I complain about RNG all the time

but RNG levelups is the one thing i don't want gone from the series, ngl xD

I'm conflicted on that.
On one hand, it makes FE... well, FE, and it would be kinda sad if it lost this.
On the other hand, if it did vanish, I wouldn't miss it.
You can thank Stella Glow's non-random level-ups for that. XD

it also makes everyone's experieces different, which makes discussions fun tbh

True.

Although the part about the fun discussions is iffy, when I recall some of the stuff I've seen on the "main" forums... XD
There's a reason I'm almost exclusively here these days.

I have quite a few items in my container. Should I sell some stuff, or just keep synthesizing?

What Shrimpy said: never sell materials!

How is everyone today?

Tired, mostly. XD
But not tired enough to go to sleep.
Which kinda sucks, because it's 2:40 a.m.

But I'm doing pretty good otherwise, thank you! ^^

How about you, Sooks? Feeling better?

Doing pretty well, and yourself?

So far, E&L has been a really pleasant game (although I doubt that I've made much progress compared to the game's actual length). The alchemy is complex, but interesting.

Combat has enough features to make it engaging, but not too complicated overall which is good since overly complicated game mechanics tend to confuse me.

I can definitely see where KT's influence crosses over in the games they work on, art style and dialogue especially. It really reminds me of 3H, ngl.

My party members so far--Logy, Escha, and Awin.

It kind of seems like Awin is the Jagen (if I can call him that) of my party, being stronger and tankier than the other characters.

I like how you can use support attacks to double or triple enemies in battle if you want to finish them off faster, or support guard to protect characters who are low on HP.

Though those mechanics might be something from other Atelier games as well, idk.

I like the gameplay loop. It's pretty addictive.

KT doesn't work on Atelier though, only owns/publishes it afaik. The developer is GUST,

Yep, Gust is the developer, Koei Tecmo the publisher.
And I think Escha & Logy is from a time before Gust was actually owned by KT, but I'm not sure.

Atelier Sophie uses this system in a more refined form with an attack stance and guard stance.
And the Arland trilogy uses this, as well. But it's a good mechanic!

Welcome to Atelier, @twilitfalchion! ^^
Glad you seem to be enjoying it!

Thanks. It really does remind me of Rune Factory with that addictive gameplay cycle, even if they are different kinds of games.

Oh, really? Could've fooled me. The art design is pretty similar to my eyes.

Mhm! The two franchises are similar to one another in that regard.
I think @Armagon got into Atelier because it reminded him of RF (if I recall correctly).

Fun fact: The character design for the Dusk trilogy (of which Escha & Logy is a part) was done by none other than the person who did the character design for Fire Emblem Echoes.

Beyond that, it wouldn't surprise me if they used some of Gust's staff to work on Three Houses.

Haunting, yet beautiful.

Oh yeah, I definitely see similarities there.

Yep, the art styles are similar enough that I'd be surprised if that weren't the case.
