  1. A technicality that might help straighten this out, somehow. My roleblock ability is not supposed to be used on the person whose ability I want to stop. It's a protective role; I block the non-lethal role abilities of those that target my target. So yes, I might be this game's equivalent of "doctor." But it would be a rather weak doctor role, since I can't stop deaths and Refa's roleblock can.
  2. I see... My initial assumption was that doctor would target either Fleur or myself N1, and would have a high chance of succeeding (as in, not being redirected nor blocked) because of how improbable it would be that the scum redirector(s) to correctly guess whom the doctor was. Not that this really tells us anything about the doctor or its possibility of existing, unfortunately.
  3. Wait, why would it be difficult for the doctor to get the right person? Wouldn't that require the doctor to be the target of a redirect? Mine is not one of the roles where I can self-target.
  4. Yes, that's right. According to Refa, he knows for certain that he wasn't roleblocked that night. I'm assuming this means that you'd be informed if you were blocked, and can say that I didn't receive any such notification.
  5. Be back in a few. Going to look up how redirection and hooking works, because I'm rather lost right now.
  6. Ugh, so confused now. Wait... assuming "hooker" = "follower," doesn't that mean that RD, Fleur and I were all hookers? Why do you say that? I think scum definitely would have NKed her, given how active and pro-town she was.
  7. It might also be possible that I was saved by doctor, but scum still decided to try and NK me because they didn't expect the doctor to believe I was town.
  8. Not going to vote yet. So to clarify, you think Wen might be scum claiming vig so that he won't ever be lynched? Refa's confirmed that I declared his night action correctly. I don't see why you don't believe my claim. As for my block being nonlethal, my guess is that it's to balance out the strength's of town's roleblockers, since there are so many of us.
  9. I've claimed what is apparently called a "Town Follower." I have a two-shot roleblock that doesn't block lethal actions, and a one-shot follow that I used on Refa during the last night phase. I wouldn't know. I would assume that this is balanced due to how some don't stop kills, though.
  10. Oh, okay. I see. Don't Fleur and RD's flips confirm that town does have some overlapped roles?
  11. Okay, so we know Refa didn't target you, since I only got a "roleblock" result.
  12. 1) I tracked you, Refa. Do you think it's advisable for me to state your action publicly now? 2) Yes, I agree.
  13. Provided the doctor protects me N1, I'm more than willing to present my findings on D2 (I intend to use my one-shot viewing ability) to try and vindicate myself and also bring in new information. If it's viable for me to ask this, whom should I look into, or should I at all? I'm uncertain as to how strong my role is.
  14. Are you saying I should voteswitch to myself? Or do you not believe my claim?
  15. Got no idea as to what we should be doing now. I'm assuming Refa is still there, as he asked RD to claim. Thoughts?
  16. Obviously I'm not going to live past N1 without the doctor's help, now. Can't be helped. Right now, I think RD and I should answer as many questions as possible so that our flips will benefit town.
  17. Alright, I'm going to go with my gut and assume Fleur is town. Many apologies to town if it turns out that she's not, and I'm doing something dumb. My EO role is "medic," on town. I have an ability that lets me roleblock any non-lethal abilities twice per game, at night. I have another ability that lets me track (?), letting me see someone else's action for that night, but not on whom. I can do this once per game only.
  18. RD, I want to know if you think it would be beneficial to town for me to claim now.
  19. After rereading Refa, I actually have to agree with you. My case on you was awful, and everyone except myself and Refa could apparently see this. Read some wikis and came to the conclusion that town almost always outnumber scum for balancing reasons. Why wasn't this a natural assumption for you as well? What I'm getting out of this post is that Refa just wanted Shin dead. When so many people were against my underdeveloped Shin case, he was the only one to support it, and solely through meta reasons. Everyone else maintains that you can't base a read off meta, but Refa called it "good reasoning" that I suspected Shin because of the disagreement with his past RVS tendencies. My suspicion against Kopfjager was also based on how he voted RD without much explanation, yet this part wasn't addressed in your post. Same with eclipse, inactivity was not the main premise of my suspicions. I've said this enough times that it seems that Refa's simply trying to find reasons to get on my wagon. Granted, my play so far clearly encourages doing so, but the reasons that Refa's brought up don't convince even me. It's possible I simply thought Refa to be town because of this "confirmation bias" as well, wrt my weak case on Shin. Suspicious of Refa now. Null read on everyone else for now. I've been trying to perceive things that were out of my ability to do, and wasting a lot of words on nothing. Figuring out what to think of SB takes priority for now.
  20. Going to ISO SB later on if I have time. At present, I don't quite understand the wagon behind him, though this is likely to change once I take another look. ##Unvote Don't want to contribute to a chance of eclipse's sub dying before they're able to say anything. Will probably be on for the last 1-2 hours before phase end.
  21. Invested this much already, may as well respond to bearclaw again. Going to attempt using spoiler tags this time so that I don't throw another wall at those who aren't concerned.
  22. Hate to disappoint, but it's actually just because I'm new and bad at mafia. I'm far from skilled enough to hedge my bets on WIFOM in such a way, though of course even that statement can be interpreted as a WIFOM provocation.
