On another note, I beat the Water Trial which was terribly easy with Dartrix, Slowpoke THWOMP and Misdreavus with Charge Beam. I even caught an Adamant Dewpider. Ultimately I've been really fortunate with natures whoo.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot to talk about this.

Paras totally destroys the Totem Wishiwashi if it has Dry Skin. It's only damaging moves are Water, and while you could say the same for any Water Absorb Pokemon, Paras can actually kill it insanely quickly. Even with a Growl or two plus the Defense boost, Fury Cutter eventually ends up doing ~50%, and it kills in 5-6 turns.

It makes the fight a total joke.

oh boy... I ust GTS almost everything outside of legendaries. The power of having castforms is insane. It got me so many key trades, some of which gave me a Dragonite, Flygon, Metagross and even a pokerus Garchomp.

The GTS has so many people looking for stupid pokemon, but every now and then you find a Goodra for a ditto or some shit like that. Makes me want to kiss that other trainer. Although, I found scizor, weavile, and porygon evos almost impossible to get. Why did they make Sneasel's evo so annoying to get >_>

I have a bunch of synchronise Abras posted on the trade thread if you want any of them. I also have a variety of pokemon (though i havent been keeping track cause i been using the gts a lot) if you want to do some pokedex filling. I could also breed Axews

...Okay, Ryuki has to have some larger presence later down the line. Too much thought was put into his design for him to remain somebody who you have a 10% chance of facing after you beat the E4.

Maybe he was meant to have a bigger role? Perhaps he was going to be Captain for the Dragon Trial?

In the story, it is said that all Trial Captains have to be younger than 20, and Ryuki certainly looks younger than 20.

Maybe they though the Dragon Trial would seem more "epic" if it didn't have a Captain.

I mentioned this before in the thread, but just want to say it again that an underleveled Cottonee with Stun Spore, Leech Seed, Mega Drain and Fairy Wind totally locks it too. Though this way is pretty slow.

I would assume all trials have their weak points that can check them pretty effectively, but water trial is pretty ridiculous in this regard. (Cubone/Mudbray murders fire trial pretty effectively as well, though there are obvious speed issues here)

According to Serebii, you get it as a gift at Aether House after you do the UB quest.

Like Water Mage said, it's likely that Ryuki was going to be more important than he ended up being (maybe an Elite Four member, at some point?) before he ended up being a challenger. Alternatively, sometimes artists put a lot of work into the designs of minor characters.

Speaking of Ryuki, he's probably the first Dragon type specialist that isn't part of a lineage of Dragon type users not he is the kind of Dragon type user who delivers some philosophical speech about the relationship of people and Pokemon.

From the looks of it, Ryuki uses Dragon types simply because he thinks they are awesome. That's pretty refreshing and original actually, and it makes him stand out from other Dragon users.

Scizor isn't too bad since you can get Metal Coats on Magnemite, Skarmory and Beldum, but Weavile is horrible. Jangmo-o are pretty rare and even Kommo-o only have 50% chance of having one. Best change I think is to find a Jangmo-o and then chain SOS battle with a thief user until you get lucky.

Now that I think about it, Granbull would be pretty good for that since it learns thief and Jangmo-o's only offensive move is Dragon Claw, meaning it can't touch you. Mimikyu is even better since it does all the thing Granbul does, but his normal typing means the odd Hakamo-o and Kommo-o won't be able to touch you with Headbutt too.

I actually managed to finish my pokedex today. It was pretty neat. People give away a few legends for peanuts lol. Saw a Lunala asking for a bonsley, but i was too slow and someone else took it :<. I think i ended up getting weavile by making a chain trade. I put up goomy for a scizor and then traded that scizor for a weavile. It is actually pretty neat.

Also for anyone with moon, Celesteela seems to be pretty heavily requested on the GTS. If you need any pokemon, you might have some luck getting it quickly by offering it.

I already was able to get some pokemon like Ninetales and Honchkrow using Castform. Probably will try getting Weavile and Scizor with it. If not, I also have Goomy, Gible and Vanillish as possible rare trades. I may even try to see if using a Thief Mimikyu yields results because if so, I'll have access to Weavile as an additional rare trade.

And I'm 35 pokemon away from having the full dex, though some I'll have to beat the E4 before getting access to.

That posting problem has been happening for a bunch of people. Myself as well. I don't know why the mods don't fix it when all of us have been mentioning it so often.

Anyway, I got Magearna and Meloetta (the latter in X though, of course), so I'm working a little more on my Alola dex. I did visit the Festival Plaza too though, and it's kinda neat.
