Acacia Sgt
What? What happened in America during all the action back in Europe? How who has a hand of the Spanish ex-territories then...? IGdood
What? What happened in America during all the action back in Europe? How who has a hand of the Spanish ex-territories then...? They really got kicked out from there too...? Man... There are some independent countries in control of the territories in the Americas...but it's mostly Britain, Native Americans, Pirates, Mexico, and Gran Columbia. I just hold some islands and a very profitable part of South America. In the Indian theater, everything is solely under the Mughal Empire. Rewjeo
I love how the island of Malta alone has been able to lead a far more successful crusade than all of Europe was able to. Integrity
They give the lesser Order soldiers a hard fucking time and a worthy opponent for the actual knights. Except for Nizam-I Cedit Light Infantry, who suck compared to Kurdish Hillmen. Seriously, why are Light Infantry so terrible compared to Irregulars in my eyes? IGdood
Except for Nizam-I Cedit Light Infantry, who suck compared to Kurdish Hillmen. Seriously, why are Light Infantry so terrible compared to Irregulars in my eyes? Aren't Kurdish Hillmen inferior in stats...? huh...? Previously, the Knights of St. John took Jerusalem. The Ottomans want it back. Let the holy war begin. Also, we are heavily outnumbered. Unfortunately, we can't put our cavalry to good use here. And the lads on the walls let loose with the wall cannons. Out of boredom I march the cavalry around. Oh and I left my artillery outside the walls to see if they can do something with the canister. Oh look, enemy Ottoman cavalry. Sorry arty, looks like you're dead meat. Well maybe not, as the Ottoman cavalry stop moving for some reason, and get shot And don't move long enough for my artillery to redeploy and shoot canister shot. I sense a glitch. Too bad I couldn't take out their general. Meanwhile the lads on the walls continue shooting at the passing soldiers below. For some reason Ottoman cavalry manage to get into the fort, and I have no fucking idea why the door was open. Assholes. Well the Termina Division can deal with this bunch. Some Spiky Gitz were involved also. Marksboyz in their lonely corner of a wall. Some of the Ottomans think they can shoot at the line infantry on the walls. Really? And a bunhc of Nizam Cedit I infantry pop out of nowhere and pwn my artillery crew. Good move. Meanwhile the Avon Gate Foot, with their numbers back to 200, open fire with pistol and cannon. And the ottomans climb the walls, and my ANGRY MARINES for some reason are getting pwned....and getting shot. Wtf? I'll let the regular generics deal with the wall climbers. Marines, retreat! Bucaneers ready to repel. Nevermind, let the line infantry do it. Nevermind x 2,....hey weren't these guys the ones who kicked Avon Ass the previous battle? REVENGE. Getting a bit crowded here. Bucanneers are WINNING, Charlie Sheen style. And my marines keep on dying for some reason, probably because somebody down there is sniping them from afar. I rush some militia outside to shoot at those people trying to get up the walls. Marines, gtfo and into the buildings! Militia, CHARGE Oh shit. Termina to the rescue! Avon Gate Foot love their thick, big sabers. I heard they call them CHOPPAS. Termina to the res--FUCK THAT ENEMY REINFORCEMENTS. OKay we fired our pistols kthxbai RUN My bad, militia. You will be replaced later anyways. I need more guns on the walls. So I'll tell the Light Dragoons to dismount. Then I noticed the enemy were shooting at the Marksboyz from an angle where they couldn't fire back from effectively. Time to shift positions. Dragoons opening fire with their increased range of 90 compared to everyone else's 70. Just keep on shooting. Some enemy cavalry make it in, and the Jaguar Squad shoot them down, although they lose a few Jaguars from being charged at. Avon aim their pistols straight, but their bullets manage to arc down. And manage to rout a hand mortar (aka grenade launcher people) by doing so. More enemies? Jeez, how many have we killed by now? Run, you fucks. Run. OHOHOHO Yeah I think what's happening now is that the routers regroup, try to assault again, and get beaten back. Some line infantry take it to the enemy below the walls....and are winning. IGdood
These 6 line infantry proceeded to whup the asses of all the Kurdish Hillmen. There were a few ottoman elite units who refused to run, yet also refused to attack. By the way, the battle had lasted about 40 minutes by now, much longer than any usual battle. Time to sally forth. You are surrounded. All your bayonets are belong to us. Light dragoons proceed to harass the enemy. Infantry engage. Ranged cavalry open fire and retreat. Mass cavalry charge, like their ancestors, the Knights Hospitaller, from the days of old. Rout you fuckers, you dogs, you PIGS! Glorious victory. That Colonial Line Infantry unit is AWESOME. Bucaneers are even MORE awesome. That's still a lot of enemies over there....
