    CYOU'RE - Game Over

Paperblade had an obvtown role and has never been mislynched on SF, Boron would have been harder to mislynch than either Eury or Gorf, and #ego but nobody else other than Eury would have voted me so it would have had to come down to a 3p LYLO with me and Eury, which would have had to involve a Gorf mislynch anyways since you couldn't have killed him (unless you guys had a ninja left late in the game but I don't think so?), at which point it's still harder than the conditions you faced this game. Games happen where mafia get killed by the SK. It actually happens in a lot of games involving SKs, and yes, SKs are not anti-town as much as they are anti-everyone. But town comprises a larger portion of everyone, so they're still more anti-town than they are anti-mafia. Navigating around ITPs is part of playing as mafia, just as lucking out when they kill strong roles and obvtown people for you is also part of it. FFM was btw a better case of crossfire dicking anti-towns over because town actually played really really badly in that game and won basically only because of the crossfire. And even then it's a bad example because there were two town modkills and the ITP killed both masons before the crossfire even started. A better case (#nosalt) would be Touhou NOC, where the SK outed a rolecop report on one member of the mafia and killed two more. It just doesn't get treated as such because the SK won in the end.

And who exactly would you have mislynched? The people alive would have been like me, Paperblade, Boron, so...

    CYOU'RE - Game Over

I know; the point I was trying to make was that if Eclipse had been town I wouldn't have been strongmanned and thus would have gotten at least a few more reports. But I forgot about the vanillizer so that particular point was moot. Regardless I think Baldrick is underestimating the effect pure numbers have... Removing 3 town deaths, 1 mafia death, and then even adding another town death if you say Eclipse blocked a mafkill, it makes the numbers after her lynch (which probably wouldn't even have happened if she were town btw) at the start of D7 5/2 rather than 3/1, which is one extra mislynch and more active townies alive. EDIT: I didn't say anything about whether or not I would have lynched you but fwiw I'm pretty sure you were in my post-death scumteam guess before I was informed

    CYOU'RE - Game Over

kirsche's play the entire game was quite literally to park his vote on the SKs (whether or not he knew they were actually SKs). His play on later phases starts looking a lot more questionable if Shin flips town and if Eclipse flips town. You subbed into a shitty situation so idrk what to say about that. And saying 'oh the SKs killed only three town' ignores that I was strongmanned and you would have had to kill either Randa or SB before me, meaning I would have probably survived for at least two more nights, aka two more cop reports. Eclipse also idled a kill, and since you're not informed you don't know that Shin overslept and missed out on using his governor on D2, which would have let him survive for another day phase.

well it's kind of difficult to take statements like "making two anti-town slots town instead would lower town chances of winning" seriously

  9. Looking at all the reports about this guy it's just like... how was he even out on the streets? He was charged on something like 40 cases of sexual assault and was being implicated in the murder of his wife and had publicly taken credit for really vile hate mail sent to the families of dead soldiers. Why on earth was he granted bail? And not to mention that he was originally an Iranian refugee so there were probably grounds for deporting him just based on the hate mail.
  10. the idea is that you get the kanto and kalos starters in X/Y and get everything else in ORAS
  11. I don't think it should be possible for one character to ORKO the final boss by themselves... maybe it should be possible with clever use of your units to kill them in turn with your entire team, but if one character can do it in one round or two rounds if you heal + dance them that's just kind of an anti-climax IMO.
  12. I think because Altaria looks all cuddly and because mega evolution hype and Dragon/Fairy hype people forget that Altaria is not actually very good. It has a BST under 500. Hell, even Mega Altaria has a lower BST than regular Salamence. Its offences are okay as a Mega but it still has mediocre speed and the defensive boost is offset by the fact that it still has low HP.

