It just occured to me that I horribly misread something and I'm now less against the Clarinets lynch. Gdi.

@Junko, its not so much about the number of games as much as Clarinets still getting lynched early a lot (see: all of the votes here) and I figured I could see scumnix going for something like that because I didn't see the point in why he'd do it as town.

@Manix, I'm pretty sure Clarinets has been mafia once (99% sure he's been SK too but that was a multifaction game) but I can't remember the game.

Manix's response doesn't mean a lot for me, even if the initial read wasn't that strong.

I'm less bothered with Makaze now he explained some shit more in depth so I can actually get a read there.

##Vote: SB

Going by this post I can't even tell why Manix's reaction test is scummy to SB; what makes it more malicious than any other attempt at a reaction test? How is it difficult to see town!Manix doing the same thing? SB, how are you reading Clarinets himself? I agree with Via that SB focusing on this and nothing else is scummy, and with SB going on to post a strawman seemingly refuting his own case (???) it reminds me of scum contriving an original suspicion to fill a content quota without getting too involved in any arguments.

I disliked it because its the kind of reaction test I never see ending well for the guy getting checked regardless of alignment so I figured it was kind of iffy that townManix would do something like that. Wrt my read, at the time, I was reading him as town but now I'm kind of conflicted but still think that he would be more likely to shy away or try and get help from a buddy as scum.

And this isn't focusing I posted about it once until Junko said he didn't understand what the fuck.

Don't have time to post more until way later. Mafia sucks. I think Marth's vote is weird at a glance but don't have time to look at it properly.

Read the thread. Then re-read the thread. It was kind of hard not to faceplant into my keyboard.

The cases on Clarinets aren't bad and I don't see scum intent behind them; thing is I can't see him being this confident as first-time NOC scum. Not keen on a lynch, reasons being part meta and part tone.

Do you have any suspicions outside of Clarinets, Manix? You mentioned agreeing with Prims's suspicions on Makaze but I can't remember reading anything else.

I can agree with SB's fixation on Manix being off and I'm not used to seeing him pursue like that (in RVS no less). His explanation doesn't instill me with confidence, either: you were considering his 'reaction' test malicious/a scheme to make Clarinets look bad and town-reading him at the same time?

Outside of SB, I find Marth's enthusiasm/framing to be sounding increasingly forced. It's more of an increasing tingle than an outright scumread atm but worth noting.

I'll be voting when I get back from work tomorrow more than likely; but leaning SB.

@liveheart how come you aren't voting makaze or I if you at least have a gut read on one of us?

ive skimmed hardbody and without shame

another game with terrible town reads being thrown around for no reason that only serves to deceive the masses

im smellin scum between makaze and commie. it might be a good idea to lynch em back to back to ensure a scum lynch in the first two days. ill be here tomorrow so will be able to take a closer look to see if this is worth following thru but in the meantime##vote sb

Please explain.

just got back. long day and i am exhausted

not gonna lie, i don't particularly want to trawl through an offsite game for stuff at this time, so consider earlier points about newscum slightly less than before. having also said that, one game does not make an experienced scum player (i should know, i'm still terrible). i'll reevaulate this case when im less ded

strongly concerned about the large amount of support for the sb wagon, while not being hugely opposed to it myself. someone asked me somewhere about my opinions, and i don't have many, nor am i really going to make a huge push since it's d1 (see last game)

but, as noted i'm not strongly opposed to the sb lynch at this time of skimming, also not the happiest with makaze on tone but that may just be due to differing playstyles

i'm trying to think about other players but aside from yolo's usual playstyle (which i'm also not a huge fan of, but whatevs) nothing comes strongly to mind

Not really feeling my Ars Nova buddying case anymore, it's likely a joke

well although it wasn't directly said, SB said Manix's initial question towards you might be a reaction test based on how it was worded.

I see.

This seems like it's a logical choice. Ignore me for basically zero reason. I didn't even say anything bad. I really don't like how you claimed and I really don't believe your role honestly. I highly doubt there would be a role that literally stops all nonkilling actions night one passively for zero reason. I mean sure it could happen but I don't really believe it. I also really see no point in claiming it anyway.

That isn't what he's doing. He's ignoring you about his claim, presumably because he knows he can't really defend himself over it until after it's used.

also a scumpost
i've seen some OMGUS'es in my time (aka last game, from memory) and this is up there with those. why jump on ars over me when i functionally parroted marf? seems like a push onto easy targets to me

Ars literally quoted either your or Marth's reasoning and gave nothing else other than a vote.

More on suspecting people who clear me: This town read doesn't seem to make sense and could be said about anyone. More than anything else, this post gives me mafia vibes because there isn't enough warrant to think I'm town from Clarinet's perspective.

