updated with Fates class max stats. Feel free to suggest any other useful information you want to see reflected in the thread.
  6. Ah, so it's as easy as leaving Felicia out of combat. Thanks for the input.
  7. A Javelin forge allows Jakob to keep OHKOing misc enemies at range for a surprisingly long time.
  8. Does Corrin face any risk of death this way? How far can Felicia be on turn 3?
  9. No, but he trivialises the difficulty of its map design.
  10. +1 mov, +2 str, +3 spd, shuriken access for 1-2 range. Keep building up shuriken rank and then reclass to Master Ninja when it's time to learn Kunaifaire. Dread Fighter and Dark Falcon make almost every shitty unit useful in Fates (besides the really late joiners in Revelation).
  11. In Hoshido, Izana is the one with the sufficient magic score to halve the final bosses' HP. Just keep an Arms Scroll for him and recruit him late. Sakura isn't a good magic user anywhere because C lances takes stupidly long to reach. I found the investment not worthwhile both times I tried it. As an Onmyogi, she's usable I suppose, but why not train somebody who can build tome rank from jointime? Priestess just sucks, even on Revelation where you get the Shining Bow and the 1-ranged one. Felicia is a glass cannon without enough offence to be used as one. I've enjoyed her as a Dark Falcon on my recentest run though.
  12. Well, it doesn't on Revelation! Remember that Hayato damages foes of a higher level much harder and that experience gain is ridiculously fast when you're underlevelled. I'd argue he's more worthy of training than somebody like Setsuna since he has 1-2 range and shortly gets Horse Spirit! Orochi is probably still better on Birthright, but he can be used unless we want the lowest turns possible or something.
  13. What is a good Oni Savage supposed to do? Hayato makes the only good Oni Chieftain.
  14. Rinkah is awesome if you reclass her into Dread Fighter and keep her there until she learns Aggressor, reclassing back to Master Ninja afterwards. Without a Dread Scroll, she's merely a pair up bot.
  15. Yeah, the anti-beast one makes Kaze pretty desirable and he has like no competition because who uses Ninja Laslow? I know Jakob's a thing though, but I've found it hard to come up with a reason why I don't want him reclassed (if he's the 1st; if he's the 2nd I don't use him at all).
  16. I bet Niles won't even connect an attack against the boss. He's at WTD and he tends to whiff even WTA attacks for me. Corrin's reclass should always wait until L10. Ninja, with its sometimes underwhelming attack before kunai rank is accumulated, really appreciates when a proc kicks in, be it Lethality, Dragon Fang or a crit. I don't like Ninja in Conquest though. The daggers don't give +2 speed and some of the good ones like Killer Shuriken (forget the English name) and Barb Shuriken (? the armourslaying one) are missing.
  17. Cav's Elbow Room is a fantastic skill in-game! The characters who want a reclass the most on all routes are definitely MU and Jakob.
  18. Has anybody been able to come up with a reliable strat? Probably on Hard Mode since Lunatic is a bit too much with enemies only the kunai user can counter. So far the closest I've come to achieving this was leaving an Oni Savage with 1 HP after turn 3 enemy phase, which is about as close to success as it gets. It seems that MU needs to be frail to be targeted over Gunter (and this lets him OHKO the myrm and deal more damage to the other enemies on EP). If the MU is too bulky (+hp/def asset with a +def proc in the previous chapter), the enemies will opt to attack Gunter instead. Of course, Felicia will lose plenty of turns that Jakob could've saved as well as deprive you of a fantastic Seth-level Jeigan character, but you can't do the same playthrough over and over again.
  19. Do-you-even-liftFE. The new Effie is hilarious but I wish it were a joke separate from the game somehow...
  20. The best way to avoid being frozen is to separate your characters. They can then pair up next turn, with the one who's not frozen pressing on in whichever direction is needed. If you can visit the last village just before killing the boss, you won't have to fight any of the reinforcements at all.
  21. You don't have to battle Flora at all. The objective is "kill boss" so nobody is forcing you to rout the map. In Conquest, you will generally make your life much harder if you pose additional unnecessary objectives for yourself.
