...Except the full price is 9 bucks. Perhaps not a steal, but certainly some mild pickpocketing. It's still well worth grabbing. So dew it.

Glory to Arstotzka! ... whenever I do play it, as I already stated my psychological reasons not wanting to lol.

The problem is that I got bored of the combat. It got repetitive and mindlessly easy very fast, and the story wasn't godly enough to keep my attention after I started autopiloting through the fights.

Wait really? The combat is super good though! You have all the different styles you can switch really quickly between and then buff yourself up with items (like being drunk making your heat shoot up). It gets better the more stuff you unlock, including after the business side-quest where you get a really powerful style. There's also super powerful moves to get from Komaki (I think that was his name) too.

The random encounters are whatever honestly, but the boss fights are really fun.

Also, the story ramps up the more and more you play it. It really depends on when you left it off. You get to play as Majima, and he's infinitely more fun to play as, in my opinion.

Oh, no reason to be worried about that. There's four separate save file slots, and the game keeps a save of every single day in every single slot. You can go back and forth with extreme liberty.

Oh that's wonderful... now I will be save scumming like the weasel I am 😅. No but for real, I will try to play the game without any sweat-lording, just actually playing and experiencing it. Whenever I set off time for it though, right now I want to use this weekend to read a load of literature (both scientific and fictional, but not sci-fi lol)

So last night I couldn’t sleep and around 4 am I ended up watching a 100% speed run of the game and now I know all 20 endings. That’s gotta count for something, right?

Heya, LOL. I've seen some of this guy's videos before. Spanish is also complicated with the time tenses LOL. And there's like a million of them! And I understood some of those time tenses cuz they are similar to Spanish ahahaha

I've also seen a video of someone else but it's the Romance languages talking to Latin. I find it on Facebook all the time but couldn't find it in youtube grrr.

Lol, honestly? I think so lol. I mean nothing beats the experience of actually playing it, but you know about it I guess.

I think I agree thus far. Aesthetically and thematically, I'd rate the Fade higher, but it's also kinda annoying to play, so it's quite possible that Dwarftown will end up as my favourite of the four let's-seek-allies parts of the game. I do like the politicking between Harrowmont and Bhelen a lot, in particularl the wonderful street propaganda they're delivering.

mXMfXXQ.jpg

It's why I kinda want to replay this as a Dwarf commoner at some point, partly because the story of the casteless dwarf who is then disgraced even further in the eyes of the powerful and then returns in a position of power that can't be challenged is intriguing to me (and I'm really curious how everybody reacts to that), but also because they have a good RP reason to side with the wonderful bag of shit and kinslayer that is Bhelen.

The public speakers are awesome. I fucking love how they're just sort of standing 100 meters apart from each other. I like to think they're pals, this is just their job and after their shifts end they go hang out together at the tavern.

That's all nice, except every enemy I encountered was utterly mindless and identical except for Kuze 1. That includes bosses, they got softlocked by beast's swing all the same. The game became so easy that it stopped entertaining me, and that's a death sentence. And honestly, I don't know how I could go back to it now after Sifu, I'd just call it the worse brawling beat 'em up lol

I haven't picked up my pencils in over a month. Too busy doing pixel art. That's all over now though, so I'll probably grab the sketchbook soon. My dad got me this fancy toolset from Lidl's bargain bin and I'm looking forward to trying it out.

How many bosses, again?

Because I do agree some bosses are easily dealt with beast mode, but that stops being the case. Did you actually play as Majima or not though?

I did, yes. I believe I lasted until the point where Majima has a girl locked in a storage warehouse? Did a bunch of sidequests too. That's as far as I got before I got too bored to go on.

Is this experience really so good to warrant not following the routes in whatever order you feel like?

7 hours ago, Lightchao42 said:

I was planning on going Lloyd -> Rean -> C every chapter, but I'll try this order out.

Apparently there are fewer missables than usual in this game, so maybe I'll play normally before any points of no return and use a guide to make sure I didn't miss anything. But the idea of playing without a guide for once feels... intimidating.

Thankfully, Haji isn't cryptic about information and is pretty straightforward, so you can tackle it any way you like, be it story or gameplay. However, some revelations are best experienced in that order to maintain impact. I would recommend following chapter 3/4 orders at least.

Also a bit different than I would've expected. I assumed that the story of the origins you didn't pick would unfold just the same as if you had picked it, right up until the point where Duncan was supposed to save that potential Warden's butt: The Dalish elf eventually dies to the taint, the city elf is executed for killing that arsehole, the Human Noble is killed alongside their parents, the Dwarven noble gets eaten in the Deep Roads - but for the Dwarf commoner, you're breaking out of these jail cells before Duncan shows up. Hell, the jailbreak ends with stabbing the mob boss, what's-his-name, who is then succeeded by Jarvia... which evidently must have happened in this timeline, too, given that Jarvia ends up as the new boss, too. And if I recall, some nameless NPCs also mention that she's only been in power for a year, too, which very much seems like a little nod towards the Dwarf commoner story, too.

The only origin that doesn't happen if you don't choose it is the Elf Mage, because the Human is canon.

I stamped some gal's face red on the passport before handing it over and detaining them for funsies. The game proceeded to kill my endlbecause I did not provide a reason for denial even though I did not deny them.

That's what I get for playing around - a run-killing bug. F

Probably not. Coming from a Japanese porn game, I'd instead worry if the author got off on it or if it's intended for the audience to get off on it. But I'm going to be optimistic and say they only did it for the plot. Of this porn game. Seriously you can't proudly describe it as a porn game at every turn, then drop the bombshell that it has child rape in it and expect me not to ponder this question. You have none to blame but yourself.

What’s your flavor for bourbon?

If you can get it in your part of the world, try our Knob Creek smoked maple.

I don’t really drink bourbon, but I’ll have to try Knob Creek Smoked Maple.

It’s really sweet, and if you’re a sipper it wont even need a chaser

I’m more partial to basic Prohibition style moonshine myself because of its old school simplicity but the store I stopped at after hitting the bank to cash my paycheck this week didnt have any, so I grabbed a bottle of Knob Creek
