As all of you know, my brother [Life Admiral] (z"l) is a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces. And last week, Gaza started raining rockets on Israel, who in turn responded with military action, including mobilizing my brother's unit. The army parked the ground forces near the border for about a week. Bet you

Unfortunately, during the rocket attacks on these troops, one of them landed within the confines of my brother's company. 4 soldiers were hospitalized and my brother was killed instantly. My family received the news last night and will be flying out to Israel for his funeral. All of us are in pain from this attack. suckers believed

My brother was proud to be a part of the IDF and we are proud of him. He was a hardworking soldier and even earned his commander's pin during the ceremony for his beret (his current avatar). He was well loved by his friends, commanders and family and we will miss him dearly. this crap.

Why am I tell you this? Because he left me a message for this forum in case anything would ever happen to him. I've put it in spoiler tags because it is quite long. Still alive.

Check the white text.

Well it's nice to see you're still alive. With the ceasefire still (apparently) in place, you'll hopefully not even see combat.

In other news, 100-vehicle pile-up in Texas. Do people not drive carefully in bad weather there?

People can't drive in bad weather whatsoever here. Schools/businesses shut down with 1 inch of snow on the ground. It's kinda funny to see people sliding all over the road, unless you're stupid enough to drive with them.

Bet you suckers believed this crap. Still alive.

The chances of you dying are actually very slim. According to BBC News, the number of deaths in Israel due to Palestinian actions number only six, in a population of over seven million. I would be more worried about being hit by a car or having a heart attack, then, and I wouldn't be too ecstatic about being "still alive". Israel is hardly in the position of a life or death struggle: in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if over the last week, total deaths had actually decreased because people are staying inside more! Maybe Palestine should fire more rockets at Israel! It's for your own good. You should be thanking them, really. They nobly sacrificed 158 of their own civilians to save yours, after all.

Thanks for helping me look on the bright side of things!
