But i apologise nonetheless!

Oh, well that's a relief, then!

The remake sucks actually.

Been a while since I played TTYD, and... I'll admit this is confusing.

On one hand, the Toad kid can walk a bit away from the Save Block eastward, to the point he could've just been offscreen from the clip.

On the other hand, there should also be an Adult Toad near the Save Block, while the Koopa shouldn't be there.

So it means one of two things. One: At some point after Chapter 1 the Petalburg NPC's get moved around and I'm just not remembering. Or two: They indeed changed the NPC composition of Petalburg for the remake for... some reason. So better hope the kid only got moved instead of outright removed.

Actually, yes, the clip ends barely showing where the Koopa that greets you welcome should be there, but he seems to not be there either.

Moved NPC's might be the case, actually. The trailer also shows a Toad in the Petalburg shop that shouldn't be there either.

I saw that. Five bucks into the pun box, if you please.

Fine. Yet puns are the dark chocolate of life, bitter with just a little sweetness and an intoxicating quality.

Be wary of anyone who takes you to a casino for the first date.

He's been relocated to the dungeon. He liked Nowi a bit too much.

Well, money or lack thereof. But they don't look at the love.

The NPCs generally hang out in the same area; unless, of course, you're talking about General White.

Well, there's some changes to dialogue, here and there. Let's hope that they didn't axe one of the best fourth wall jokes in the game

Pretty sure it underperformed unfortunately.

I know he moves out. The game has plenty of those, haha. General White, Dupree, the Traveling Sisters, etc.

Well, in the Japanese script he doesn't talk about Fire Emblem, actually.

It would be funny to suddenly find him in the Pit of 100 Trials.

Ubisoft claimed it underperformed.

BotW doesn't have a whole lot of side content anyways imo. It's why to me it's a game you really only play once.

it's also "very empty" for the lack of a better term

You can see on the bottom which options lead to the death of the characters symoblised by "dead", haha.

generally i like these kind of plots

I heard Kuro 2 does it very badly tho

Okay, time to do the Salerno Academy. The first of the Hard mode only dungeons. They all have certain kind of gimmicks and puzzles to them beyond just platforming. Most importantly, however, is the fact they contain Flame Gems. These are needed to progress through this game's Seraphic Gate. Yeah, even the postgame requires you to play Hard Mode to fully explore it.

Anyway, the gimmick of Salerno Academy is that colored flowered vines block certain paths. At certain points of the dungeon there's "colored scents" that let you pass through the corresponding vines... but the scent only lasts after crossing enough dungeon rooms. There's also acid to pick up that destroy the vines outright... but will regrow, again, after passing a certain number of rooms. Plus you can only carry a single use of acid at the time which is also at a set point to pickup.

So let's go...

And like hey, it makes thematic sense. You know, Breath of the Wild as opposed to Tears of the Kingdom, which is obviously much more filled in (including with actually good side quests).

But yeah, BotW really put all it's cards in the e exploration, for better and worse. It's why the second playthrough of it had me not activating any towers.

I heard Kuro 2 fumbles the third act specifically. Like it seems to be:

Act 1 and 2 (and anything in between: 👍

Act 3: 👎

I'll let you know when I get that far! The early portion was decent though. I liked their approach to the mysteries actually.

I heard people who hated CS4 say this game is worse and i was like Yikes.

They could be wrong, but eh, after many thought Kuro 1 was kinda a "come back" (even if doubt that), the thoughts about Kuro 2 seem overwhelmingly negative

yes
Doesn't make it fun tho. Early game especially was pretty rough (until you reach Zora's domain)

i don't think anything ever will be worse than that lol

Aka seeing this and fumbling OnK ending

Okay, done with the dungeon. Now, this Chapter's Cave of Oblivion... it's the version with no items whatsoever. On the flip side, the enemies are on par with the chapter, so it can be a grinding run. I already have Jun and Nanami ready for transfer, so I'll use the rest of my periods to train up Lawfer and Jelanda.

True, but I had to keep my expectations very low to begin with. Xd

Okay, I have six periods left, so three dungeon visits. I think I'll do them at Nethov Swamp. Due to the vine gimmicks, Salerno Academy is a bit of a hassle to go through. But I'll put a stop for now. May resume later.
