Honestly at this point i am hoping Fie has good strength/ATS growth, or i'm gonna be screwed later on. Ofc i don't have any clue what her crafts are yet, so she could be set there.

She just gets the Crafts that the NPC who is playable for one sidequest has.

Yes.

Doesn't he only have one craft? They have to get the same amount as they gain throughout the game.

So sure she could have that as one, but i can live with that, at least if she has something good!

Oh. That's not as funny anymore.

I am really glad the good ending

Spoiler

Lef it open wether they forgave him or not

Although the games does hint towards it, i would've been massively pissed off if it was confirmed

Thoughts later

Colossal waste of time?

Well....

Spoiler

It helps to set up Sunny's character, as you explore his inner thoughts, his deluded fantasies and watch him desperately try to run from himself while everything slowly crumbles down around him. You get to know him from inside his own mind, essentially. Plus, there's plenty of foreshadowing in those sections.

So I guess it's about as much of a waste of time as the first half of Steins;Gate and the entirety of Trails FC.

It's not the important part.

Spoiler

The point of the ending is Sunny coming to terms with his demons and accepting that he needs to be honest and move on. That's the conclusion to Sunny's arc. A scene of Hero having an emotional meltdown would have added nothing and been completely unnecessary.

I can only hope they'll be at least a little positive.

The comedic suicide ending if there was a legit creepy one?

Spoiler

The song that plays in the bad ending had long been associated with Omori during its development. It was the theme of the first trailer. Putting it on the bad ending was intended as a nod to long time fans who hoped it'd play at some point.

Also, I guess it's comedic if taken at face value, but ultimately, this is a boy who is having one last delusion before he splatters. Kind of an unfunny joke.

I will say though, I do agree with you here. I find the "normal" endings much, much more effective. Especially the one where you go to bed with the knife and the next morning you just see Sunny's corpse with the knife sticking out of his belly. Brutal.

Didn't really need all the gameplay, dungeon'ing and everything.

It's something i didn't post much, but i found myself enjoying rl sections much more, and kinda was in a "not again" mood while dream spacing

Yeah i got it. The game was more than a little on the nose on that xD

Well, those are definitely the best parts of the game. No arguments there.

As for the rest... Well, I dunno what to tell you. You think Omori's gameplay is generic and insufferable, I thought Trails gameplay was generic and insufferable. Shit happens, opinions and stuff.

Yup. That was effective

At least we can agree on that much.

Most unbelievable part of the game: Sunny's parents not doing anything for 4 years

I am pretty sure even 90s murica had therapists 😛

Yeah that can be said about many games, but not many tske place irl

I dunno, man. Parents being shitty is not an unrealistic concept in the slightest. There's way too many of them out there.

No, the “point” of dream space was that you get to see how Sunny is coping and how his mind’s doing.

Saaaaame.

All the gameplay and dungeons are there for people who enjoy the type of gameplay, I’m just not one of those people.

Yesterday I learned that Zin's name was originally translated as Zane in FC and SC, but it was changed to Zin in via update in 2017. I saw his name written as Zane in guides before, so I assumed it was either a mistake or it would be revealed later that his real name was Zane and the writer had no regard for spoilers.

When your friend recommends a fanfic to you

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

I also hear the tendency for text to be larger than normal in some situations was originally a glitch during the localization process. Thankfully this was taken advantage of in the final game, like so:

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false

This is something of an inside joke, since during development it was actually "legit" that was inexplicably inflated.

Mueller is a cool guy, anyone who acts as the straight man to Olivier's antics can never be boring.

Even someone who hates JRPGs should recognize that Trails in the Sky has more depth than literally Earthbound.

Y’know, like me.
