  1. Just as promised, I've started my new playthrough of FE12! Starring a bunch of mid tiers and an Archer avatar. Here are the rules: 1. Lunatic Class difficulty. 2. Rainbow Potion, Growth Drop and Bond Drop are banned from use. 3. Lunatic is assumed to have never been completed, so Lunatic boosters are banned from use. 4. No male units can reclass outside of their original class set. 5. Efficiency style. By that I mean not LTC but still fast paced enough. Hopefully no turtling unless strictly neccesary. If a strat in the Prologue can be done without deploying High Tiers, I will do the chapter without them. 6. Avatar must be a Female Archer during the Prologue and will be benched afterwards. 7. High Tier and Top Tiers units, except Feena, are banned from use after the Prologue. 8. Full recruitment. 9. No permanent unit deaths allowed. 10. If a high tier unit is auto-deployed by the game in a chapter, that unit can be used for the remainder of that chapter. Ex: Catria, Palla, Sirius Examples of not automatically deployed by the game: Malicia, village units etc. 11. I can actually deploy High Tier units, but they may never enter combat while equipped with a weapon or use staves on anyone or anything. This is in case someone of a higher tier is neccesary to recruit someone. Example: Caeda with Roger, Sirius with Nyna, etc. Here is the first vid: Tears gets to be an Orphan with Kindness present and Wealthy future. Orphan lets her 2HKO the soldier, saving a vulnerary use. She only needs 8 str to 3HKO Jagen. It also guarantees beating Luke next chapter as it makes her and Ryan able to 4HKO Luke without any str procs from Tears. Kindness lets her take on the first Prologue with less vulneraries used. Note that in order for her to save this vulnerary use, one of Jagen or the soldier can't proc max Str. Wealthy so that she has a great Spd growth, might come in handy! Here's Prologue 1:
  2. Today I found out all my FE12 have everything unlocked. Welp. I'll just play on my most recent save but I'll ignore the mixed male class set classes, DLC and cant buy boosters.
  3. Archer Avatar will carry the team, it's sad. H3 Mid Tiers with no DLC, mixed class sets or Lunatic boosters won! I'll start on Monday, hype! One last question though: LTC or not to LTC?
  4. You can keep a class if you promoted mid chapter then? That seems abusable.
  5. I made it before you said it was up to 3 though. I can redo the run if need be. I'm only in Ch5. Macellan and Elice for me. Baldrick gets: Etzel as a Hero and Ymir as a Berserker. Enjoy.
  6. I'm not talking about low turncount though. Simply that there is such a thing as too slow. You can play fast (not LTC fast) and still be maximum reliability in most FE games.
  7. Reinforcements, you risk more critical hits, more hits to land = more miss chances etc. There's playing cautiously and then there's turtling. Also, playing slowly usually means using up weapons more, so more money spent too.

We should totes 24 hour randomize (30 minutes or so left til 24 hours). I want those last 2 units so I can proceed through the game.
  9. My main issue with savestating is that console players can't use them in most games. It's an unfair advantage and you didn't even have to pay for it unlike console players. Just no.
  10. What would everyone rather see? The playthrough I had planned to do before I finished this: H3 or H4 Mid Tiers and below only no DLC items no Loony boosters no mixed male class sets or the record break first? EDIT: By Mid Tiers only, I mean every character from the High Tier and Top Tier of my current no DLC items Tier List (I have a non-public version that's more complete but would rather wait to post it til I've played through the game again) would be banned if its the no DLC items option. If its the DLC items option, the tier list that I would use is the one currently in the OP of my Tier List thread EDIT 2: This is the tier list thread: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=43004&page=1 Since I can't really completely ban the Avatar in either playthrough type, I would go Archer in the Prologue and have to bench/stay Archer afterwards. I also would use Feena despite her Top Tier status. Malicia, Palla, Catira, Caeda, Xane, Etzel, Sirius, Luke, Ryan, Rody, Draug and Linde would be completely banned from play in the Mid Tiers run with DLC mixed class sets and boosters allowed. Malicia, Palla, Catria, Caeda, Xane, Etzel, Sirius, Luke, Draug, Rody would be the ones banned from play in the Mid Tiers run without DLC mixed class sets and boosters allowed.
  11. There's an RNG-proof unit that can go against Hyman in Ogma. Just hand him the Killing Edge from Navarre. Barst can also land the final blow with a Devil Axe+savepoint combo. Hyman is a lot less worse than Chapter 1's boss for me tbh. Chapter 1's boss can always get a Jagen crit, Jagen's Silver Lance is very likely to miss and the chippers also have terrible hitrates on him. And there's no savepoint so you just have to deal with it.

  16. Here's to hoping they can't. Nana being unable to grab is all that's needed to fix Brawl's.
  17. This is why this is just silly overreaction: 1. The move barely has any horizontal range and seems extremely punishable from the sides. 2. We haven't seen it in action, for all we know, the move works like Snake's usmash, the longer it's charged, the higher it goes. Maybe it has too much startup or endlag, maybe it doesnt kill and only works for juggling. 3. For something to truly be OP, it has to be like metaknight's tornado, virtually unpunishable in some matchups (this being crucial to being OP), spammable (when done right), does a lot of damage, range etc. I only see vertical range there. No horizontal range and people are already screaming MetaKnight 2.0. I will only worry if her Forward Smash is exactly like this...but to the sides. Oh boy.
  18. Yeah, there are both. Dracoknights are fairly common and there are 12 mov Wyverns with 1-2 range throughout all of Anri's Way (Chapters 11 to 14). The Steel bow forge also greatly simplifies Ch2 and Ch3.
