  1. Other axe doods have like 0-1 AS in those early chapters. So his 4-5 AS is enough to double (and often one-round) them.
  2. FE10...! FE9, too, for the hp/def. Not so much for the melee counterattacks.
  3. Not really. Alan and Lance have tons more avoid (whereas Lowen is the one with more avoid in FE7), and even have more or equal def/hp than him for a good while due to supports+level, so they make better tanks than he does.
  4. Treck gets fairly high Defense. Treck has a bit less def (same base, 10% lower growth), much less avoid (fail supports/affinity), and is underleveled. And tons less res (25% lower growth. But higher promotion, making it more like a 20% lower growth). Lowen's tanking skillz are indeed much better.
  5. Half everyone's growths to make them on par with the crappy enemy units. Also lower bases by NewGrowth*(Level-1). Add 19---or maybe a bit less, like ~15---to promoted units' levels for that. "NewGrowth" just means the growth after being halved. Basically, lower bases to what they would be if that unit leveled up from 1 to their base level with halved growths.
  6. It takes up space. And for only 450g, which doesn't even matter at all on HM thanks to the silver card. Sell it.
  7. about ch 18-21, yeah On random mode, a 20/5 Brom's chance of having enough spd to double something with, say 11 spd, like a 19-20 Fighter, is about 94%. Gatrie's, on the other hand, is about 54% (and this is assuming Gatrie also gets the KW from lv 10 rather than lv 13). Brom's chance of having enough spd to double something with ~14 spd, like a lower leveled paladin or a 18-20 lance/axe/sword/bow knight is about 37% while Gatrie's is about 6%. Soldiers and halberdiers of the same levels run in the 11-13 range. Mage/sages and archer/snipers run about 13 spd. Brom's chance of having enough spd to double a 13-ASer is about 60%, while Gatrie's is about 15%. (info from http://fea.fewiki.net/ ... like this) This is a rather substantial difference. Don't try to say the spd difference doesn't matter. It very much does. And on fixed mode, the difference is even bigger. Brom's 18 spd doubles all those 14-12 spd doods with more or less a 100% chance, while Gatrie has a 0% chance to double any of them and may not even double the 11 spd ones (borderline 14-15 spd, and equipped weapons affect growths as well; like steel lances and javelins, for example, both reduce spd growth by 5)
  8. haha. You are misinformed. Guy is the opposite of bad.
  9. No. Batta is the winner of best brigand.
  10. No, it's actually highly unlikely that he won't have a str lead. A lv 10 Lyn just barely reaches Guy's base str. That means Guy would have to not gain any str at all in 7 levels to not have a lead (8% chance). It's probably more like 10%, though, or maybe even as high as 15%, maybe,,, since the chance of Lyn being RNG blessed and Guy at the same time being RNG screwed is probably slightly more than the chance of Guy being extremely RNG screwed. Either way, Guy is much more likely to have a str lead than to not have one. Then for as much chance there is for him to not have a str lead, there's just as much chance for his str lead to be twice as high. And again, even when RNG-screwed in str, Guy has massive crit (post-promotion, at least) he can rely on that Lyn does not have. Clear w1n for Guy.
  11. Of course. But saying "Averages please." and nothing else in response to a post that says "Averages aren't always going to happen" is pretty dumb.
  12. lol Swordsalmon Read the first 6 words of his post.
  13. Haha. Yes, let's pretend these things called "attack" and "hit" don't exist.
  14. Hm... true. Best hair is not the same as best hairstyle.
  15. Getting superlucky doesn't mean a character has good avoid. You can face 60% hit rates and dodge 10 times in a row. That doesn't mean that character has good avoid.
  16. That's a bit biased, don't you think? What if someone thinks Garret's hair style is the best? gonna say Mia for now until I remember who it was I thought had awesome hair
  17. Killer Axes >>>>>> Steel Axes, so no loss And Gonzales can't effectively use steel axes either. He's already packing only ~85 hit before enemy avoid and with hard mode bonuses with an iron axe. Using steel drops that by 15. 60 hit before enemy avoid? You're now looking at 40 hitrates.
  18. full of bullcrap, there Geese supports Echidna just the same as Gonzales does. Only he offers a better affinity. And he also supports Lalum, forming a support triangle with Echidna and Lalum.
  19. It's just a 10-turn difference. No difference in growth rate. Lalum is better, even route aside. Her supports give her much more avoid. And she has more of them and with better doods.
  20. Wrong game. All weapons give 1 to weapon exp in this game.
  21. not that slightly. 2-3 levels is a significant amount.
  22. Sitting at 20 matters on unranked, too, since it means you're not leveling when you could have been.
