Have they even finished half of all the launch day Heroes yet? I am pretty sure they do not even have half the first year Heroes. Out of the popular waifus off the top of my head, Camilla and Tharja still have not gotten theirs yet.

40 of the original 87 summonable units do not have a Resplendent outfit yet. So yes, they've finished half of the launch units now.

Oh! Nice! We are getting there slowly! I think we have more Heroes than the total number of Pokémon for a while now. I feel we might surpass Digimon numbers before we finish giving Resplendents to all the launch Heroes.

According to the datamine, the next Forma Heroes are:

Spoiler

From Engage.

  • Female Alear
  • Alfred
  • Céline
  • Chloé

This is out first case of Rearmed Hero in a Hall of Forms. BUT! Just remember that Forma Heroes cannot be used as fodder source, so if you merge your current Alfred into this forma, all the fodder will be lost.

Also, I believe that since Alfred is on this event, Chloé should have access to Arcane Qiang as weapon option... but we will see.

Emblem Ike is a cancer. I'm so sick of him. Every single PvP mode is 0.01% away from being unplayable, for the life of me I cannot fathom what the heck they were thinking with this completely busted garbage.

Yeah, I just straight up had to use Nabata Igrene and Louise on my Arena team last week just to deal with any Emblem Ikes.

AoE Specials are more or less the only consistent way of dealing with him.

Or the age old method of combating power creep.

Replace "Dragonite" with "Emblem Ike."

I like letting dancers destroy things. I like letting children destroy things. Considering there's only one unit in the game where these two loves overlap, you'd think I would've fully built Young Azura a lot sooner, especially since even before being built she's been pivotal to some of my Abyssal clears.

Oh well, better late then never. Go fuck Nohr up, dear daughter.

fKBhSxQ.png

  • Build 1: Basic annoyer. Pokes an enemy and, win or lose, becomes a spastic warping Ploy-bot. Fury ensures she still has some means of warping even after a Flare heal, though she can switch to a different Special if she needs to dial it down. Fury 3 might be old as hell, but it makes this build stupidly fun.
  • Build 2: Astra/Glacies nuke that refreshes after every use, with a side of "screw your Damage Reduction". If she wants to go full Res-tank instead, Atk/Res Finish is in reserve along with Aether and Flare.
  • Build 3: AOE triple-tapper. In the event of follow-up denial, Mag. Null Follow is in her back pocket. Can also equip other nuke tomes like Gronnblade or Gronnvulture if Speed isn't needed.
  • Build 4: Pure support. The Dance seal is interchangeable, and Firestorm Dance 3 is in reserve. Can slip the Still Water seal back on if the enemies are too Res-heavy to Ploy. I'm usually averse to building units as pure support, but considering the damage Azura does despite not being intended for it, even I have to admit that this kind of backup for an actual point man is an intimidating thought.
  • Build 5: This was originally for the novelty of seeing Young Azura hit 80 visible Atk, but it came to my attention that some e-sports jerks can hit 60 Res naturally, so having the option to Ploy up to 61 Res is good. Subbing in Special Spiral 4 and getting some precharge from somewhere can even let her handle big jerks like Valentine's Lyon (two Flare procs in one combat, or just Blazing Wind, provided he isn't REALLY jacked up in Res to dodge the Ploy) and Emblem Ike (Blazing Wind-only, though hilariously even at max investment Azura overcomes the color disadvantage to lovetap him after the AOE, so he's dead meat).

This thread has been quite silent for a while, so lets recap what have been happening.

First, a new Resplendent has been announced, being Fallen Male Robin (aka Male Grima) with Múspell Attire, and in my opinion that art is so good! Same artist as Groom Male Robin, Kano Akira.

ulh9RV8.png

Then, we are also having the comeback of Rokkr Sieges during this Golden Week celebration. First Round against Loki and Spring Loki was already done, and now we are in Round 2 against Hel and Thorr. Honestly, Thorr's Worldbreaker is quite annoying. I recommend using Legendary Female Byleth's Drive Tempo to help against her.

Round 3 will be against:

Spoiler

Summer Laegjarn and Summer Thorr. Another Worldbreaker round, but this time on a ranged unit.

Today we also had the late April First video. It was... something.

We also got this song in the Concert Hall (The Musical Tree).

FInally, the Mythic Hero Loki data was released today. Her stats are:

Spoiler

Mythic Loki: 39-|47-|30-|16-|47+, 179 BST

4 Super banes and 1 Super Boon. Fancy!

Personally, I liked how we went from a Marth/Merric/Elice banner yesterday to today's banner which has an out of nowhere Rearmed Ophelia and Ascended Celica.

Also, I can't get over how ridiculously terrible base Merric is in that Bound Hero Battle and in general. The dude has an Atk/Spd of just 43/35 on Infernal difficulty. Compare that to Citrinne from the last BHB, who had 64/30 Atk/Spd on Infernal.

Is CYL usually when the new generation of BST starts? Something I've been thinking about is whether the newest generation units should be able to get Dragonflowers. They already get the latest BST so if they got their first round of Dragonflowers, doesn't that still put them one round of stats ahead of an older unit with max Dragonflowers?

Yes, CYL is where we get the next stat bump.

New units after the stat bump only get a boost to stats for the purposes of Arena scoring. The 5 Dragonflower level cap they get is matched by the fact that all older units also get their Dragonflower level cap increased by 5.

