I'm hoping now that I've trained more units to 40 or near 40 it won't be too difficult. Zephiel is one of my favourite characters and I voted for him on the poll, and I dig his art in Heroes, so I'm really looking forward to using him.

Pulled 3.5 times hoping for at least two of Alm, Lukas, and/or Clair.
I only got Lukas. At least I got Caeda, Roy, and Barst. A bunch of repeat trash too, which they should really do something about.
I also pulled Mamui who seems good, but I'm not too sure if I want to train him. Any advice?

I've thought about this and I have a hard time making up my mind on when exactly the next remake would even come out.
I don't really see a remake coming out on the Switch before a brand new entry, but I do think they'd save FE4 remake for the Switch. So if they decide FE4 is next then I expect it for 2020 at the earliest. Theoretically, FE6 could be remade for the 3DS if it released within the next two years, as it would be easier to remake and less risky since Roy means guaranteed sales, but the fate of the 3DS is unclear so I have no idea if that's realistic.

Would just like to point out it's possible for people to like both characters even if one is classic and one is new. So bashing either side does no one any good.
Been with Minerva through this event, but I like Camilla and not for her boobs. At this point it's to be expected that Awakening and Fates main characters will sweep over anyone else except possibly the Smash guys.

All of them. Seriously. Love the art direction and the character designs for this game.
Top guy and gal I guess would be Boey and Clair. Also picked Lukas, Gray, Mathilda, Tatiana, Saber, Dean, and Sonya, as well as the two lords.

If anything, I feel like this might've been one of the best ways they could've handled it... especially considering the Fates approach.
After reading the spoilers about what the chapter is about, I admit it does sound better than I imagined at first.
Still, I would've preferred something related to FE1/3 if we're going to Archanea. Though it may have been tough to tie it well without retconning stuff.

All of this is amazing. I feel like this is gonna be a great game after two personally underwhelming entries in the series. Makes me hopeful for FE Switch.

Well, with Grima it seems it was too much to hope this game would keep Awakening fanservice out. I hope it's at least worthwhile.

What I was kinda thinking based on what's in the game is that dark mages = red/blue and light mages = blue/green.
Future additions could go like:
-Micaiah (blue Lightning > Divine > Thani)
-L'Arachel (green Wind > Elwind > Ivaldi)
-Sephiran (blue Lightning > Divine > Creiddylad)
-Lyon (red Flux > Ruin > Naglfar)
-Pelleas (blue Worm > Luna > Balberith)
-Gharnef (blue Worm > Luna > Imhullu)
As for why Linde and Odin don't get the "light/dark" basic times, you could argue it's because Linde isn't technically a light mage, and dark mages in Fates are really just Nohrian mages without a major focus on dark magic. As for L'Arachel I kinda just gave her the wind tomes so Julia wouldn't be left alone.

Well I'm expecting PoR Ike to be the first added, with Ragnell. CYL Ike will probably follow and I feel it would be good to give him Urvan to differentiate this version of him, especially as I see RD Ike also having Ragnell if and when he is eventually added.
Not so sure on skills other than the ones you mentioned already.

Camilla is gonna sweep the competition. They should really stop putting in one mega popular character in these things.
I'll support Minerva at first I guess just to try and get her to the second round and then switch to Camilla.

I like it. It removes the random factor for skills triggering from past games but since there's an HP cost it's not easily abusable.

Banner with Panne, Yarne, Reyson (angel-ish for Easter idk), and Flora (bc flowers are spring).
Throw Fae in too why not.

Not a fan of this banner. I'd only be interested in Camilla because she's a flying mage, but ehhh. Those outfits are not appealing to me. And I'd risk wasting orbs on Chrom.

I expect Gaiden tbh. I would love a Tellius one but I have a feeling it's being saved for the next story update along with Jugdral.
If by chance it was Tellius month...

Celica and Boey for me. Just really cool and refreshing designs. Although I'm a fan of most of the new character art tbh. There's only a couple that I'm indifferent to, the rest are all awesome.
I voted for Berkut just because he seems potentially more interesting.

Just to be clear, if a unit inherits the first level of a skill, will they be able to learn the upgrades or do they have to inherit those separately?

I had issues with Awakening and Fates localizations being too memey and "modern colloquial" I guess you could say. But so far I do like what we've seen (and heard) of the script.
The videos are gorgeous. I'm really getting excited for this game.

Got Ninian after about 30 orbs, which I'm happy about.
But Jaffar is one of my favourites so I couldn't stop. I spent about 120-130 orbs in total and never got him... why you do dis, game.
I did however get Klein, Reindhart, Kagero, and Nowi all as 4* and Lachesis as 5*, none of whom I had pulled before, so it wasn't a total loss.

I got none of the focus units. Instead I got 30 units, mostly repeats, with the highlights being a 5* -Atk +Res Hector, and a 4* +Spd -Res Effie. Yay me.
I feel you. I spent about 120 orbs trying to get Jaffar and he never showed up.
Though at least I did get Ninian after 30ish orbs.

It's looking very good... can't wait to play it and see. It definitely looks like they're focusing on story, so hopefully no shenanigans this time and we actually get a well-crafted one...
