How is that Edelgard owns Seiros' Sword if you go against her, while Rhea/Seiros uses it if you side with Edelgard? Do markets have whole stocks of this sword? Does the game somehow explain it? I haven't played Golden Deer yet so I don't know if they explain it there, but I honestly doubt it

i'd prefer something like mark from FE7, who's pretty much simply you giving orders to lyn's/eliwood's/hector's army, and nothing else quite similar to a pokemon trainer giving orders to his/her team, in fact

i would say byleth is more avatar than both robin, kris and corrin combined yes s/he's a major plot character, just like robin and corrin, but s/he's also you, in a sense you decide what s/he should say during supports and normal conversation, you decide what path s/he should take and so on except for being actually relevant for the story (which imo doesn't allow the player to feel fully "merge" with the avatar), s/he reminds me a lot of pokemon trainers, who are silent because they're meant to simply be a device through which players can act in the pokemon world

my opinions: -No batallions, and consequentially no gambits -No enemies occupying more than 1 space (ashera with her barrier is ok, beasts are not ok, they're just incredibly boring) -No legendary weapons for everyone: they're legendary, they're not something everyone should use so carelessly -No weapon ranking-depending class change: not being able to promote mercedes into a holy knight with 70% chance while managing to make wyvern lord hilda at 30% is just stupid and unnecessarily rng -No turn-reversing mechanic implemented into the story: not everything must be contestualized, many things can stay simply as tools for the player, such as mila's turnwheel which is just there, it's not part of the plot and no one (with a working brain) complained about alm not using it when the old man dies i'm ok with pretty much everything else except for children and avatars, but probably the latter is now impossible to remove from the series

it is useless to me, since A LOT of students dislike/hate crests (dimitri, lysithea, mercedes, sylvain, marianne and so on) yet edelgard's so dumb and closed in her own hatred and ideals that she doesn't notice this, when she could've created an allience of people who wanted to stop the crest system instead but this is no place for this discussion, there's already a thread for that

1) i like them a lot too, writing-wise i just hate edelgard because she feels like she has every right to do whatever she wants, but this is not the right piace to debate this 2) she has every reason to act as a mother (and even something more) with byleth i won't say anything more, since you're playing the church route right now, but just know this

basically different points of view those who like edelgard say rhea is evil, and vice versa 1) no, she did it only with byleth the guys at the monastery are people who've been saved by rhea for different reasons, and to do this she used her own blood, just like she did with jeralt that's why they can turn into white dragons 2) no sothis's and byleth's spirits became one, but sothis didn't replace byleth's personality, or s/he would've acted as an old lady with everyone byleth ends up pretty much becoming a new seiros, but with the goddess' spirit and powers inside, not sothis 2.0

i spent those resources on Edelgard and Hubert i couldn't care less about losing them, not because i don't like their characters, but simply because accepting to take part in her pretty much useless war felt like the wrong thing to do for me

the game needs at least one class of every tier for every branch for example: thief -> assassin -> evolution of assassin myrmidon -> mercenary -> hero -> dread fighter and NO, great knight is NOT an evolution for the paladin class: golden knight would be great knight should be AN ALTERNATIVE to either gold knight and marshall (possible master version of the fortress knight line)

back on topic every artwork is absolutely amazing this time, but yeah kita remains my favorite fe artist (damn you old lady) and yeah eliwood's lance is good, but not amazing: legendary marth's been around since like a year, and beast units are not that common in competitive modes, and IntSys hasn't created generic beast enemies so eliwood's not that useful in pve either, but being a dragon/beast killer on a horse is a nice nieche nevertheless

just like every foreign language with a different writing system should be learned you start by reading and copying letters/ideograms/whatever until you can immediately remember all of them, and then you start writing sentences with them to practice even more and make them part of your daily activities i usually did this during classes so no wonder i suck at maths and physics

as i already said elsewhere, i don't exactly love branching paths, because they give me the feeling that making the player feel like god is prioritized, while the writing is somewhat left behind, because the latter must change depending on what the former decides, and this results in the writing being inconsistent (to me), and i don't like this i prefer already established worlds, with its already established story, which develops through already established characters i play games to be inspired by compelling stories, not to influence them: i already have my real life for that this said, i'm really enjoying 3H, but yeah, i'd like IntSys to stop with these branching paths and avatars most of all

after combat, lysithea gets double exp for weapon ranks, mounts and class exp knowledge gem is sort of an equippable version of mastermind, but i don't know if they stack, should you have both mastermind and a knowledge gem

i like how 3H is, and some features would be cool if added to future games as well (correct answers to increase bonds, exploration, etc.), but i don't want every FE title from now on to be Three Houses 2.0 my best scenario is that the next non-remake Fire Emblem is as original and """fresh""" as 3H, but in a different way also PLEASE IntSys, make a 2D fire emblem, just like the gba ones, but in HD: it would be GORGEOUS