Integrity
I'll actually boot Empire here to take a quick look at my dear Kurds. Nizam-I Cedit Light Infantry: 90 Range 45 F.Acc 30 R.Skl 20 Ammo Kurdish Hillmen: 90 Range 50 F.Acc 25 R.Skl 20 Ammo I think it's the five extra Accuracy plus the "irregular" formation (allowing me to not use Light Infantry Behavior to get best results) that gives good old Kurds the edge. And for whatever it's worth, they're a point up on N-IC LI for all melee stats except Morale.

IGdood
Shitty 4 pic update. So basically nothing worthwhile is happening besides me fighting a back-and-forth tug of war with the Ottomans and Polish invasion forces....and Light Galley spamming. No I didn't take pics of those since they were getting really repetitive and you guys might be a bit jaded looking at the same screenshots over and over and over. But, the worthwhile pics are here. The Polish navy is back with a vengeance, with 4 heavy first rates and able to kick our collective asses. I have all ports set to producing light galley spams, which I will send en masse to the enemy fleets in an attempt that autoresolving naval battles can whittle down the enemy. Machined rifling! Now I can train some awesome troops. Cacciatori di Cavallo. Unimpressive range...but...check out that accuracy. it's 70. That's higher than anything I've seen. Cavalleria d'Ordine Cacciatori. Otherwise known as the Order's Snipers. Shit melee, but godly shooting skills.
Parrhesia
Lit. Cavalry Hunters. The Order's Cavalry Hunters in the case of the latter. oh god so many choices

Parrhesia
Uh, whichever one's on foot, yeah. I assume 'Cavellaria' means knights or something. I -know- Cavallo for a fact...anyway, yeah.
IGdood
Uh, whichever one's on foot, yeah. I assume 'Cavellaria' means knights or something. I -know- Cavallo for a fact...anyway, yeah. By order of the Grandmaster Skitarii, may these elite marksmen be ordained as the 72nd New Madesta Guttersnipers. Issued with the pinnacle of rifle technology, thrice-blessed and rune-inscribed, may their targets receive the pinpoint kiss of death. Issued with twice-anointed hats with the feathers of the blessed Maltese fowl, may their presence strike fear into the hearts of their enemies....if they can be found, that is. Surprisingly, the unit was not raised in Malta, but rather in Jerusalem itself, the holy city sacred to the Knights. 2 technologies and a trade agreement in exchange for a single island? Okay. I can conquer more islands. Okay, let's get rid of this Polish navy. All light galleys to the front. They'll be doing most of the dying today, if all goes well. FORWARD! Intimidation will lead the main fleet. Light Galley Captain: Uh...uh....ATTACK DAMMIT! GO GO GO DELIVER BROADSIDES Oh shit, oh shit, Intimidation is on fire. Stop reloading, stop moving, all crew put that flame out NOW. Fucking bomb ketch. She's gonna BLOW ! FUCK. Intimidation!? INTIMIDATION! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I moved the camera away from Intimidation because I could not bear to look at it. Indefatigable hurry the fuck up. Yes, that is Intimidation in flames and going down. So far I'm sort of depressed. White Base moves back, unable to find a good opportunity. Indefatigable slugs it out with 2 Heavy First Rates and assorted company. Rocket ship provides fire support. White Base continues to probe around. Persuasion moves in front of the head ship of the Polish line. Did I mention Indefatigable leveled up? It's like level 7 right now. (max level is 9) See that orange ring? You can prioritize targets using Alt-Right Click. That means that if there are multiple ships in your ship's cone of fire, then it will hit the ones marked with the orange ring. Well looks like those Heavy First Rates won't be joining my fleet anytime soon. They're all burning up and surrendered. My Rocket Ship explodes. Motherfucker what Last ship left. White Base wedges itself between these two ships....because the other one had finished firing. Well not really, since I have yet to research a single naval technology my ships will always be slower than the Polish ships.
