  1. I really doubt Byleth is meant to be that much older than the House leaders. Around 20 at most. At least when comparing Edelgard and F!Byleth I just don't buy them having too large an age gap (though that could just be generic youthfulness at work.)

Oliver gets some fun finally and Stahl shows Caeda his own refine.

Poor Marth had no chance against that beauty. Taku acquit himself well against the flier here as well and Wallhart proved himself a real Wall to tackle. I love seeing Stahl's refine at work here. It seems to do a lot for him.

Short (and straight forward) video(s), short reply: Great! : -)

I like kitty Sakura in both videos. Since I got only Nowi from her banner, I might try again next Halloween.

    Oh no, I was referring to Zeo, who doesn't usually do these clears anymore, so I thought I should explain there's no pressure.;; Of course, no one has to reply to my clears, but I do still really appreciate them. Hope this mistake on my part won't result in radio silence for future clears. haha;;;;

Wow, that looked absolutely effortless! Absolutely no problem for the Takumi squad

Yeah, this one was rather easy for archers. Especially with a flying archer along for the ride.

I actually felt like this was one of the more challenging BHBs in recent memory, though mainly I just just hate that mountain for making positioning more difficult

You do say that, but except for the lance cav and archer, none of the enemies seemed problematic for you. Good on Cherche and Marisa for taking those hits and then going against the weapon triangle to finish the job. Well done!

I’ve been considering showing off my main beast/dragon team for a while now and I’ve finally gotten around to doing a clear with them!

Yay, some more powerful women! They really told Marth and Caeda to get a room here. haha Especially Idunn was great, with how much she could handle. Marth may as well have been holding a bronze sword for how much it did against her. Congrats!

I was waiting for this map so I could properly do this theme clear~

The lovebirds probably didn't expect these people to show up and ruin their honeymoon. Way to scare em straight. Fallen Celica taking on the Lance Cav was pretty impressive, and the rest of the map just seemed to fold into itself afterwards. Caeda was a bit of a threat at the end, but she couldn't withstand Bold Fighter from Hardin. Execellently done!

To celebrate Jeorge making it to the final round of VG, I wanted to let the Husbandos take a crack at this map

Cute and fitting music you got there. And Keaton almost clearing the map himself was so hilarious. I thought he was going to die at first, but then remembered just how broken he is. At least he left some for the rest and Jeorge does look very impressive on that thumbnail. This really brightened my day!

Fun music for fun times. Takus being bows easily deal with the fliers upfront and Nyakumi has no issue one-shitting the cav with OG!Taku taking on the mage~ Skadkumi is unbothered by a little tanking and deals with the inferior bow user and Marth is easily cleaned up by Sunkumi~ Well done!

Thanks! Yeah, none of the enmies were able to challenge the Takus really. Unless they are armours or dragons, holding out against the firepower doesn't work too well.

On 7/7/2019 at 5:37 PM, Sasori said:

Also nice clear. The taku's did't even break a sweat. Evil Takumi barely took any damage from that blue flier and no one else got any more threatening.

I really appreciate at least one of the Takus having a great Res stat (though Nyakumi's isn't bad either).

    22 hours ago, mampfoid said:

Don't know if it was so simple, but Takus certainly make it look so! F!Taku does some nice tanking btw.

It's good to have a reliable tank in a team full of otherwise rather brittle nukes. haha

On to the last two clears:

    @mcsilas @daisy jane @Azuris @Robert of Normandy @ruruo @Zeo (I'll start tagging you again, though I don't require a reply.)

Music: 1. Victory - from Grandia 1 2. versus Brandon/May - from Pokémon ORAS (gotta love those trumpets)

Orignally planned on getting rid of both Marth and Caeda at the start, but the left pillar made things too awkward. As such I switched back to my old strategy of prodding them with the pain stick and then having Sakura take out 90% of the rest of the map. Really, although it was a bit tougher for them, this map didn't cause the girs to break into too much of a sweat. Next!

Music: The Three Young Women - from Grandia 1

Started out by having Sunkumi rid me off Caeda again (her Atk-Debuff is so annoying) then Sakunyan took out the mages and Reyson got his fill by killing the lance cav. Had to have Maribelle hit Marth twice to weaken the Archer enough for Sakunyan to finish. I was tired when I recorded this, so I almost messed up there with getting the last kill. Luckily I remembered in time, but I decided it wasn't bad enough to redo the clear.

