It's bows that she sucks with. Also, be sure to abuse Aim. It's great. Even if she's a bit underlevelled, give her a proper crossbow and she should be able to pull her weight, if nothing else. They didn't held it for long, as I had set the Limited (Naval) game rule for exclave realm. So when the Mongol khan died, the lands in the Maghreb were deemed as too far away from the "core" territory (closest point being the Ukraine), so they became all independent again. By the way, the boss, Lyarc, is probably the easiest chance to get a general shield. Basically every other general has Robust, or spawns really, really late.
