Rules (adapted from Integrity's)

- Ratings are for Normal Mode.

- Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted. If somebody else said what you want to already, quote them explicitly.

+/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is encouraged, but no more. If you exercise your bias privileges, please do so explicitly.

- Votes are made out of 10. You cannot rate a unit above 10 or below 0.

- The rating topic will be updated whenever I feel like it, but I will try to allow at least 24 hours for each topic. They will generally be updated at around noon EST.

- A character being inferior relative to another character does not explicitly reduce their rating.

- Characters do not get credit for recruiting others or allowing access to side quests.

- Assume that the character in question is being recruited.

- Characters do not get credit for bringing items.

- I reserve the right to ignore any votes which are not well-supported.

- You may allow a character to use scrolls (and adjust their rating appropriately) so long as it is reasonable (you may debate what constitutes "reasonable" if you feel people may disagree with you). You cannot arbitrarily increase a unit's score by arguing that they may exclusively use half a dozen scrolls for themself. In general, scrolls will probably not add more than +1 to a character's overall rating.

- Warp skipping has an impact on scores in so far as "Safy has an high base staff rank". Nanna would score lower than Safy because of her lower rank, but no chapter is explicitly said to be skipped. You can't get Warp and then suddenly say every character after doesn't exist or requires turns to recruit. Something could be said of Xavier, or Conomore/Amalda who are in an escape chapter where Leaf starts next to the escape point.

Another generic swordfighter, whose stats are decidedly average at this point in the game. He has nothing really special going for him, no PCC and Awareness is an extremely niche skill that doesn't really come into play very often (and if you feel you need it, Mareeta has it with her sword as well). Altogether, his combat isn't even as good as Pahn's. Just sort of a filler character who doesn't give anything terribly special to the team. 3.5/10

Trewd is a fairly uninteresting character that has to compete with others for a filler spot. Unlike someone like Fred or Ralph however, he's not even promoted, which means that it's likely going to cost you a Knight Crest if you want to use him.

His bases and growths aren't too bad. With a Silver Sword, 8 Strength isn't too bad even with 1 PCC and 12 Speed makes sure he doubles all the time. His starting defenses aren't too reliable, but they have above average growths, so he'll end up durable and able to fight fatigue longer than most. Then he promotes to Swordmaster, gets the key 7 Movement and even gets Continue to help his offense against tougher units. In terms of scrolls, boosting his durability faster is probably what he'd like the most, so Hezul/Neir/Dain. His abysmal Luck could use a bit of help getting out of the gutter, or you could always use a filler scroll like Baldo to prevent criticals.

Awareness would be a fun skill if it was put to use more often. As it stands, it mostly helps against bosses like the Barons. At least Trewd can use the Armorslayer from base to get those rather easily. He can probably fight Reinhart head on if you build him nice enough, hopefully with the Hero Sword or something similar. He can even benefit of a support of his good buddy Parn when he really needs it.

He's nothing special. He gets skills compared to most filler, but he starts unpromoted so he requires a rather limited ressource to be good. When promoted, he's not too disappointing, but not amazing either.

The epitome of average. He comes midgame with average stats and reasonable growths. Nihil is his sole claim to fame, and even then Mareeta's Sword has it. He won't do a team any harm, he 's just very average.

Meh stats, meh growths, and a meh skill. Not worth it given Shiva and Mareeta completely outclass him. Meh.

Grade: Meh.

4/10 for the sake of the poll.

Worth using if u want to make the Reinhardt battle easier. Give him a Hero Sword/King Sword/and a scroll; and he'll stand a chance. (Scroll needed to keep him from getting critted by Reinhardt's Master Sword.) It's recommended to steal the Daim Thunder from him first if you want to use Trude against him. Because without Heim Scroll abuse, he will never get enough Mag D. But his access to Silver weapon from the get go ups his usefulness alot. He gets great Def especially for a Merc/Swordmaster. He certainly will be alot better in frontlining if he has Ambush. As it's always nasty with a Kill Sword/King Sword/Hero Sword along with his 1 PCC. Even more chance at critting if he's by Pahn. And Pahn is a great unit to have. So, this makes an excellent support pairing. With 1~2 ranged attackers, however, he will have to use an elemental sword. A unit that I recommend to use to make Chapter 22 and the last chapter easier. Especially against Elf. Someone to use. And +1 bias for looking like Sephiroth.

No terrible dreamy fanart that makes him look like an idiot this time?

He can use the Silver Sword right away, woohoo. Nihil has its uses, but they're too rare to train a Trewd just for that. He's definitely not bad, just doesn't really stick out.

A complete boss. He completes the Thracia Trinity of Ultimate Badasses with Dagdar and Hicks. He stares down enemies with skills and is all "gfto n00b" and then he kills them all with his Silver Sword. Truly incredible.

Of the three ratings > 6, one is humourous, one isn't based in reality, and one seems to be a typo.

2/10 Doesn't bring enough to the table, considering Mareeta's Sword has awareness, and needs a Knight Crest unlike most filler units.

I can't believe people are rating this guy above Fred. The guy that kind of has a horse and all!?!

Well...

Looks like Mekkah and Ayanami think the same way. laugh.gif

I respected Mekkah

Wouldn't that be an insult, or is Ayanami right for once?

Tee Hee. :P:

I will be sincere, the first time I recruited him he was just warming the bench, the second time I didn't bother because I didn't want the thiefs to steal the treasures and run away, Thracai 776 has a lot of boring and flat characters, and Trude is one of them, it's a good thing he has an B rank and a Silver Sword, Awareness is pretty useless thanks to scrolls effect to negate critical, his base stats are ok, but his growths are serious "eh" compared to the other swordfighters, well, they're ok, I guess, considering lol scrolls, he has a build of 20% which is nice, and Prin support him.

Huh, all in all, I give this guy a 5.