    Hope you enjoyed!

Poetry in motion. I wish I had more to say about this clear but it's just so seamless. The synergy between the birds is so perfect. Tibarn's ATK is so crazy that he just rips through anything he touches and Galeforce + 3 MOV just makes for an unstoppable force. That supported by Naesala and 2 3 Mov Dancers who even give them 7-14 HP for sustained healing is just too much. The team even has perfect color balance. Good music choice as well. Seems you can't go wrong with Nier.

Thanks! The fact that there weren't really any obstacles on the map helped too. They just had free reign and I was able to show off Tibarn at full destructiveness. I thank Intsys every day they made the birds as powerful as they are. It's so good to use faves to clear these!

    As for this one,

You say Matthew couldn't tank everything, but he still came close to it with the sheer number of blows he took, especially Yune. He did leave some action for the rest though. It was nce to see Genny be active and aggressive all around, as well as be reminded of why Ayra was so feared in the day. Inigo supported them all incredibly well (as well as dished out a bit himself). He is a very useful dancer to have around. Overall I'd say you took on this map and beat it with as much grace as one can achieve.

I stopped playing shortly after Beast units were introduced, so a clear like this is new to me. A clear it was though. Seeing your birds, all with perma-3 MOV dance around the field effortlessly was a spectacle to behold. 2 of those birds being dancers only made it even more unfair. At no point did I feel any sense of danger for your units, even when they were at one point or another clearly in range of a unit that could deal huge damage to them. It reflects not only the dominance of the Laguz Royal units, reminiscent of FE10, but also a taste of just how dangerous they are when used together.

Yeah the birds are pretty ridiculous. I only bring them out for the toughest challenges, because anything else would be unfair. They do sometimes suffer in limited terrain but are otherwise able to punch through almost everything. I am glad to be able to show them off to you at this point. Thanks for the compliments!

. It's good to see you guys again.

And it's so good to have them back! I had forgotten just how amazing your Matthew is, but it's great to be reminded. Especially as he did most of the map by himself. Really this was just no true challange for him. I saw that you aren't too happy with his refine, but I think it can still have his uses. What's obvious though is that he doesn't really need it to be amazing in these really difficult fights. I was never concerned wether he would make it or not, because you've done a good job making him look powerful and always ahead of the enemies. Congrats!

  6. Yay more orbs to save for Summer Micaiah and the debut of my 3 Houses faves! It does make me regret not at least giving the Legendary banner a try, but that's hindsight for you.

Anyway, Lilina is the only one I remotely care about on this banner and I can live without her. She does look good admittedly, though I wish they'd try different artists for her.

A sixth Lyn was just a matter of time I suppose. Don't really feel the rage, just minor annoyance. I suppose Intsys thought enough time had passed for fans to calm down about her, but I guess it's proven not to be the case.

    Anyway, back to saving orbs!

Reyson sure dished out the damage against the Sapphire Lance cav (Triangle Advantage is great and he has that over Leanne). Who cares about lava when you have bird laguz? Also helps it's such a well-balanced team in colour coverage.

Triangle Advantage does help, but he is pobably frustrated about his disadvantage against reds. That just means I need to give him more power in the future though. haha Yep, a lot of these maps can be made so much easier when using fliers. I will always be thankful for Intsys making the Bird Tribe match up so well colour-wise.

I dub this team, Team Harmony.

These guys have a good colour spread as well! Great to see Brave!Ike here, I really do miss his heydays. It was so impressive to see both him and Silas stall down the enemies for so long. Taking them out bit by bit until nothing was left. It was a really great firework show. Congrats!

Finally here is an earlier clear, also trying out a newly summoned unit from the legendary banner, starring Yune!

Ahh, it really does feel like everyone but me has Yune now. It was my own fault for wasting my orbs before this banner, but it does still sting. As expected, she and Ophelia really nuked the place to the ground. It's amazing how much destructive power they have. Siegbert also showed his continued relevance as a cavalry sword. Azura keeps the whole party playing as expected. Some really great pyrotechnics at play today. Well done!

