Rules (adapted from Integrity's)

- Ratings are for Normal Mode.

- Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted. If somebody else said what you want to already, quote them explicitly.

+/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is encouraged, but no more. If you exercise your bias privileges, please do so explicitly.

- Votes are made out of 10. You cannot rate a unit above 10 or below 0.

- The rating topic will be updated whenever I feel like it, but I will try to allow at least 24 hours for each topic. They will generally be updated at around noon EST.

- A character being inferior relative to another character does not explicitly reduce their rating.

- Characters do not get credit for recruiting others or allowing access to side quests.

- Assume that the character in question is being recruited.

- Characters do not get credit for bringing items.

- I reserve the right to ignore any votes which are not well-supported.

- You may allow a character to use scrolls (and adjust their rating appropriately) so long as it is reasonable (you may debate what constitutes "reasonable" if you feel people may disagree with you). You cannot arbitrarily increase a unit's score by arguing that they may exclusively use half a dozen scrolls for themself. In general, scrolls will probably not add more than +1 to a character's overall rating.

- Warp skipping has an impact on scores in so far as "Safy has an high base staff rank". Nanna would score lower than Safy because of her lower rank, but no chapter is explicitly said to be skipped. You can't get Warp and then suddenly say every character after doesn't exist or requires turns to recruit. Something could be said of Xavier, or Conomore/Amalda who are in an escape chapter where Leaf starts next to the escape point.

The definition of "unremarkable", he is probably the most forgettable character in the game and his gameplay stats reflect that as well. No skills or PCC, and mediocre but usable stats across the board. His weapon ranks are okay but not exceptional. He makes decent filler, but you've probably used one of Othin/Halvan, and even if you haven't there are tons of other sword users anyway. 3.5/10

Average Joe Smith is nothing special. Fairly good bases, useable growths and great weapon levels, but he has no skills, no supports and he's stuck at 6 Movement.

38 HP/9 Defense is good to take a few beatings at least, 14 Speed means he doubles most of the time and he's generally not slowed down often thanks to his 14 Build. Finally, he backs it up with dual 12's in Strength and Skill to hit fairly hard and often. Too bad he has a PCC of 1, but at least he doesn't require a Knight Proof. He'd only require a filler scroll like Baldo to avoid criticals since his bases are decent enough as it is.

That's pretty much it. No horse only goes so far when you're not bad but not amazing. Low movement holds him back outdoors a lot and he's nothing that special indoors either outside of his great weapon ranks.

Ralph is so unremarkable that not even Leaf supports him. And he normally supports anyone who doesn't have a support otherwise.

Anyway, he comes with good stats across the board, and is just a few swings away from an B-Rank in axes. (Btw, there are no A-rank Axes). But he got no skills, personal weapons or PCC. Hmm, maybe he immigrated from Elibe.

Still, he does well. He takes hits like a pro and kills things with little difficulty. And despite that his bases are already good, he still has plenty of levels to get even better. And being able to use Axes indoors is aways neat.

Sounds about right.

6/10+1 bias 7/10

A vastly underrated unit. Ralph can use axes, has high build and good bases

Ralph is also an axe user and axe users are somewhat rare.

5/10 he has great bases and excellent weapon ranks and he has scrolls to improve even more. His main flaws are his availability and lack of a mount. I'll give him a bias point because he looks like Grego who's a boss (so 6/10 w/bias)

I guess this guy was created to fill up a spot in case you lost or didn't train Othin or Halvan, however, there's no reason whatsoever to do that. And promoted Othin and Halvan outclass Ralph in pretty much every way. If you've been playing efficiently, don't bother with this guy, although that doesn't take away that as an actual unit, he's decent.

Also, the only reason why he's not the most forgettable character in the game is because Selfina's squad exists.

5/10