if you were a pokemon which pokemon would you want to be? and more broadly any fictional character?
  14. Slaking has a fairly decent 100 base speed; I don't think you want Trick Room up for him. And yeah, the idea with using Regigigas/Slaking with a Skill Swap/Gastro Acid/etc partner in doubles is not a new one. But it's just really inflexible because it resets every time you switch the pokemon out so you have to time it really well, and timing something like that is harder in doubles because you need to get both Slaking/Regigigas + your ability swapper out at the same time. Plus it's doubles so it's easier for your opponent to gang up on them. Not to mention that Gastro Acid users are all mostly bad and Skill Swap means that your swapper becomes useless. I would use Regigigas over Slaking if you really want to try the strategy out; they have the same ATK and SPD but Regigigas has 45 extra Sp.Def and 10 extra Def in exchange for 40 less HP and 15 less Sp.Atk, and Slow Start is probably slightly less bad than Truant if you're in a situation where you can't swap their abilities out. EDIT: you have to love power creep though; isn't it great that in Gen3/4 Gamefreak thought that a 670 BST needed to be paired with a hindering ability and then two generations later MEGA RAYQUAZA

  16. kind of have to agree; played BE for a while but now I'm back to Civ 5 and it's just so much more fun. Tried Deity with Maya this time but it seems I have some way to go in perfecting my strategy.... got wiped out by Siam just as I was starting to catch up in tech (around Modern era again). In hindsight I should have helped out my buddies India while Siam was attacking them because I should have realized that Siam would go after me next, but I was struggling with unhappiness problems because ~ideologies and that was giving me gold problems too, because I was having to pay ridiculous amounts for luxes to civs that weren't giving me fair deals. It didn't help that I wasn't able to become allies with CSs this time around; a lot of the civs were pumping money into the CSs or putting their own spies in there which wasn't the case last time. It was also harder to fulfill trade route quests because my capital placement sucked. My second city was also kind of far away from my capital and my third city (settled there for a natural wonder and some luxes).
  17. sb just reminding you can you remove me from the sub list so I can talk to people playing ;_;
  18. you're now old enough to play mafia and watch your dad get lynched D1

man I voted for Rein and then I realized I have no questions to ask do you prefer rolling town or mafia? favourite game you hosted?
  20. won my first deity victory yesterday! I'd tried a couple times the last few weeks with Inca but unfortunately it just wasn't working out, maybe due to bad starts where I got no mountains near my capital all three times and could only settle near mountains with my secondary cities once or twice. Anyways I switched to Poland and it was a relatively smooth ride to the spaceship. Germany was threatening Diplo but I ruined it super-early by putting all my spies into city states and putting all my votes into America so that he wouldn't become the host. He switched to a cultural/domination type of victory but he wasn't smart in terms of which civs he took over. He captured Spain and America's capitals but he was already influential over both of them when he did that. He should have aimed for Egypt and Songhai, who were the main civs slowing down his CV (he was influential over me too). Near the end he put up the Apollo Program and then three spaceship parts in just a few turns but it was too late at that point. I was a little worried I was taking too long to catch up in tech but I passed Germany somewhere in the Modern Era and it was fairly easy after that. It helped that Germany/America/Spain all became friends in the early-midgame to give me RAs and Egypt was nice at the end after Spain got wiped out and Germany/America stopped wanting to be friends (though they were still nice-ish). I'm really starting to like the idea of putting spies in city states; I think I only stole maybe two or three techs and then just put them all in city states and the increased culture, luxes, and happiness was all really helpful.
  21. well you can't really wear socks with a lot of women's footwear (heels, sandals, etc.) and yes I know that men wear sandals too but women wear them more often and then plus nail polish and stuff
  22. The AreaNav's trainer rematch function is okay but Match Call from Emerald (can't remember if it was in R/S or not) was way better because you didn't need to be in the area to check which trainers wanted to rematch... you could just scroll through the trainers you had registered and see which of them, in any route, wanted to fight. Regice was OU in gen 3 I think and since then none of them have been really viable competitively.
  23. That message in the Trick House means that the Trick Master is hidden somewhere in the room. Go around clicking a on the cabinets and cushions and whatever other items are in there and you'll be able to find him to unlock a maze. A new one is unlocked every gym leader you beat (up to like 5 I think) so post E4 your pokemon will be way higher level than anything in there. Maybe treat it as training for some low-leveled pokemon.
