This whole "Buying steeds" thing reminds me of Dynasty Warriors, where you can ride horses and other things such as brown bears and pandas after you buy them in in-game shops.
And of course this veritable monstrosity:

The only other difference between horses is their health, anyway. This early on you'll probably have to get by with some thin steeds. They have no special attributes and go down in like four hits tops, but hey. They're cheap.

Ooh, that reminds me, enemies will having things like Broahdhead arrows. When it says "Kills horses" it means it. Regardless of horse, it will die in one hit. (If you take 0 damage from it, the horse won't die, though.)

Old horses gave SPD +2

Yeh, that's a special effect-horses without effects only have bigger HP bars compared to cheaper variants.

Ahhhh friggin' hell... Sorry, it's getting late. I really should go and get some sleep, if I'm starting to forget how to read...

Valkyrie Profile is great.

So I've heard. That one theme is pretty kickass, at any rate.

I wish you could ride pandas in Berwick Saga.

Sadly, they're fairly useless in Dynasty Warriors. They just look fun. Other steeds let you still use your weapons, but bears and pandas instead attack with their claws when you press the attack button. Sadly, that attack has pathetically short range compared to most of the weapon attacks.
I also forgot about elephants... and mammoths.

And how you can have a sabertooth tiger accompany you...
DW is weird sometimes. XD

Sleep tight! Don't let the garbage bags sacrifice you!

Ward-exclusive mounts that grant +5 to beard.

Thing is, the way this game combat works something like that is very annoying.
Here's the way it works: If one is hit, combat ends. So if i attacked someone and i hit him, that's it. If i was faster, i could strike again....
If he didn't hit me, which automatically ends the combat.

Skills can change this of course

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.

Well, in his defense, I will say that his equipment makes him look worse than he really is. He has the worst beginning out of all the starting roster, but when he starts to get some good bows and arrows, he gets way better.

See, this is why i hate 1RN

To be honest, I've had this happen to me in games with True Hit. Soldier on, is all I can say. These things happen.

True, especially missing the 75 part. Although getting hit by 25 is very rare with 2RN.

I am not blaming that on the game, dw. I played Thracia and there were many many moments like this xD

You can send those back to the Empire for extra bucks. Still, some free gear is never bad.

some more arrows never hurt. When in doubt i can just sell them xD

I just wish i crippled the Battle saw Bandit instead, because that axe is real good

I love Vantage and Deathmatch, and to a lesser degree Desperation

Vantage is the best in this game. Adel is far from being a great unit, but that skill alone makes him a joy to use.
