I have several. Book of Naga, Mercurius, Ragnell, Alondite, Mani Katti and Parallel Falchion to name a few. No particular reason on most of them outside of design or visual effects.

Naga's Light (1/1): Teaches a skill that in gives the user's currently equipped weapon a dragon advantage and increased Hit and Might the when opponent is equipped with a Dark Tome/ Monster Weapon.

Yeah, I can see why you'd say that. Still, it was only a potential idea on how it could be done. Retiring the character's a nice touch. I suppose they could always just use a different character instead though. You know, this whole topic made me watch a 50 minute video comparing Snake's Codec Calls to Palutena's Guidance. And as I've started typing this response, I just thought that we could totally see Gray Fox as an assist trophy again! That'll certainly be more welcome than Nightmare or Skull Kid!

They could always import the originals from Brawl and have a few new characters regarding missing ones as well as calling back other cast members that are still alive. Then again, from my experiences with seeing voice recasts in Japanese, they tend to be pretty resourceful with how they go about it. Heck, they could just have the character cite his age and state that he's getting a bit too old for this which could be treated as an excuse for a voice change. On the other hand, I feel that using the all of the old conversations from Brawl would be a disservice given how much they seem to want fans to enjoy it, so I'm not sure how they'd go about it but wouldn't mind them changing a few that seem like they were made just for the time period like Mario's or anyone else's where he notes their appearance specifically. At any rate, I particularly enjoyed all of the conversations Snake had in Brawl so more overall would be amazing. Shoutouts to a few of my favourite lines: "Are you sure he's not a penguin?" "Mei Ling, Samus took her clothes off!" "By farting? Are you kidding me?" "Falcon Puuuunch!!" Anyway, I doubt they'd remove the stage's big feature that everyone's going to want to see back at least once, I mean they left in the dialogue for Lylat Cruise completely untouched in Smash Wii U I can see them modifying Shadow Moses and Palutena's Temple to incorporate the changes now, even though they ignored Palutena's Temple in Smash Wii U's DLC files... probably because it'd have costed more or something like that.

Another ranged weapon type ; new weapon triange.
Light Strategist replied to illegal knight's topic in General Fire Emblem
They worked rather well in Tellius operating outside of the triangle if you ask me. I do like how they were programmed in Fates to some degree but I think that Thieves and Assassins should be the only class types to utilize them. Save for perhaps some form of showman class that performs with them like a circus act might.- 3 replies

The best unique classes

I say Ike's. I feel that it helps show how he's grown as a person and reflects his combat prowess in the years since the Mad King's War. -
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Light Strategist replied to Sidereal Wraith's topic in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
That is an incredibly extreme assumption,. Gaiden and Echoes featured dungeon exploration more akin to Zelda games yet there's minimal criticism on their part for being different to the standard. In that respect it's the same here. They're trying new things so that the series doesn't get stale. People have criticized Pokémon for hardly changing (and also for changing...) so what happens if Fire Emblem falls into the pit of "same shit, different day"? -
I think you might find that I mentioned that at the start. You can actually find the information quite easily by finding the script of Future Past 1 or 2 and Morgan and Cynthia's Hot Spring Scramble conversation. http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/Hot-Spring_Scramble/Script At any rate, I have a theory of my own about why it's the case, but I'd need to dig it out first.

I can't stand how arrogant and cocky he is. Fine. He grows over the story, that's fair enough. I just wish that he could have a different victory animation to reflect his growth. He throws his sword into the air then chickens out of trying to catch it. Constantly put others at risk because of his own stubborn pride and has to be talked out of things by literally anyone else with any semblance of rational thought. He's far too eager to impress someone who isn't even there and it's just a massive bother.

The concept's great on its own. I don't see why you would need to use established characters when with a little help you could establish your own.