I liked the questions you posted, they're relevant and productive.

Also that votal's throwin' me off hasn't Manix voted? And who's the third guy on me? Or is the tally wrong?

It's not a mod error ;D

Thanks.

Manix is right about clarinets and about last game: freyjadour pulled off the same stuff in the last game and I (well I was an unofficial hydra with refa, so he) gave him a pass for being newbtown who always posts in a scummy way. But then he flipped scum, so I don't want to give clarinets pass for that. Also the Nova vote is bad because he could've voted Manix or I for the same reason, so why pick Nova?

Hey hey hey, I may have reads the entire game disagrees with, but I'm not basically pushing for people not to vote until we're sure who scum is during Day One.

OK so I'm bothered by Shinori not voting anyone and making a big deal about via's claim but it isn't as scummy as the ones mentioned above.

This is my thoughts on Shinori as well.

Makes sense. How has your view on that post changed now that you know it wasn't a reaction test?

I can agree with SB's fixation on Manix being off and I'm not used to seeing him pursue like that (in RVS no less). His explanation doesn't instill me with confidence, either: you were considering his 'reaction' test malicious/a scheme to make Clarinets look bad and town-reading him at the same time?

I think he meant that he was reading Manix as Town, and then got suspicious over the 'reaction test'.

I will ISO SB next.

Automatic scumpost until further notice.

Manix, why go about your suspicion that way? If the answer is 'for reactions', why was this way more productive than letting Clarinets know your read on him and respond to it? The suspicion itself is fine, but the way you went about it looks more like you're trying to put Clarinets in a bad spot than anything else.

##Vote: Manix

Don't think Nova's townslip holds because BBM is a cohost. Why would you vote Marth for his suspicion on Clarinets before actually reading it?

This is SB's first case on Manix, and it is reasonable to me. He also talks about Ars Nova, so he's trying to do more than just case Manix.

It's a pointless question that doesn't mean anything and even as town earlygame you're a lot more likely to react poorly to a reaction test imo regardless of alignment, especially if you're a kind of new player. I just don't see why Manix would do it this way unless he's trying to stir up shit he can use later. This is what a reaction test does, yeah, but it just feels malicious in the way it was done.

Yeah a lot of SB's content before his recent wallpost is about Manix, but at the time it was understandable since he was restating the case for Junko.

And this isn't focusing I posted about it once until Junko said he didn't understand what the fuck.

But his wallpost is mostly about Manix as well. He had two other lines in this post that described things other than Manix, one about him being more suspicious of me and another about Makaze. I feel like he's using the Manix read to make him look more productive without really doing anything much.

aside from last game, i hadn't played in 10 months. pretty sure i haven't played with you in a standard game on sf

@clarinets: as a sidenote, can you try and space out the quotes and stuff so it isn't quite so clumped together? if you can't, no big deal, but it's a bit easier to parse that way

Pretty sure you have, but whatever.

Take my word for it that this same "What is Makaze doing" black hole of town energy happens in every game I'm in.

Alright, I'm reading Manix as town too. That leaves:

1. Clarinets

2. Marth

3. Yoloswag

4. Faerie Knight

7. SB

9. Crysta

12. Ars Nova

As possibles.

Where is Faerie btw? Paging Faerie Knight. Quoting so he gets a notice.

Confirmed.

Ok but in all seriousness. Capricious flirting aside, Mak's rubbing me the wrong way thus far. Mostly just... seems like he's half-assing it. I've NEVER known him to do that as town, he loves being town. But he plays more consistently here so I may be overridden on that.

I know that sounds like a complete 180 and is risky to say but like I said I was mostly ribbing before

This actually seems safer than continuing to clear me when I'm under the microscope. A surprisingly conservative for a "reckless sumbitch".

I have an honest question that I cannot answer from inference and haven't the patience to verify by combing the Mafia section soooo who's my biggest townreadddd...

PRIMS

Given his behavior, is Marth the kinda guy who's gutsy enough to throw on a vote for his scumbud early on but too knock-knee'd to follow through 'til deadline

If not then I have a choice to make

Take my word for it that this same "What is Makaze doing" black hole of town energy happens in every game I'm in.

It's refreshing to not be the center of the townado for once

Yes but knowing you're in this game and smart enough to pick up on that does it not cyclically become a reckless move :3c

this is dumb.

if you want to help yourself you could follow up on those rereads you need to do and have concrete reads

like, how are you reading me now that you said you can get a read off me

but ignore the last part, i think you have more to gain by "looking properly":

I think Marth's vote is weird at a glance but don't have time to look at it properly.
