  1. Nice cover! I can tell I'm already going to love the music this game will have! You have a nice tenor (?) voice.
  2. I hamburger U hamburger happy hamburger
  3. Nope. It's Fire Emblem Heroes. Not Nintendo Heroes. Cosplay banner could be cute, but I don't need to see (as much as I love them) Link and Zelda in FEH. Not when there's hundreds of FE characters still not in the game. Also, I doubt IS would ever do it because they don't have the rights to those characters and if they were given permission, would have split some of the profits or (most likely) pay a hefty sum to use such characters. And they probably don't want to split profits or pay a big sum for one banner. Hiring artists is one thing, getting permission to use a copyrighted character is another.
  4. Oh yeah it is. It's one of my favorites, but it's pretty evident it was made in the 90s. It may be years before it's made though, although I can see it coming out within the next 5 years. Also to clarify, the parallel between Sigurd vs Arvis and Seliph vs Julius is still there, but takes a back seat. There's probably some more overarching themes I may have missed, but the parallels between Parent + Child and Reunification are the most important though, imo.
  5. Hooray Leen and Aless! Or Lene and Ares! Whatever I'm so happy! First Heroes, now this. Thanks for translating!
  6. Julius inherited his mother's "fluff hair" so he would just look like evil boy Deidre. For differences this could make: Creates a contrast between 1st Generation and 2nd Generation. Sigurd and Deidre meet and fall in love. Their children, who greatly resemble their parent, meet and fight to the death. Removes the parallel between Sigurd vs. Arvis and Seliph vs. Julius. Julius may have also inherited Major Naga blood. For Julia, there's not much of a difference. Makes it less obvious she's Deidre's daughter. Implies she may have a bigger portion of Fala blood. At the very least, she looks more like a typical Velthomer noble. Because she resembles Veltomer more, there's a much more obvious theme of reunification. The Houses Chalphy and Velthomer are now joined in fraternity, ending their rivalry. Reunification is a big theme for FE4, with conflict serving as a barrier to peace. Making a more obvious relationship between the 2 most powerful houses will signify this. Of course this is done anyways, but Julia's appearance will make it more obvious. TL;DR: makes the themes of the game more obvious and replaces a parallel with a contrast.
  7. Oh I see. I guess it can work then. I wonder how it will be received by most people though. lol at blink code. For this avatar, IF they are one, I hope they stay their supportive role.
  8. A teacher that doesn't talk... LOL I'm ok with them being silent if they are an avatar though. Reminds me of the Persona protagonist. Although I do wonder how supports will work with them though? Perhaps it'd be like SoV's base conversations?
  9. Yeah as long as they make sure to keep Edelgard present within the story and not forget her position as a princess of a country I think it'll be fine. The only way where she may lose relevance where it's OK IMO would be to be able to pick the lord you serve, creating 3 similar, but different stories. Similar to how Eliwood and Hector got their own paths, but this time add a Lyn path.
  10. I'm really hoping too but I don't trust IS' track record. At least their last two games (Azura and Celica) didn't seem to lose that much relevance, so there is hope.
  11. IIRC swords have always been pricy to make. There aren't many (if any) throwing swords because that would be a whole lot of money to just be thrown and potentially not be able to pick back up. The closest thing to it are throwing knives. Also, more so than other weapons, swords are named and believed to have been forged with a special power in mind, and this happens over many different cultures. For example, Excalibur or the Muramasa blades. Throwing it like it's disposable can be seen as disrespectful to the sword, all who may have wielded it before you, and the bladesmith who forged it. It would be cool to have some sort of ranged sword weapon though. I would like the return of magic swords.
  12. That's a good guess to it being in the same world. However, it still wouldn't make much sense for the dragon girl to be Tiki. This is just my opinion, the sword doesn't have much resemblance to the Falchion. It looks like some sort of whip sword and it juts out from the sides, making it a rather unique looking blade. This could be an example of the developers of IS simply making a reference.
  13. Alright thanks guys. I may have to look into his gameplay.
  14. Classes I'm 99% will return Cavaliers Myrmidons Mercenaries Archers Cleric Mage Wyvern Rider Pegasus Knight I'm sure you get the picture. Classes/niches I think may be altered Tactician Refresher Dark Mages Troubadour Villager (Could be changed to Student?) I wonder what new ones they'll make, if any.
  15. 1.) Lol- I mean it's no surprise that the dragon girl is reminiscent of Tiki, but what would she be doing on a completely different continent at the time? Unless Fodlan is established to be in the same world as Archanea, this idea just seems funny to me. Plus, the giveaway that's it's not Tiki is her attire- that's not her color palette and the headpiece is wayyy too different. 2.) I will agree it is quite an assumption assume some sort of romance system is back. However, in his defense, every FE has romance in it. In some cases, it's more prevalent than others, but romance has always been a thing in FE. However, he is more likely alluding to the "modern" romance system, which I will agree can be a bit of a stretch at this point mainly because it is unclear whether Blythe is a MU or not (I think so). 3.) I'm not quite sure how deep his love for the series is (if there's any love), but he probably had to have been pumping analyses after analyses due to all of the new info that has come in from E3. He may have been just burnt out at the point of making that video. Did he play them because he had to for reviews or was it because he wanted to? Then again, I'm trying not to sound like a gatekeeper and this could've easily been a case where we was just simply burnt out due to all of the content he had to release lately. But tbh, if people wanted really in-depth analyses of FE related content, GameXplain wouldn't be the first I would go to anyways. There's a spew of small FE channels that just focus on FE anyways.
