The series was no stranger to having installments with very different mechanics before Binding Blade decided everything was going to be Mystery of the Emblem from then on out. Meanwhile, Romania tried to take Dobruja from the Ottomans. Russia was allied with Romania, the Ottomans with Austria-Hungary. Surprisingly, Austria-Hungary held its ground, beat the Russians enough times, and fully occupied Romania to force a White Peace. Offsetting the fact the Ottomans were losing ground in the Near East. Never try to fight in two fronts and win in the less importat one is the lesson of the playthrough I guess. You can’t rush it through it like 99% of other levels, because you have to wait on the floating platform so it just takes forever. Oh well, it’s over now until the secret character.
