- Ratings are assumed to be on Hard 1 Mode.

- Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted. If somebody else said what you want to already, quote them explicitly.

+/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is encouraged, but no more. If you exercise your bias privileges, please do so explicitly. Also, if your vote is already a 10/10 or greater than 9 and you give a full point of bias, The score may not exceed 10!

Not actually... that bad.

Her absolute bases are pretty solid (especially that 11 base speed). Hitting Res in this game is awesome, which is easy for her to do with her 12 magic. 40Mag/75 Spe is awesome for growths. B Tomes lets her use every tome, and C tomes gives her Physic from the word go.

In a way, she's kinda like this game's version of Gotoh. She's inferior to a trained Linde/Merric/Ellerean, but that doesn't change the fact that she's perfectly usable once she joins you.

5/10 - Better pretty much all of the remaining units

Nice ranks, but I don't want a growth mage at this point in the game. She's a bit on the slow side (11 base Speed gets her doubled by stuff on her map), and wilts if she's hit by any self-respecting physical attack.

Can be trained if you desperately need a Gharnef killer at this point of something

Has a staff rank so that's cool too

Pretty outclassed and likely won't get a slot unless you're desperate (didn't train any of Malicia/Yumina/Linde/Merric/Ellrean and didn't use Windex and/or Etzel) or is a fan of her or something

Salvagable but isn't exactly good

Katarina is the best of the latejoining prepromotes. Of course that's not much of an accomplishment since that's like winning the Special Olympics when you're neither retarded nor a quadriplegic. Still, she deserves props.

First of all, she's got mad weapon rank skillz. Her staff rank is at C as a Sage, and 30 uses from Again as a Bishop, meaning she can serve as an excellent staffbot. She also has access to Aura and Resire. Combined with her high growths, her cheap Base Arena cost, and the fact that H1 enemies aren't that threatening, it's not impossible for Katarina to become a passable combat unit. Levin Sword!Swordmaster also works ok, although she might need a spirit dust or two to help pull it off (but nobody cares about Spirit Dusts), giving her more flexibility and making her fun to use.

Plus she can Warp at base. Super sexy.

Katarina is just an incredibly flexible and and fun unit to use and can fit into your team with little effort.

5/10 but you know what? Katarina is one of the best females of Archanea, only beaten out by Palla and one of the best characters of Fire Emblem, only exceeded by Wendell, Boah, Roro, and Palla. Such a cool sis.

Oh right, her ridiculous vagina curtain. I think what makes it dumber is that it's not actually a skirt, she's wearing short shorts, so the curtain's not even necessary.

She is useable upon her joining time. But it will take a while to get her there. Plus she will never get to use Fortify for joining too late and starting at C rank in staves. Will get doubled by Horsemen, or most enemies upon her joining time. Without Rizaia or Aura, she won't be of much help offensively. But 1+ for being my utmost favorite character in the game.

And she's the messenger of death. xD

Having three B-rank staff users in the last few chapters can be pretty useful. Katarina is decent at that and also decent at randomly chipping enemies you can't quite ORKO.

Worst case scenario she can physic Marth after he get blasted by Medeus.

Ah, well, it's the thought that counts, and she isn't bad. Certainly better than scrubs like... uh, Gharnef. As well as everyone else around her jointime, because seriously your options are kind of pathetic by then.
