  1. Actually you're incapable of starting the game without it, but ok.
  2. 4/10 The King is not a bad unit, you see. His mobility is better than Pawns (only slightly), he can use his A Support with them to create an almost perfect defense (and help them promote in end game/trap the enemy king), and castling him may help you bring a Rook out of the corner sooner. The only problem is, he's very vulnerable, using him along with other pieces may bring him into risk, and he needs babying so the opponent won't Check him for an extra free turn (or worse, Checkmate and finish the game, and then it doesn't matter if you have better pieces than your opponent. You're screwed just because of one single, practically useless piece), so using him on early and mid-game is highly unadvised.
  3. Most: Zephiel (seriously, WHY DIDN'T I LET HIM DIE ON THAT CHAPTER AND NEVER TOUCH FE7 AGAIN? That should be his ending) Least: Marth, maybe because "character development" was a word that didn't exist in the dictionary back then.
  4. If you're having clerics taking hits, then you're doing it wrong. There is no mage that can take two or more hits in this game. Uh... It's easy to have 15 uses to get it from E to D. Unless you want to end the chapter as quick as possible, if you take your time to heal the damaged units by the end of the chapter (after the boss is killed), her ranks will go up pretty quickly. Staff abusing is very easy too.
  5. Because her HP is pathetic, her def is bad, and the only good thing about her as Cavalier is strenght and speed? She's useful as a Falcoknight, I admit, but these come too late.
  6. Yeah, I'm not going to read an entire sign-ups topic to find out later, at the last page, that sign-ups are closed. After all, the first post says there are 5 spots left.
  7. I don't remember any mage with high HP, to be honest. 35 HP is pretty standard. Also, who would let a Sage/Bishop in range of melee units? They are made to stay AWAY from engaging directly on most FEs (unless it's Soren, Levin, Sety, Arthur and etc. who kill anything that stands on their path). Discarding Yumina, Malliesia is the only other option for Cleric (unless you reclass Arran, which I find a waste since he's pretty helpful being a General on C1, Dracoknight/Sniper on C2 and so on). From my current playthrough, I think Cecile has better stats than Malliesia in the end. Getting C staff rank isn't that difficult and not necessary from the start because you only have access to Mend and Heal at that point. Oh right, I almost forgot: I promoted my Cecil around Level 13. That's why her mag sucks so much.
  8. I like to use Cecile as a Cleric -> Sage too, she gets really great level ups from time to time (especially speed). Even so, yours is absurdly blessed (or mine is absurdly cursed by the RNG goddess). I have a Level 20/1 Sage Cecile and her mag is still 8, and speed is 17. Am I doing something wrong? >:
  9. Best: Eternal Bond (it's a character theme) Worst Lyn's theme.
  10. Knights are awesome on defending pieces or threatening other pieces/choking points without getting into risks. They're great for securing and setting captures too, and their ability to jump over pieces just helps them leave their starting position sooner. Also, when used well, they troll Bishops hard. I'll give them 7/10, without bias because I actually hate them.
  11. Yeah, the videos are absurdly slow,. It's a problem even for me, who used to play FE9 on incredibly slow speeds because I couldn't run Dolphin well. I don't mind having no sound, though. I'd rather watch videos separated on Parts, but it's nothing to complain over anyway.
  12. So are mages. It's easy to use archers and work on a defensive formation, especially one that might ORKO virtually everything, like Shinon. Oh wait, unless you mean OUR mounted units completely overshadow Shinon. Then I can understand this, in an efficiency matter.
  13. It also kinda depends on your life. You can't find the meaning of life that soon, it's perfectly normal. Yeah, because of the comfort zone. So basically, experiences lead to finding a meaning (or not).
  14. I don't think IS was stupid by letting Shinon appear 10 chapters later. If he stayed in the team with these stats, he'd be a Game Breaker from the beginning. As you said, his growths are better than Ike's. Using him on a long term would let him be one of the best units on the team, probably only rivalled by Ike himself. And -that- would be a stupid idea. I wish he'd appear sooner, though. 10 chapters is a lot. Maybe 6 chapters would be enough.
  15. Rooks are hindered by the pieces that start on their way in the beginning, but they sure are efficient on mid and late game. They are extremely efficient on setting captures and supporting units like Bishops, the other Rook, and even the Queen. They are predictable when alone and efficient when working with another piece. I'm not an expert on Chess, so I don't expect my opinion to be reliable, but I'll give a 8/10 anyway, mostly because of bias.
  16. Ozohe Castle sure brings great memories back. I miss the old times when I first played Mother 3. >:
  17. I'm disappointed there was only one mention to Sonic Generations. Seriously, that game is too awesome.
  18. I just did H2 with a FemaleMage!MU and she's doing great, and I'm a pretty average FE player. Also, for recommended units, it really depends of who you want to use this time. Sometimes I swap Caeda for Catria, sometimes I use Navarre/Ogma... H1 isn't that hard actually, Luke and Ryan will most likely be killing stuff in one round by the time you finish the prologue, if they're trained.
  19. It's impossible to just choose one, seriously. - Castlevania (any, they all have great music, although Aria of Sorrow, Symphony of the Night and that-game-with-Richter-which-name-I-forgot have the best ones imo) - Sonic the Hedgehog (all the games have great music, Sonic (1), Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Adventure 1&2 (GET A LOAD OF THIS), Unleashed, Colors, Generations...) - Golden Sun: The Lost Age - Fire Emblem (PoR, Genealogy of the Holy War and RD come into mind. FE12 has some great music too) - The classic Megamen (they all have great music, except maybe 5 and 6) - Megaman X (X2, X3, X4, X5, X6... even X8 comes into mind. The first game is also good, but doesn't impress me much) - Megaman Zero, all of them. - Streets of Rage (the first game) - Cave Story (oh yes, yes) - Mother 2 and 3 - Chrono Trigger - Final Fantasy VI I think I may be forgetting something here... Yeah, too bad all of them are in japanese and I can't play them. The GBA ones are in english but I'm too stupid to learn the mechanics and now screw up without tutorials/a guide or a manual.

I think Records of Agarest War looks pretty decent, but I haven't been able to do anything but watch some videos. Maybe you'll like it, if you're into RPGs.
  21. Best: Cellica (I think that's her name) Worst: Creepydoll!Yune. I have to agree.
  22. I hope it's not a re-release of Mother (1) in english, it will be terrible like FE11. I wouldn't mind a remake of the trilogy with better graphics and all for the 3DS, though. Re-releasing Mother 3 in english for the 3DS/Wii would also be great.
  23. Okay, I take everything I said back. This movie was probably the best one I've seen this year (not counting those outside the cines that I watched recently - The Godfather has a special place in my heart). The Gollum part is amazing. The beginning by itself is amazing, they surely know how to immerse the viewer into the setting. It is light-hearted and I think there's much more to show (well, obviously), but overall I have great expectations for the trilogy.
