  1. There is nothing that's blatantly unfinished in the Beta. Well, other then the Pepper coins not doing anything. It's not hard to imagine that this version with the debug mode disabled, Corneria's lifebar activated and a few bugs squished could be the final version of the game. But according to Beta64, referencing an Nintendolife interview with developer Dylan Cuthbert, that man possesses the final build of the game and according to him it's still quite a bit different from those other builds floating across the web.   3. Hmm, the original Xrd had around 14 characters give or take, right? I would imagine that this game would end up with a cast of a similar size. We've got 7 characters confirmed already. And Piccolo, Krillin and #18 never seem to miss in these kind of games. And these days Beerus is probably obligatory. That's 11. I suppose other good contenders would be the omnipresent Broly and Bardock. Ginyu usually manages to snatch a spot. And of course Hit and Goku Black are currently pretty hot.

  5. Holy Shit! Nintendo never even rereleased the original Starfox. I didn't dare to imagine they would actually ever release Starfox 2, a game that would surely have been mindblowing to audiences if it had been released back then. This is fantastic. Not to mention that they version of the game that is out on the web as a rom is not actually the final build of Starfox 2. So this version could be pretty interesting.
  6. Man, that episode was sooo good. I really love how they have been handling Mr. Satan. Between all of his self-promotion you can tell that he is genuinely concerned about the kids watching. It's great to see that aspect of the character getting developed.
  7. They were already voiced. The voices just didn't trigger outside of the support log.
  8. Foolish Slade. Those ain't your average village kids. They are dealing with sheep that are larger then your freaking horse. It's great to see these versions of the characters in action like this, considering that the unexpected realism of the prologue normally limits what you can do with them. And it's surprising how all the kids are shocked if they actually manage to defeat a soldier while Tobin just reuses the line he uses as an adult. I wonder if they also have quotes for healing, eating, leveling up and all that other stuff. Fun fact about the kids: If Alm equips the Golden Dagger, it will not show up on his model. The other kids don't have that problem. I wonder if the same thing would happen with other weapons.
  9. Those two green soldiers do not matter for the objective. The generic units in your own party do need to survive though.
  10. So many perfectly functional unused skills. Truly fascinating. Originally the Angel Ring had the ability to increase growth rates. This was dropped entirely but since the game rarely removes something that the original Gaiden did, I suppose it makes sense for a skill like that to be coded in, even if they ended up not using it in the end. The Anti-Dragon and Anti-God skills may have been intended for the Falchion but it would probably have made that sword a bit too useful for these kind of enemies. Chapter 6 clearly relies on these kind of enemies giving you a hard time after all. Still, it's definitely awkward that the freaking Falchion is no more effective against dragons then an ordinary Silver Sword. It's supposed to be a dragon slayer after all. This reminds me of some confusion I had in regards to effective damage. Does anyone maybe know why the boss of Chapter 6 is vulnerable to Anti-Flier weapons despite not actually having the Flier attribute? Are those attributes just for show and their actual type is invisible? I mean, their is an Anti-Mortal skill but no visible Mortal attribute. Other skills may have been intended for an potential Lunatic Mode. Or maybe for DLC. I would hardly be a surprise if the game had a lot more DLC planned then what we got in the end. IS is already working on FE Switch after all, so the folks who may have otherwise made more DLC might have been quickly transferred to help out with that project. Edit: Well, I suppose it depends on what you would have gotten in exchange. Like, having an item that turns a Priestess into a physical powerhouse could have been fun.
  11. Remember me saying on the first page that bosses keep their hard mode stats with one exception? Yep, that sole exception is Oliver. For example he now has 19 magic while only having 9 on Hard and below. It's a shame but there will be no more surprises like this. No idea why only he got buffed. But considering that as a lv 2 Bishop he is the boss with the lowest level since chapter 8, I think they made him deliberately weak on the lower difficulties, kinda like how TRS did it when fighting nobles as bosses. So maybe for Maniac they wanted to compensate for that. But that can't possibly be the only reason. If it was merely a matter of wanting to elevate Oliver to the level of the other bosses, then the Sage boss in the very next map would not be far weaker then Maniac Oliver. Edit: Too bad you didn't see Oliver's battle model. It's a deformed version of the generic Bishop. It looks utterly hilarious. No wonder Ike calls him a massive gasbag. I'm pretty sure that having any of the NPCs die here won't prevent them from getting recruited later. Unfortunately the same isn't true for Mordecai and Lethe in chapter 9. Fun fact: You can look at Leanne's stats on this map. Since Ike carries her you can't select her directly but once Tibarn's crew show up you can simply select them and then cycle through the rest of the NPCs on the map, which includes Leanne. "...I'm...sorry...I am ignorant as to what words of contrition will be appropriate to one of the heron tribe. Yet I stand before you as a representative of my people... From the depths of my heart I apologize to you... I am sorry... So truly sorry..." I suppose Sanaki's approach wasn't too bad. But instead of apologizing for the crimes of her people, she should have told the herons to let go of their hatred and throw herself of a cliff. Oh well, she is only like 12. So she might still grow up to be a true champion of peace. Besides, there probably wasn't a good cliff around anyway.