Infernal Marth & Caeda in one turn:

Tibarn's debut!! He's looking great there! Seeing him team up with Elincia to take down the lovebirds was fun to see. The rest of the map was pretty much a massacre in your favour. Glad to see Airzura keep putting in her work. Still the best flying singer imo. haha

A few days ago I noticed that I had a Corrin collection so I decided to give the face touchers their own little run. They ambush couples so they satisfy their creepy face rubbing needs.

Neat team. There were close calls all around but the corncobs prevailed in the end. Dream!Corrin certainly showed how tough she is holding her own. The rest was very spectacular team ups in order to get the upper hand on the couple here. Congrats!

    @mcsilas @Landmaster @daisy jane @kirauza343 @Azuris @Robert of Normandy @ruruo

It's always nice to air out the room with something simple after the LHB season:

Music: 1. Trainer eyes meet (Honeymooners) - from Pokémon X&Y 2. The more I try - Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World

Here the Takus politely tell the two lovers to get a room. With arrows.. And a mochi. Honestly, there is not too much to say. Flying in seemed obvious and from there it was just mostly tanking by Skadikumi and revenge kills. I guess having to equip Swordbreaker on Sunkumi to one-shot Marth was somewhat significant. Overall though it was a simple and fun diversion. On to the next ones later!

He's not being terribly rude, but he's not being polite either, and definitely didn't say any equivalent of "please", so I left it out.

I know, but just reading the sentence without seeing the video made it come across as a bit snappier than what he said in the actual video. I don't think it's always necessary to see a 1/1 word equivalent for "please" in Japanese to add it in English in order to get across the level of politeness, but I guess we just make different calls on that.

No blue orb, so I pick one of the colorless orbs:

Sweet! Wish that was me. Over the entire course of the game and lots of colourless sniping sessions I only ever got one Taku. If it wasn't for the free one, he'd still be struggling with a speed bane.

  11. Just won a match with only one unit lost. I switched the bonus hanger on to from Brady to Alphonse and it worked out better than I expected. He was actually the mvp of that clear after Micaiaha so rudely murdered PicnicLeon. Aversa's presence helped, but it's still impressive how he lived through like four units attacking him on the same turn and murdered half of them. I certainly won't be making fun of the bench lord anymore.

  12. This mode continues to make me despise it. One season, I can get to almost Tier 20, and the next I only win 3 matches on the first day, lose all my ladders and have one victory immediately invalidated by a full defense loss. I just hate how this mode requires you to play almost perfectly at all times without a chance to make up for it like arena does. It really isn't my scene and I wouldn't even care if even the lower tiers didn't get progressively worse by the week.

Now this one was actually not that hard

Pretty amazing job showing off those little girls. Nah really is so good holding her own against what seems like 90% of the map. Delthea had her fun sniping things, even if she needs a couple more merges to become all powerful. Elise was the most impressive though, seeing as she blew up Eliwood like it was nothing. Really did not see that coming. What a plesant surprise. xD They all took quite the beating but managed to last until the end. You really have some very resilient girls there. Congrats!

On 6/30/2019 at 8:44 PM, Landmaster said:

The birbs had some mercy in not going in headstrong on Turn 1. Still didn’t prepare Eliwoods troupes for the onslaught. Reyson shows off some nice resilience against the Tome Cav and he protects Tibarn from the the Sapphire Lancer with ease. As always, I love seeing a Cleric go down early, even though this one wasn’t particularly annoying~ The enemy can’t even get so much as a dent in with all the passive healing and Naesala gives quite the kill against Eliwood!~ Everything else was just cleanup for them. With Eliwood going down so late it was really impressive that the birbs were able to deal with this map while the enemies had their Bonus Doublers active! Awesome work!

Yeah, I thought about rushing it, but then I do like seeing all the reinforcements and taking them out piece by piece. Reyson is now a fully fledged combatant and he can prove it. haha Glad you enjoyed the beatdown. I do love doing that to those squishy bastards. I was afraid Eliwood would be another Eirika situation, but doubling him was just no challenge and so Naesala didn't struggle at all to rush him. It's comforting to know that even if Intsys keeps twisting on the power creep tab, the birbs will be able to keep up for a while yet.

hanks Nanima! I just wish i could show everyone. but i don't know if people would watch w/o sound, I use a mac so i don't know how to sound edit, and i don't know if people would watch with such a clear lag. (and i'm unsure why it lags to begin with). but some of them  are so clever and it's like.. i hope i'm verbally expressing it. (and people are reading it haha)

Your clears were fantastic as always!
I tried for a Tibarn. no luck (he probably knows he's food for me).  but he does seem like fun.

