I would argue she's far worse than Niles against Haitaka. She just exactly gets doubled, she faces WTD and Haitaka's resistance isn't that much lower that she's going to be dealing tons of damage to him. Which is weird, because in the mod's thread there's a video that shows a different scene. I don't get it, did I not install the mod properly? That doesn't really make sense, other scenes are changed and the mod version shows up in the main menu. Did the modder just remove that scene in one of the mod's versions? I don't get it. Oh, well, I suppose it's one of the less dumb Garon scenes, so it's fine. I mean, it's still a Garon scene, so it's incredibly dumb, but less so than the rest I guess. I'm removing the mod and skipping the story from here on. The Gay Fates supports are all that matters anyway.
