  1. The desktop is about 3 or 4 years old and my laptop is getting close to a year old now.
  2. My predictions(mostly from Nintendo) Luigi's Mansion 3 news. New Donkey Kong Country game. Pokemon Sword and Shield teases. Fire Emblem: Three Houses stuff. Proper Animal Crossing reveal. New game from Monolithsoft. New Bayonetta 3 teaser. Persona ports. New look at Astral Chain. Link's Awakening trailer. Brand new third party exclusive. Every new indie game under the sun. These are just my safe bets, not really any hopes or dream games.
  3. I'm no expert on Russia, but I know a few things. One of my favorite stories is how the Russian Vikings became Christians when they first came to Istanbul and they saw the golden mosaics inside the Hagia Sophia and converted on the spot because they were overwhelmed by it's great beauty. It's probably a dramatized account of events, but it's still a fun story.
  4. Xenoblade is definitely the one I've spent the most time with, but to be completely honest I've been dipping my toes in a lot of JRPG series rather than dedicating my self to a just handful of them, but you could also say that's because I'm invested in a lot of genres of games because I like experimenting and trying new things for lots unique experiences.
  5. The memories of playing this game with my brother are all flooding back to me listening to this game's music, good times. 8/10 Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-: Holy Orders III
  6. Platinum Games has proven time and time again that they're a studio that can standout from the crowd with some of the best action games this generation has to offer, if any studio should start self publishing it's Platinum. Their name slapped onto a project has become a selling point for a lot of games recently so there's definitely a built in audience that will support a Platinum original IP, there's really no reason for them not to at least try.
  7. I'm open to playing any of them first, I'll most likely make my final decision in the moment rather than locking myself into a path based on pre-release predictions. But if I had to choose one now I'd say the Blue Lions, not for any particular reason, I'm just gravitating towards them right now.
  8. Does not compute. Systems failing to comprehend newly acquired information. Brain shutting down. Reboot process will be completed in 8 years.
  9. Xenoblade Warriors is an easy pick, but mostly because there's been some discussion around it before and it makes a lot of sense. A Fire Emblem fighting game made by Arc System Works would be pretty awesome as well.
  10. I've fallen behind due to finals myself, what a small world. But really what can you do once you've got 3 exams all in one day? Not a whole lot I can tell you that much.
  11. I have a feeling it's going to do well for itself. Given the franchise's current popularity it'll most definitely turn a profit for Nintendo, especially if they throw in cross-promotional material for games like Super Smash Bros. or Fire Emblem Heroes, if that happens you better believe it's gonna crack at least a million units.
  12. There's always a chance that this will change nothing, but I still think is good that they are at least trying to do something about the issue. Looking at porn is never okay, it doesn't matter how old you are or how mentally healthy you may be, porn is a disgusting industry that's making billions of dollars by striping people of their dignity to create a product and exploiting the addiction viewers develop when using it.
  13. I don't think this is the kind of error that'll ruin your Switch or anything like that, but it's still probably not worth trying until we get confirmation that the issue is fixed.
  14. Alright, I guess I can give you that one. I also rewatched the video and realized I didn't notice the part where they said they called the papal office the first time I saw it.
  15. Basing such a claim off a comedy television program seems shaky at best, they're just stretching technicalities for comedic effect. Of course the Pope is a Catholic, no amount of reality TV is going to change that, especially not a TV show you aren't meant to take very seriously. Religion can be a pretty delicate subject so I recommend you avoid basing your information on something made for entertainment and use sources written with the intention of being educational and/or informative. I hope this doesn't sound too harsh, but I put this forum under serious discussion for a reason, so please keep the discussion as professional as possible.
  16. As a devout Catholic I can testify that American education censures the influence of Catholicism and other major religions on world history for the sake of keeping things secular. I understand that public education has to be as neutral as possible on the subject of religion, but as a result we're feeding our children half-truths in the process. The French Revolution for instance wasn't just about the common folk rising up against a flawed monarchy, they also wanted to destroy the Catholic Church. Hundreds of priests were executed and thousands more had to flee the country for their lives, thousands of faithful parishioners who refused to denounce the church also suffered similar fates. That's just one of many examples of just how important the role of religion is in human history, but still gets glossed over in the history books 9 times out of 10 anyway. It makes no sense to me since you can still teach the historical influences of Christianity or Judaism or Islam or any other religion in an academic manner without promoting conversions.
  17. Let's not get irrational. I agree that if this was indeed arson the responsible party should be punished. However, if it's just an accident the death penalty would be going way too far. Forgiveness is always the first step on the road to healing.
  18. On a personal note I had just gotten out of Art History class when I heard the news and today we had just finished the Gothic Art unit which includes Notre Dame. The irony of those circumstances just makes it hurt even more.
  19. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47941794 Notre Dame is one of the most recognizable landmarks in Paris and it's currently in flames. This is a catastrophic loss on an artistic, cultural, historical, and religious scale. Firefighters are at the scene, but there's already been significant structural damage. I pray when it's over we can still salvage what's left.
  20. Xenoblade Chronicles X is my favorite game not only because of the huge open world and massive amounts of customization and experimentation that keep me coming back for more, but it's also the game that helped me realize that a game's quality should primarily be judged by it's gameplay before visuals or story since that is the only thing that separates games from other media like books of movies.
  21. *Get's upset because that snack was the only thing I've had since breakfast* *Forces the next poster to do my taxes.*
  22. *Melts off my face because I can't handle the true power of anime.* *Does the moonwalk and starts a dance off with the next poster.*