I don't really know too much about that topic either, but maybe try using another recording software/app? Can you still add another music track without it desynching as well? I always have no in-game sounds, because my phone only records from mic, and mic audio sucks. But even if that doesn't work for you, I'd still love watching your videos even without sound.

Thanks! I do hope you can get Tibarn (or someone else in the future who carries the impact skill) at some point, even if it's just to make another fave stronger. That's still a worthy goal!

    11 hours ago, mampfoid said:

I was lucky, it took only 2 Grays (one of them free):

Congrats on getting Tibarn! (and some nice extras) He really is so strong. I know how good it feels to have the birb squad at your disposal, so I want you to enjoy it as much as possible!

Best birds at work! Really cool how strong Naesala is getting: Eliwood was practically outclassed. Few merges plus perhaps some premium fodder (Summer Laegjarn!) and he doesn't need the damage special anymore.

    Great clear again, congrats!

Btw: I'm really hoping to get a Tibarn soon. Not sure if to pull from the VG banner or to wait for his appearance on a legendary banner (shouldn't be too far away).

Indeed, it's amazing how good of a free unit they made him! Sadly, I just don't have the orb fun currently to consider pulling for Laegjarn, but maybe during a Legendary banner or another.

    Thanks!

I wish you good luck with Tibarn. Currently he's lined up to share a colour at nearly all times, so it's rough going. Whatever you decide I hope he comes to you quickly.

@daisy jane Congrats to you for clearing it. I know the feeling of accomplishment that gets you. Your Celica and her cheerleaders definitely did their best to help you finish it. Congrats!

@kirauza343 Yeah, Eliwood just didn't really want to engage for the longest time, so I had to deal with both that and his Chill Atk constantly messing with Tibarn. Luckily the birds just have such amazing stat lines that it didn't matter.

This LHB really is the time for Celica. She is such a great unit and you showed her off well, especially in combination with those dancers. While L!Azura tends to make other dancers pale in comparison, I also still love Nyazura for these clears. She is quite capable at dishing damage out in a pinch.

@SatsumaFSoysoy They sure are. I still love how broken Intsys decided to make them.

Nice work at showing off to underused powerhouses! Masked!Marth sure took a lot of abuse but was able to hold her own exceedingly well. Maybe I've been sleeping on her. Good job on this very crazy map.

  15. I'll be playing Blue Lions first (F!Byleth only) and I am tending towards Felix right now, though Dimitri isn't out of the question depending on how exactly things go down with him.

Black Eagles: Dorothea, no question. (should the rumours be true) I'd possibly go for her in Blue Lions too, but I plan to "keep it in the house" so to speak between playthroughs. (even though I'll be poaching her for sure)

Golden Deer: Claude, as he is the only remotely attractive male in that house. For the girls: Hilda, Leonie and Marianne aren't my type and Lysithea is too young.

If faculty members are available, I'll romance Catherine for sure (please be bi)

  16. @mampfoid Father versus son! On horseback! Amazing chance to show off more B!Roy and you took it. Eliwood must have been so proud as he hit the dirt. Velouria also showed off her strength though she couldn't make use of Galeforce this time. Cordelia got the two kills she needed with ease, knowing that the Cav in the back was no match for Roy. Congrats!

    @Landmaster @mcsilas @Robert of Normandy @kirauza343 @daisy jane @Azuris @Sasori @ruruo

Let's see how that barbecue is working out as "training ground".

Music: Sound of the End - Nier Automata (Hector and Lyn also got Nier tracks, so this was only logical)

I actually had a harder time figuring out Infernal than this. Mostly because I didn't find the right way go bait the enemies for a while. In Abyssal, they all lined up perfectly and I took the oportunity to do the same thing I did with Hrid: Wipe out most of the enemies by the second turn, so there are only stragglers left to deal with later. And it worked! My birds not having to worry about the lava pit certainly helped. Naesala didn't need to be speed stacked, but still went into overdrive taking out anything non-green. Summoner Support probably helps with that. haha Reyson only got one kill, but it was a highly critical one and I am definitely proud of him for it. Overall, this LHB had some nasty tricks at times but doesn't compare to some of the others out there.

    Hope you enjoyed!
