I know everyone's already told you about drifting (to the point that I would've probably been annoyed by now XD) but I just wanted to say that it is certainly possible to win without cheats, haha. I say that because I am not that good at Mario Kart and I managed to get stars on most of them, and three stars on some, and if I played enough (the game IS luck-based, so getting first place nabbed by items is bound to happen sometimes...) I could probably be even more successful, so it's definitely possible even for someone who is not that good, haha. I also think that having someone to play with you helps if they're willing to work with you. I know I once stayed back to help my sister and fight with people in like the 2nd-5th places or so (there are often racers close to each other that fight it out...), and as a result she did well because she wasn't getting bombarded by attacks anymore. Sadly it's not exactly the most... convenient tactic or fair or other things lol Anyway, I don't think I saw anyone state interest in playing with others from other forums. Going from my understanding of how tournaments work, maybe we could have another combined group for multiple FE forums or something? Idk, up to you guys, we could go nowhere with this idea and it'd be fine I guess *shrug*

I still don't fully understand how tournaments work (haven't done one), but just throwing this out there: would you guys be down for a tournament against some people from FES/other Fire Emblem forums? Just some friendly games with a little spice/competitive kick or something. Depending on the flexibility of these tournaments we might be able to have something fun happen. *shrug*

I actually think JFP isn't the better choice reason: because not as many people use it and therefore it is less convenient news flash: most people don't care about optimization etc., they care about convenience and ease of use and using what most people use = easier, it is not flawed logic, the way of the world otherwise the BPS patch format would have taken off but I'm pretty sure that didn't happen despite how good it is

that's great, that's probably one of the best ways to learn if not the best way to learn, ultimately hands-on experience/figuring stuff out for yourself is the way to go, [weird analogy incoming] at best tutorials will show you how a race is done and put you at the starting line, they won't race for you and don't forget that competition brings the best out of people so share your hypothetical driving skills with everyone or you will just have an unrewarding race where you sit in first place I may or may not have been playing Need for Speed a little over an hour ago okay?!

Seems like the weapon rank bonuses are going to sort of polarize weapons more. Axes will be even stronger while maintaining their lower hit. Sword users tend to have decent if not high skill and certain classes even get crit bonuses, so the weapon rank crit bonuses will make them even more likely to crit. Lances are just sort of the middle ground with buffs to both Light magic tomes tend to have higher base crit than other tomes (only slightly but still) and now it's getting even more of a crit bonus (+20 means crit rates are going to be around the high 20s or 30s for characters... o_O) Technically this is just a theory based on observations but I pointed it out to make sure you realized the potential consequences of doing this... it's just a theory but I think weapons will become even more polarized in their uses Toodles~

Both probably. I wasn't as interested in Pokemon X and ended up getting it pretty late, and only got Y due to the free game promotion, but for this one I think I could do with getting both for whatever reason. If I end up not having the money I guess I'd start with Ruby and get Sapphire later or something (even though I kinda prefer Kyogre's design lol).

It's based on events, just edit the allied unit list in a chapter using the Event Assembler... even though I say "just" though it takes some working knowledge of events and the event assembler and possibly some other things to do. :\ You may have more luck with more help by asking in your own thread though.

a small part of the problem is many people don't understand Japanese and the unfamiliarity with the language can often contribute to a greater sense of quality... because they might not know how they usually speak etc. and can't tell a good VA vs. a bad one as well personally I prefer dubs whenever it's quality, and there are some ones I found quality. granted it's mostly perspective/opinion/preferences in the end but English is my native language so >_>; other reasons dubs can be bad: - low budgets - not familiar with the material - not able to conver the Japanese way of talking/emotion to English - changing the language too much where things become too... localized, like Americanized, and people are throwing around dumb expressions or saying things out of character (compared to the original Japanese versions, which generally know how characters are supposed to be portrayed etc. the best) - people watching subs first and getting massively biased towards the voices they associate with the characters - general weebiness

all of them? sounds like a bad idea just rebooting a select few would be good new IPs are also nice, I think there's going to be one new IP that will also make it into Smash at E3, personally (just guessing ofc)