This month's update to Hall of Forms adds skills through Emblem Ike (Spring Special Heroes, the Ascended Merric and Attuned Caeda banner, and Emblem Ike). The most notable additions to the skill pool are:

  • Carrot Bow
  • Firestorm Boost 3
  • Close Bonus Doubler
  • Distant Bonus Doubler
  • S/D Near Trace 4
  • Seal Spd/Res 3
  • Laguz Friend 4
  • Spd/Res Crux

And some thoughts on builds. Slashed skills are roughly in order by how good I think they are, but only roughly. Use your own judgment based on the role you want the unit to play and what resources you have available:

Summer Lorenz:

Spoiler

His stats are still pretty bad, but Valentine Selena's Devoted Basket is really strong and can kind of make his Spd stat usable if you want to go that route. However, it's probably still better to build for Arcane Eclipse simply for the guaranteed follow-up.

Summer Lorenz [+Atk / +Spd]
Devoted Basket+ [Spd / Res]
[Assist]
Flare / Ruptured Sky
Finish 4 / Remote / C Bonus Doubler / Boost 4
Occultist's Strike / Tempo 4 / Mag. Null Follow / Seal Spd/Res 3 / Special Spiral 4
Incite / Oath 4 / Pledge / Pulse Up: Blades / Infantry Pulse 4

I've dropped the stat indicators for the passive slots to save some space. As mentioned previously, he can run Atk/Spd (Spd/Res for debuffs) or Atk/Res options depending on if you're building him for Spd or for guaranteed follow-ups, respectively.

His Res isn't high enough to run Sabotage/Ploy, so he gets the more typical options in each slot. On the other hand, his HP is enormous (which is why all of his other stats suck), so he can also run skills based on HP comparisons if you want to for whatever reason. Unfortunately, I think Infantry Pulse is the only HP-based skill that actually got a tier-4 version so far.

Summer Ingrid:

Spoiler

Summer Ingrid still has the third highest base Spd among lance fliers, so she's still definitely usable even if her Atk is somewhat lacking. Her Starpoint Lance is also scheduled to get a refine in either July or August.

Summer Ingrid [+Spd]
Nabata Lance+ [+Spd] / Kumo Naginata+ / Starpoint Lance
[Assist]
No Quarter / Ruptured Sky
Flared Sparrow / Atk/Spd Clash 4 / Firestorm Boost 3
S/D Near Trace 4 / Aerial Maneuvers / Potent 4 / Wyvern Rift / Guard Bearing 4
S/D Rein Snap / Atk/Spd Oath 4 / Spd/Res Crux

Wyvern Rift is technically an option, but it'll be difficult to actually activate the additional damage and flat damage reduction effects from it since it's based on visible Def. At +10+25 with no Def Asset, she only has 34 visible Def, which isn't enough to activate the effect. With +6 Def from a stat bonus, she'll get 5 points of additional damage and flat damage reduction. Unfortunately, Spd/Def Oath 4 doesn't exist yet. The other effects of Wyvern Rift are still good, though, and there's a decent amount of leeway to activate them.

Summer Sylvain:

Spoiler

Sylvain is like a less awful version of Summer Lorenz. His HP is also high, but not as much so, and he sacrifices his Res stat to make his Atk and Spd less terrible.

Summer Sylvain [+Spd / +Atk]
Teatime Set+ [Spd] / Teacake Tower+ [Spd]
[Assist]
Ruptured Sky
Flared Sparrow / Remote Sparrow
S/R Far Trace 4 / Occultist's Strike
Incite Atk/Spd / Def/Res Smoke 3

Tome cavalry are extremely easy to build because their pool of available skills is so shallow.

Summer Dorothea:

Spoiler

Her stats are still rather outdated, but at least she has more usable offenses than Lorenz and Sylvain. And can Dance.

Summer Dorothea [+Spd]
Florid Knife+ [Spd] / Vicious Dagger+ [Spd] / Broadleaf Fan+ [Spd]
[Assist] / Dance
Lethality / Ruptured Sky
Atk/Spd Finish 4 / Remote Sparrow / C Bonus Doubler / Firestorm Boost 4
Firestorm Dance 3 / Rockslide Dance 3 / Assassin's Strike / Spd/Def Tempo 4 / Phys. Null Follow
Pulse Up: Blades / Atk/Spd Oath 4 / Incite Atk/Spd / Atk/Spd Pledge

One nice thing about daggers is a lot of the good seasonal ones are in the 4-star standard pool as regular weapons. Patty has Miasma Dagger (Bone Carver) and Lara has Clever Dagger (Bunny's Egg).

If you're going to give her Arcane Void, Pulse Up: Blades will help her activate Lethality even if the opponent has Tempo or Guard or if they can't counterattack.

If you're going to give her Arcane Void and want to lean entirely towards the guaranteed follow-up instead of building for Spd, she can run Atk/Res versions of the A and C skills instead. Her Res is still too low to reliably run Sabotage/Ploy, though.

Let me know if I missed a skill option somewhere. It's hard to remember what skills are available these days.

I thought about that option and immediately rejected it because I'd hate it so much.

If we're getting a story character, it'll be on the Book Midpoint New Heroes banner in June since that's when people start dying, not on the May Legendary/Mythic/Emblem banner.

Last year, we got Hinoka on the May LME banner with Heidr on the June New Heroes banner. The year before, Myrrh was the May LME banner with Letizia on the June New Heroes banner and Askr even later on the July LME banner. The year before that, Ashera was the May LME banner with Nott on the June New Heroes banner.

So Legendary Micaiah was moved to the Remix Banners without any notification about it. This means the colorless in the May's Legendary banner got an open slot, which may be filled with Hortensia (since I expect the new Legendary to be green).

That makes sense too.
