  1. A maid outfit fetish is nothing to be ashamed of, I've seen far stranger, in fact it's a rather common fetish worldwide.
  2. Basically he's making jokes where it's really not appropriate.
  3. Disregard that, I misread a username. Either way it's rather disturbing.
  4. Edit: Strange I read James as Jyosua for some reason.
  5. I might actually go, but no promises.
  6. Well, I think he was also criticizing the buyers as well, as they are promoting it as art too.
  7. Agreed. People take offense to everything around here, and everything is a personal attack apparently...
  8. To be 100% honest, this site wasn't meant for the selling of products or services, and such things should not be conducted here, or advertised here. It's disrespectful to use someone's site that wasn't designed for advertising to advertise and sell your products or services.
  9. I agree with the bolded text. Valid points that should be taken into consideration, however what did you mean by, "we're not in FESS, or the Ashtray here, they should have known better."? Does that mean this kind of thing happened all the time there?
  10. Well, here's my two cents on the matter: 1. It's not surprising that Princess Kilvas didn't even defend her own art, although a little disappointing. She'd have gotten more credit for me if she actually stuck up for herself, but whatever, it's not my business. 2. I personally don't think it's right to sell her works either. Not because they aren't good, but because they aren't good enough to be money worthy. This site isn't a business, so it's a little strange that someone is selling things here and using the site for shameless advertising. Not to mention there are probably WAY better artists here. Hell my Onee-sama is simply amazing, and she doesn't charge anything for requests. I personally don't think we should allow the, "selling," of art, because it's basically taking advantage of the site to advertise. Not saying her work isn't good, I'm saying I have seen a lot better, and they don't even charge money, but that's in my honest opinion really. 3. Personally, I don't consider her work, "art," I don't even consider my own, "art," simply because people have the misconception that everything is art now, when it's not. If it was people would pass wind and call it art. My art teacher has never given a 100% on any project in his entire career, he's gotten up to a 99% on some people, but never 100%. I ask him his reason for this, and he states, "because not everything is art, and it takes a long stride for something to become art. You haven't truly painted something until you've painted it one hundred times." Which makes perfect sense, because some of the greatest artists in the world spent months on just one painting. I would consider anything else, "works," or "drawings," not art. I wouldn't pay for, "drawings," or "works," I'd pay for art. Not to be as critical as the person who posted there though, as I believe Princess Kilvas does have talent, but I don't believe she's anywhere NEAR the level of being able to call her works art, and to actually sell them. If people want to buy them that's fine, but really, is it worth buying something that you're just going to display on a forum? If I paid money for something, I want it to be something that is going to be framed, and can be hung on my wall. Seriously, why not just search Deviantart, or other art sites, or ask other people on THIS site if they are interested in doing something for you. Who knows you may find someone with an undiscovered talent, and even if they aren't to the same liking, you're giving business and practice to someone else, and I'm sure it'll make them feel good that you considered them, instead of always going to the same person. Once again I just like to say that this site is NOT an advertising center, they have Deviantart for that, so I think we should have SOME kind of rule for using it as such. Really advertising on a forum like this is a little annoying. I know people are going to say, "Just don't read that topic then!" Well I understand that much, but when people around the site in other places are saying, "Hey, check out *insert person's name here*'s artwork! *Insert link here.*" All over and, "Hey if you like this, you should check out, *insert person's name here*'s stuff! You'll love it!" And of course, "*Insert person's name here*'s art owns!" It's a little difficult to ignore the advertising, because it spreads via word of mouth. I wouldn't have a problem if it wasn't for profit really, as that's how undiscovered talent gets discovered, but someone is making a profit, this site wasn't meant for someone to make a profit. That's my only really concern about it. I honestly don't think that the two members who attacked the works needed to do so however, as they were simply being critical to a level that is considered rude and uncalled for. I only believe that the works shouldn't be being sold for money. There is such thing as constructive criticism. (I bolded that part because I know people won't read the entire post. So that they'll at least see that before they go after me on something that they misinterpreted due to their own laziness.) Just my two cents on the subject, doesn't mean you have to agree with it.
