FE5 with boosters and custom skills isn't so bad. It's sorta like FE13 actually.

I was going to ask something about procs and the RNs. I know the game displays to the player the integer rounded down (29 skl means 14 crt displayed). But what happens internally? I've had this thought that if a unit has a skill rate, let's say Astra or Aether (41/2%), which is technically a 20.5% proc, does the game trigger internally the skill or crit if, say, the rn is a 20? 20 is below 20.5 so it may apply, but we currently say that 20 can't trigger a 20.5% or 41/2%. I ask because I'm curious as to what happens in such cases.

If you have 100 hit, you have precisely 100 hit and not 100.5. Don't see why the game would treat these rounded down numbers any differently...

Well, one can argue that that's because 100 is the max!Limit while 0 is the min!Limit. A negative hit would be 0, but the question still stands :<

I doubt DSFE would handle rng calcs differently when everything math related is Truncated in GBAFE and (I'm pretty sure) ConsoleFE already. Why would skills be handled differently

Nah, I'm thinking of an Averages run, with no RNG abuse or anything like that.

I wonder did anyone ever try to play a pre-FE4 game here. With how ridiculous the boosters are, combined with 20-caps across the board, I wonder would a match in the brokenness of FE1 be doable. Max caps are a moot point: you could use anyone. Would it be feasible to have an FE1 averages without boosters? Unlikely, but I guess it can't hurt to try sometime.

Maybe ages ago and dunno where can it be found. I just recall Lyn and Hector being the best in FE7, and the twins and Garm users on the top in FE8.

Tana would be top tier FE8 too, I believe. Tana-Ephraim-Eirika was pretty strong, I've heard.

i could kp but i would need a bit of time to figure out which units i want to use. i never actually got that far in fe7, so i have no idea about which units you even get in the later parts of the game.

FE8's will be a bit different, there are different S ranks and some different normal weapons too, and they might have different MT/hit too, i'm not toally sure.

Yes you can use boosters on any unit.