IGdood
So uh, with General Spinelli gone, the game, in all its wisdom, assigned the Aesir Riders' Captain to be the leader of the current army. I move it out to Damascus, Syria after switching out Light Dragoons and Order Militia, who will stay behind and guard Jerusalem. I like it when I am outnumbered and defending. Bring it on, SUCKERS. Long line. GUTTASNIPAZ. And mounted shorter-ranged ultra-accurate dragoon cavalry...? Is there a word for this? Since the Ottomans seem to be heading in a bumrush for my center (and try to break through?) I turn my line into a bit of a U-shape, just so we can corral them and shoot them. Whoa where did you come ARGH FORM QUATTRO SQUARE THINGY First kills of the day, some random peasant cavalry. Keep moving forward! On the other end of the line, Jaguar Squad and the surrounding infantry fend off the cavalry with some more finesse. Hmm, Howitzers in the distance. Jaguar Squad, circle around the right flank and shoot them! Ottomans pounding us with their artillery.... Jaguar Squad are insanely fast....did I mention that? BOOM. The crewmen didn't drop until later. I forgot if they routed though. Sniping the snipers. Yup. Nope, turns out enemy howitzers didn't rout, and Jaguar Squad got charged at by some enemy cavalry. Didn't lose too many men, managed to retreat. Hey hey hey where do you think you're going? SAY HI TO THOSE HUGE ASS CUIRASSIER SWORDS, BITCHES. No losses, one-hit KO. Epic. And I have no idea how the Marksboyz lost so many men, but I ordered them to withdraw. The Guttersnipers were marching forward ( I make them switch between standard mode and light infantry mode because in standard mode they can actually regain stamina) when suddenly CAVALRY CHARGE. Except the cavalry charge was stopped point blank, so only 7 holy snipers were lost. Avon Gate Foot open fire Guttersnipers continue to rout unit after unit. Substituting for some infantry due to losses. Order Militia take out some tired Ottoman flanking infantry. bayonet charges never get old. Cavalry charges through the woods don't get old either. Ouch..get out of there Melon Cutterz! Well now we just need to clean up what's left of the Ottoman army. More enemy snipers spotted in the distance. Let the shooting commence! I'm in ur flank, sniping ur doods Hand mortars? Bah, perfect target. There's about 1.5 seconds time between a hand mortar grenade landing and exploding. I order my line infantry to dance. Heheheh. And charging forward elsewhere on the line. BOOM HEADSHOT. Victory? FORWARD TO VICTORY! Most of my losses were from their artillery, I believe. Oh, I lost Jerusalem. x-x BUT, a force is on the way to take it back. The Georgians rear their faces. Fuck 'em, I'm sieging Syria.

IGdood
When final exams are done, which is 6/8/2011, I believe? Not to mention, I'll try to buy the Ikko Ikki DLC for Shogun 2 Total War. Frickin Ikko-Ikki have huge ashigaru hordes, but no samurai. Well they have ronin to make up for their samurai......Archers got nerfed to hell though. Less damage, no more homing arrows..... Rewjeo
Wow, your finals last a long time. Mine were just a week. Archers in general got nerfed? That's too bad. From what I saw they didn't seem overpowered, so nerfing them seems sort of random and pointless.

And well there were a lot of complaints about archers being overpowered, especially when pure-archer armies can pretty much trump most of the other combinations when micromanaged well (Ahem, Chosokabe!). Plus....homing arrows really annoyed a lot of people. Edited June 2, 2011 by skitarii
Rewjeo
Well, I remember some people saying that they were overpowered, but a lot of people said that they were just fine from what I saw. By homing arrows do you mean the aiming in sieges?