  16. I think it would be like FE7: Edelgard, like Lyn, will be an early game lord. Since it seems like we start at an academy as a teacher, she'll be our introduction into the game. After shit starts going down, there will be more of a focus on the other 2 protagonists; I wouldn't be surprised if there's a Dimitri path and a Claude path. I think Edelgard will be present the whole game will be on both paths no matter which you pick, but she won't be the star in either route. The Church will be characterized in a way to make them seem like their original intentions weren't bad, but obviously they have strayed from that. Meanwhile, here's some hopes that I have for the story and characters: Edelgard, although book smart, is not street smart. She will develop dramatically as the war goes on because she finally gets more experience in the matters of the world. Dimitri will be similar to Leo. Although he's the most serious of the 3, his biggest flaw is that he has a hard time communicating off the battlefield. Claude is carefree and flirty disposition, and he's great at talking with people. However, he's stressed out about ruling and the responsibilities that come with it. He may try to run away from it emotionally, but eventually learns that it is something that only he can do. For other characters, I hope it follows Elibe more in the sense of giving commoners a national image, sort to speak. Sacaens, Lycians, Eturians, and Illians, for example, all were shown to have differing characteristics. Sacaens had darker hair colors and distinctive patterned clothing that made it easy to know a character was from Sacae. In contrast, Eturians were often fair-haired, and wore more typically European attire. What I want from this game is to show these differences. Maybe the majority of those from Leicester have darker skin tones than those from other countries. Maybe those from Fergus are more warlike or fair-haired. Also, if my split path idea is correct, it could be interesting to see more route dependent characters. Maybe a dancer for Claude and a bard for Dimitri, for example. Or a sword master for Claude and a hero for Dimitri?
  17. I would love for Reposition or some more Stance Skills. Can be nice to have a weaker character get a kill than switch them out of danger.
  18. I don't know what most of these crests mean, BUT THEY'RE TO BLAME. Interestingly enough, Edelgard doesn't seem crazy about them but they may have royal/noble times, as it seems like all 3 houses have their own crest. I wonder if they're merely family symbols or artifacts held by the families. Who knows. My guess is that it's going to be Blythe/MU's house. They'll have this "Fallen From Grace" storyline, giving them the noble ranking to be comfortable with royalty but the humblness to get along with those of the lower class.
  19. 1.) Yes, it reminded me a lot of Tellius. 2.) My main problem with the water level rising is that it seemed more islands popped up? And Albino to the West? 3.) The key word is distant, but I may be applying too much IRL knowledge into a fantasy world. It would have to take millions of years of tectonic plates colliding and moving to alter landmasses to that magnitude. And since the people are still in medieval time or early Renaissance, then they're having the Archanean curse of perpetually being in a medieval state for a long time or a natural disaster occurred that nearly wiped out humanity and it took a long time for them to bounce back. I have a feeling I'm reading too much into this. Then again, Archanea was drastically different by Awakening so it's still a good guess. This being the only other console FE other than Tellius may be another indicator.
  20. Ohhhhh. That makes sense. I'm surprised they haven't finished more 3D models, but it seems like the designs were made, so that's good. So Mercedes, Moustache, and The Emo Guy possibly playable characters still in the works? Cool. There could be new classes, or classes that are dramatically changed. Given how it seems Edelgard can use magic, perhaps most characters or many classes have some sort of spell list? Then again, Edelgard has a unique class so I'm going to take that idea with a grain of salt. I'm going to ignore the stats for now, because I suspect that the footage comes from the tutorial, so if Mercedes is playable, she'll probably have better stats. Or, they'll buff her stats for the final version. Or she's just a scrub. And if the academy thing is true, I can see the class called "student", which is similar to villager or trainee classes.
  21. Hmmm... this is a pretty good analysis, and an interesting way to analyze- linking the quotes and the clips shown. I haven't seen others do that with this trailer. I think your story predictions to be good guesses.
  22. Druid is an actual class already, so I guess adding Dandy just means I'm a stylish Druid.
  23. Oh yeahhhh. Although I didn't think Micaiah was that bad in Part 1. Her problem was everything past Part 1. Yeah who am I kidding. Would be funny that we get a female lord who can use axes but is totally bad at using them.
  24. It's interesting to note how a character's popularity seems to change depending on which site you're on. Claude is the most popular here but Edelgard is the most popular on Reddit. Poor Dimitri. Also, is anyone concerned about the artist's style? Kurahana Chinatsu has really good linework and technique of course, but her body of work is primarily pretty boys. Although it seems like she altered her for this game, I'm really looking forward to see if she'll draw bulkier characters. Although some of her male characters have wide shoulders, they're not anywhere close to the bulkiness of Valbar or Tauroneo. I'm also interested in how she'll draw female characters, but if she can draw a pretty boy, she can most likely draw a pretty girl.
  25. I liked Vampire Emblem's idea for the Fire Emblem: a sundial. The name makes sense.