  12. And since you can't get back to the world map once you reach Part 5, you also can't restore the uses of the turnwheel. At least not without using alcohol as an offering. So it might be a good idea for Alm to keep a bottle or two in stock.
  13. To be fair, Azura barely gets acknowledged by anyone outside of Corrin in the first place. You most certainly don't get the impression that she is siblings with the other main characters. Heck, I forgot that she can even use Dragon Veins. So my headcanon is that Azura is just a figment of Corrin's imagination.
  14. Considering that the Golden Dagger can get turned into Celica's ultimate weapon, I would say that it's implied that this actually happened. Besides, Celica doesn't really seem to understand the concept of "property" considering that she always takes everything that isn't nailed down. The amount of stuff she can snatch in taverns is particularly hilarious. But on the other hand, in the cutscene where she fights Alm she is seen using the Ladyblade and not the Beloved Zofia.
  15. All of Eyvel's items will be automatically send to the storage before chapter 4.
  16. The thing with Reinhardt is that he is so overpowered that it essentially comes down to cheese him or dying. There is not much room inbetween. That guy got a maxed magic stat, Daim Thunder and Vantage. As long as his magic isn't disabled, few units survive a round of combat against him and he always attacks first. But if I had to choose I would say Marita. Her sword gives her the rare Nihil skill, which allows her to bypass Reinhardt's Vantage, so she will definitely be able to get her attacks off. Still, she is very likely going to die if Reinhardt gets to attack. But with her powerful sword and ridiculous skill selection, she has a good chance to take him down before that. And if she were to somehow survive his counter attack, Reinhardt would die as long as her attacks connect since her double attack would have a 100% critical chance. Although he might still trigger Big Shield. I don't know if it gets negated by Nihil. Another good pick would probably be Olwen with the very sword Reinhardt gives to her. Honestly, the Holy Sword seems to be designed to kill him. It's the sword with the highest attack power and it attacks twice. It also increase her magic, making her more likely to survive Reinhard's opening attack. It also apparently deals effective damage against horse units. And since Reinhardt has only 8 speed with Daim Thunder, Olwen might be able to double attack him.
  17. This is due to a weird bug. If you rewatch them from the support log, they are voiced as they should be. Apparently this bug occurs if you trigger supports during the DLC maps.
  18. Only engage an enemy army once they are supported by reinforcements. Obviously this would only come into play starting with chapter 3 once reinforcements become a thing.
  19. I wonder how that would look like when performed on more difficult terrain.
  20. I suppose that could be possible. But I tried to beat the "Kill 20 Revenants at the Novis Cemetery" quest by killing Revenants at the Mountain Graveyard (since the former stop spawning after Part 2). And that did not work. So I think that when the game says to kill 20 bandits at the Thief Shrine, it is specifically coded to only take the bandits at the Thief Shrine into account.
  21. That thought didn't occur to me. But I did rename the Ladyblade into Lady Sword and the Blessed Sword into Holy Sword. Although in the case of the latter I mainly did it because I needed more space to reference the upgrades in the name.
  22. Meanwhile on the Sonic twitter there is already a Bubsy/Sonic/Megaman crossover. Those modern social media guys waste no time. Come to think of it, that means that Megaman is now officially deader then Bubsy. ...shit.
  23. I know about the pie thief but who are the other Woolies? And to think that the poster boy of shitty Sonic clones gets a new game. This year just keeps getting crazier. Can't we at least get Jazz Jackrabbit back? Those games were actually good and are fondly remembered. Well, except for that weird GBA thing. Anyway, I'm not sure that memes are going to help Bubsy. I mean, does anyone even pretend to like the character and his game like people do with classics like Big Rigs?
