Spoiler The point of the ending is Sunny coming to terms with his demons and accepting that he needs to be honest and move on. That's the conclusion to Sunny's arc. Spoiler The song that plays in the bad ending had long been associated with Omori during its development. It was the theme of the first trailer. Putting it on the bad ending was intended as a nod to long time fans who hoped it'd play at some point. Also, I guess it's comedic if taken at face value, but ultimately, this is a boy who is having one last delusion before he splatters. Kind of an unfunny joke. I will say though, I do agree with you here. I find the "normal" endings much, much more effective. Especially the one where you go to bed with the knife and the next morning you just see Sunny's corpse with the knife sticking out of his belly. Brutal. I saw his name written as Zane in guides before, so I assumed it was either a mistake or it would be revealed later that his real name was Zane and the writer had no regard for spoilers. When your friend recommends a fanfic to you I also hear the tendency for text to be larger than normal in some situations was originally a glitch during the localization process.
