Rules (adapted from Integrity's)

- Ratings are for Normal Mode.

- Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted. If somebody else said what you want to already, quote them explicitly.

+/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is encouraged, but no more. If you exercise your bias privileges, please do so explicitly.

- Votes are made out of 10. You cannot rate a unit above 10 or below 0.

- The rating topic will be updated whenever I feel like it, but I will try to allow at least 24 hours for each topic. They will generally be updated at around noon EST.

- A character being inferior relative to another character does not explicitly reduce their rating.

- Characters do not get credit for recruiting others or allowing access to side quests.

- Assume that the character in question is being recruited.

- Characters do not get credit for bringing items.

- I reserve the right to ignore any votes which are not well-supported.

- You may allow a character to use scrolls (and adjust their rating appropriately) so long as it is reasonable (you may debate what constitutes "reasonable" if you feel people may disagree with you). You cannot arbitrarily increase a unit's score by arguing that they may exclusively use half a dozen scrolls for themself. In general, scrolls will probably not add more than +1 to a character's overall rating.

- Warp skipping has an impact on scores in so far as "Safy has an high base staff rank". Nanna would score lower than Safy because of her lower rank, but no chapter is explicitly said to be skipped. You can't get Warp and then suddenly say every character after doesn't exist or requires turns to recruit. Something could be said of Xavier, or Conomore/Amalda who are in an escape chapter where Leaf starts next to the escape point.

Rather middle of the road guy. Being a prepromote with decent stats makes him usable as filler in quite a few chapters, and his weapon ranks are quite nice: A Swords in particular. Pretty much a solid, but not exceptional unit. 5.5/10

Also, as of now, Robert is officially the worst unit in the game. Will his terribleness be bested? Probably, because Shanam is still out there.

Fred just screams average prepromoted filler. Being a Paladin, he starts with really nice weapon ranks, having an A in Swords and a quite respectable C+10 in Lances sitting on a 9 movement horse. His other stats aren't too special, since the units you trained from scratch might rival him already there, but at least he doesn't need a Knight Proof and he does have fairly good growths in a few areas, especially that nice Strength which covers up his low PCC. He does start at a higher level than most, so he might gain experience at a fairly slow rate while others catch up on him more quickly.

That's pretty much it, really. He doesn't have any skills to make him especially noteworthy and he only recieves a support bonus from Olwen, who is sometimes not recruited or killed in favor of Eyrios. I suppose he can share the duty of using the heavier, high ranked lances with Carrion and Glade, but they're generally both more useful than him, Carrion being a diamond in the rough while Glade already has a maxed lance rank, offers a leadership star for everyone and a few supports.

Average stats and good weapon ranks on good mobility.

5.5/10

Thunder Sword using h4xer. Great at getting everything but luck and not needing the Nova Scroll to make him good. As he can cap Str upon average making him good to use throughout the game. But his lack of supports hurts him along with his bad luck making him a so-so dodger. Someone to use if you don't feel like raising a calvary unit from scratch. He also should get the Elite Manual to help his EXP formula a little better. That's about it!

Never reaches dizzying heights, having no skills or unique utility but solid bases, good ranks, decent growths and being a Paladin make him an alright second-stringer. Even his name is ordinary yet dependable.

5+1 bias for a sweet Magic Sword bringing = 6/10

Decent pre-promote with great Ranks and decent growths, and gives you a nice sword. Nothing special but a good filler if you need the extra help.