  11. I didn't read anything in that post that suggests the children blamed it on the game, or said they were imitating the game, but maybe it's in the articles, although I doubt it. Anyway, if parents can't teach their kids the difference between reality, and a video game, then it's the parents fault. I was playing M rated games at age 8, and I feel no desire to go killing, raping, or abusing things, or committing any other crimes. It's the parents fault for buying them the game, and not looking at the rating, and it's also their fault for not teaching them that reality is different from a game. That's just saying if it was related to the game, there IS the possibility that the hanging of said cat had NOTHING to do with the game. The fact they played it before hand could be coincidence, and we have no record of these kids behavior prior to the incident. To simply blame the video game and call it a day like the police are doing is called being lazy, and letting the parents off easy. The parents need to take more responsibility, and the kids obviously need professional help. Apparently our world needs someone to tell them what is reality, and what isn't anymore. We've gotten to the point where people are mistaking fiction for truth. What's next? Someone claims someone hurt them with a magical spell and blame Harry Potter?
  12. I actually have Windows Vista with a Macintosh modification to make it appear like a Mac. However I also have a few hacks installed and a chip or two installed that makes my computer a hybrid of both. I'd have to say they are both equally matched, as some areas that Windows is weak in, Macs are strong in, and vice-versa. I'd have to say both are superior to Linux and any of its outlets though, simply because you can't really expect a free OS to be better than ones that you have to pay a good chuck of money for. That and the emulation that you must do for almost everything is simply annoying. I do believe that Windows has helped modernize the world, and made computers easier to use, and encouraged everyone to have one. Macs are good and all, but I don't recommend having one unless you have had a PC for a while, and own one while owning the Mac. Macs just aren't the type of computer you should own by themselves, simply because a majority of people use windows, so you'll want to have windows for compatibility reasons. As far as which one I prefer, well I'll have to say neither, because in reality I'm using both right now, consolidated into one computer. Other devices such as the Wii browser, PS3 browser, PSP browser, and so on and so forth have come a long way, and I think that these devices are slowly making the internet accessible to anyone. And by the way Knife, there is a USB keyboard for the Wii.
  13. I think the fact that very few Americans know shows how much America does a poor job at educating students about the government of Canada. Possibly even showing how the United States government feels about Canada in a sense.
  14. I don't think that's accurate, actually Bizz is quite indifferent about other people. She just ignores them.
  15. It was getting a little out of hand...
  16. VBulletin has a code for it, so I wouldn't doubt there's one for IPB.
  17. Clearly you either did something wrong, or were using an old version, as the new beta 9 actually works REALLY well.
  18. You don't need a mod chip to play them. You just need the homebrew channel and the application for it that takes away the region format. You can install the homebrew channel, but you need the following: An SD Card The homebrew channel install (Found online.) Some homebrew applications to use. (Also found on the internet.) and a copy of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii edition.)
  19. To be honest this as Jyosua put it is more about the common sense stuff, and he actually puts some good morals and values into it. He is saying not to go for material girls because overall they aren't worth the effort, and they are easy to spot, which is true. He is also saying that you should wait until you're older to seriously date. Basically this is at the very least a good sign that some kids have common sense now, which is more sad that people need a kid to tell them to have common sense. That's just a sign of how shallow people are these days. I honestly doubt someone that has the moral value that you shouldn't chase girls that are impossibly beautiful with bad attitude, and instead to pursue honest girls who you can actually connect with is going to grow up to think he's some kind of, "player." I had the same values at his age, thinking that it's not worth going after boys or girls who are either impossibly handsome, or impossible gorgeous, and completely ignoring their attitudes for their attractiveness, and I will say I am no where NEAR a, "player," or a "whore." Just my two cents.
  20. I'm going to say no simply because Herons get the ability to close topics, and that's the last ability they gain, so if they had a unique color too, it'd sort of take away the only thing you really gain from becoming a Royal.
  21. Well, I make a lot of serious works, but I'm not sure about publishing as writing is something I just do as a hobby, however anyone who has read "One," from me would know that my writing can be applied to many serious situations...

  23. The rule states just not to share the illegal files, the software is fine as it's all legal.
