This game's name changes just get worse and worse... I would love to hear the thought process behind changing Revenant Knight to Malig Knight.
Beruka is meh but I'm going to pronounce it like Veruca
Saltwhich is a bit better. Niles seems like an unnecessary change. Selena is too close to her real name so really they should've just kept Luna. And IMO the shortening of Japanese names is stupid, but especially if they're short enough already like Mozume.Glad to see they left Nyx alone though.

Really liked what I heard! So glad it was different from the Smash trailer after all. The script seems fine to me, having not read the original Japanese lines.

I would've never expected another FE character... They are really doing their best to squeeze as much money out of the newly expanded fanbase aren't they?
First of all, that voice acting was PoR-level bad. Kind of a shame since Awakening was a big improvement in that area IMO. Also... I was really hoping Corrin was just the name the Treehouse used that one time. Terrible change.
Kamui looks really cool as a fighter but feels so unnecessary. I'll buy him but would've preferred Aqua if it had to be someone from FE14, or one of the older lords.

I just cannot comprehend what exactly is the point of the ass window? Putting aside how impractical it is, it doesn't even look remotely sexy.
Also Leon seems to have had a Camilla-style crotch curtain in his original design... think they gave him pants after, didn't they? Found that amusing.
I really can't wait for a new costume designer to take over... Some of these are really cool and then you have some that are complete fails.

Haven't spoiled too much, I think, so I'm also still interested in the plot even though so many say it's trash. My expectations have certainly been lowered from when the game was first announced though. I'll be happy with at least a decent story.
Nohr and Revelations gameplay, even though I'll be starting with Hoshido. I'm planning to play this game in a less grindy manner than I did Awakening, ignoring stuff like class changing (for the most part) and kids until the Revelations postgame.
Not sure which characters I'll be using yet other than the royals, Zero, and Oboro. I'm hoping the cast ends up being likeable overall! Also hoping for some good supports.

Okay, that's strange….
I know that when I pre-ordered it it said that it was available for international shipping, but now that has changed….
But that's not what it originally said.
Did they goof and forget to include an important restriction that they had originally meant to include? Are they going to cancel the Canadian orders?
I also preordered it from the US Amazon site for international shipping and noticed the same thing. I'm pretty sure it only changed when the preorders ran out so it must be a mistake. As long as you're on the list of countries they ship to you should be good, I hope.

$80 US is a little ridiculous. I would've been fine paying like $60 for the three paths even though I still think they should've all been included together. And lol @ that DLC mention.
Glad it's coming in February though.

I think we're guaranteed to get a release date for both FE14 (Jan or Feb pls) and #FE as well as the English title for the latter.
Now for what I hope will be announced:
-special edition FE14 with both paths for a slightly higher price that isn't limited so it doesn't immediately sell out
-FE14 title has been changed to something better
-some of the name changes seen at E3 are changed back to the originals (mostly Kamui and Tsubaki)
-someone anyone from not Archanea shown for #FE
-a remaster or remake of an older game is announced
none of that will happen ;-; -
Voted a few times for Oboro, Leon, Zero, Rinka. Hope they don't disappoint once I actually play the game.
Kinda hope the kids and Awakening characters place low just so IS don't feel like they have to include them in the next game.

I thought Robin was a terrible "self insert" because of all the player worship, so I'm really worried seeing him getting praise compared to Kamui. :|

So now with Cervantes, minor Awakening bosses are being included before main characters from other games. -_- I know complaining about this is getting old and won't change anything, but it's really disappointing.
Also not sold on the idol stuff but I'm still interested for now. I'm very curious for reviews and impressions.

Not hyped anymore but still looking forward to it. I've been avoiding spoilers as much as possible (which includes avoiding the forums) but I'm pretty bummed to hear the story isn't that great. They really built it up as being a very plot-heavy game after all. I'll still go in with an open mind especially considering every FE game has been called out for having a shitty plot at some point.
Still hate the fanservice.

Just found out about this, and well... It's pretty bad. Why didn't they make her the gay female option...?
Hopefully they'll change it to something completely different in the localization. Not sure if it would be possible to just make her boy-crazy since I haven't read her other supports, but that would be better, yeah.
Calling it "homophobia" seems a bit strong though especially since this particular game has gay marriage... It seems to me more like just bad writing or an innocent oversight. It's definitely something that needs to be called out though.

For me it's not about being a prude, it's about it not fitting and being so shamelessly about sex appeal when that was never a part of FE.I can see customers who grew up in a ultra conservative community being offended.. But for me, not at all
People say "well look these other RPGs have much sexier stuff", but often those series have always been like that. It's like if Zelda suddenly became super sexualized with gameplay waifus and sex mini games.
If it was one thing like just the face rubbing or just the underwear I would still dislike it but not as much. It's the fact that there's so much of it for seemingly no reason other than "it's funny and/or sexy".
As far as the Awakening pandering
Its the Awakening pandering that annoys me a little though. The premise of the game was good enough to stand on its own, but now I feel like the game doesn't have the courage to stand on its own merrits. The children themselves where not neccesary in my eyes, but I can live with that. Having 8 carbon copies on the other hand is something that I consider an extreme waste of space.
This is exactly how I feel.

Some good news, at least. So if I'm understanding right, A+ is same sex romance for units who aren't Kamui, who can only get S rank with one male in Nohr and one female in Hoshido. Right?
The bad news is this also confirmed separate releases.

Haha I meant the "Demon" part moreso for lacking subtlety. Good to know it'll be a long campaign as well though.

I was hoping if the third route was about both countries joining to fight the real baddie, it would be someone/thing more subtle than that.
Do we know how many chapters are in the third path?

I wish they would just make a new dating sim series separate from FE, and let FE go back to being a medieval fantasy JRPG instead of a "self-insert anime". They can keep making money off fanservice without selling out the series. Won't happen though.

For me, at least, I understand when a name is changed because it's too hard to pronounce/read, or doesn't work as well for a non-Japanese audience. But this game has a lot of seemingly arbitrary changes, like Harold to Arthur or Kamui to Corrin, and the chopping up of Japanese names (especially because it's not been consistent-- Mozume and Tsubaki are too hard but Yukimura is fine?). Then you have stuff like Rinkah and Beruka that just leave me scratching my head. And Llewellyn actually seems like a name that would've been changed in localization, not added!
I do like that name though, hope it fits whoever the character is.I don't care much about stuff like Marx to Xander because, ok, the localization team is from the USA and are sensitive to that name, fine. Same for Silas/Cyrus because both are valid readings of the Japanese name. But I just don't get the reasoning behind the others.
